Description
I've Cached Everywhere, Man . . .
Here's the latest place to find, to make sure that you've really cached 'everywhere' . . .
The cache isn't hidden in funky downtown Parramatta, but rather near beautiful Lake Parramatta!
I think this is a much nicer place . . .
Pull in off North Rocks Road and park convenient in the little area near the sign in the photo that I've uploaded.
You won't need to walk far to find the cache, which is in a place that every geocacher will immediately recognise. It's easy.
Then you can have a pleasant stroll down the pathway to the lake.

Out today chasing down some of the GC water towers series brought me this way. I recall seeing that there was road access on this side when I did the lake series. My iPhone wanted me in a different spot and when that didn't yield results, I looked around and spotted something more obvious. Wasn't there but it had me on the right wavelength for a find soon afterwards.

That lake is great. Can't wait to come back to see more of it.

This one sits just a short stroll from the church I attended as a teenager in the 80s. I also had no idea you could access the lake from this side.

I tagged along with Zal to look for this one, while the rest of our walking group waited, in the rain, on the main lake track. I didn't have any details on my GPS, and was just going to let Zal indicate where to look. But at GZ we saw two likely looking objects and just went to investigate them. I chose badly, and Zal made the find in the second of the objects..
Thanks pjmpjm

We took a little detour off the Lake Walk during the GCNSW Winter Walk event and popped up here for this ICEM hide. The rain had started to fall but that didn't stop us ploughing up the hill and making a quick find. Everything is well, safe and dry. Cheers PJM!

I drive past this little spot every day on my way to work, but never actually explored down there.
coords had me 11m off (probably the trees). But I had narrowed it down to two possible spots, and as usual it was in the second!
Log is a bit damp but signable, enjoyed the parody.

Found this cache hidden in it's hidey hole. Unfortunately couldn't sign the log as there was no pen in the cache container and I lost mine at the previous cache search. Nice quick find. TNLN. TFTC.
Came to Lake Parramatta after work to find the final 4 of the GC caches I had previously not found but mainly to find this cache. Went for the walk around the Lake picking up the ones I had missed in February when I was just starting out and didn't know about GCA. Got to this spot and the GPSr wouldn't settle down just as I had picked out where to look I heard voices next door and the father, son and little dog came out to go for a walk. Spent a little bit of time talking to them and then they went 1 way & I went the other. After 5 minutes came back to where I picked but it wasn't there though I found it in my second option. Thanks for the cache first person in 2015 to find

I had found enough GC caches for the day, and was heading off to work when I noticed this was on the way.
Over a year since the last find on an easy cache.
Thanks.

Only noticed the other day that this was a GCA cache inside my 10km radius that had somehow escaped my attention. After a visit to Spindoc Bob to pick up my lost GPSr I dropped by this spot where I've hunted the odd cache before. The first likely spot had rubbish in it but the second revealed a typical pjmpjm offering. Signed (the first in 31 weeks) and replaced. Slight dampness but otherwise in good nick.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This is it, at last GCA find number 4000!
It seemed very appropriate that this should be a hide by my good friend pjmpjm, who over the years has played taxi driver for me on numerous occasion.
No problem finding the hide, I went for the very obvious spot, only to be disappointed and soon spotted the second most likely hiding place and Bingo! there it was.
The container was extracted , the paperwork was slightly damp but nothing to worry about, after signing duties it was all returned to the hiding place.
Thanks pjmpjm for a nice little cache and my 4000th.

I did the caches around Lake Parra a while back - including the rather rare open cache - but for some reason (ie. lack of thorough preparation on my part) missed this one.
Now the CO says the cache is "in a place that every geocacher will immediately recognise. It's easy." That may very well be, but when I arrived at gz I had only eyes for one very likely candidate and was soon burrowing deep in search of the goods (yes, in flagrant disregard of the CO's explicit instructions in the hint).
Only once I unearthed a Coopers bottle in the old grenade stubby style (which haven't been made for some 10 years) did I realise that the cache wasn't there. I walked around for a bit, completely blind to the other obvious place right nearby, thinking "it must be gone". Only when I started walking back to my car and turned for one last perusal of the scene did I see the true gz. Really it beggars belief how I could miss seeing it for so long.
Thanks pjmpjm, I suspect your other fiendish hides have cast a pall over my ability to find even your 'easy' caches now. I might have the caching equivalent of the yips.

Parked nearby and wandered down towards GZ. Wondered where to start at first but noticed two hallmark locations. Chose the wrong one first and was relieved to find it quickly at the other. Thanks again pjm.

552. Fighting one's way around Sydney's traffic is truly painful. The drivers themselves are pretty good it's just that there are so damn many of them allllll the time. Anyway got out of the traffic here and managed a quick find even though my GPSr was pointing a bit further away.

A lovely walk through Parramatta Lakes this afternoon with my son whilst caching allowed us to collect this cache shortly after finding a nearby GC cache.
Thanks for another well placed and simple cache pjmpjm.

Found the nearby OC cache hidden by Spindoctors and then realized that I'd parked next to this one. TFTC
Must have been hot on The Spindoctors trail...I drove up and parked close to GZ. Went over, found cache in a usual place. SL, TNLN and replaced. Another ICEM Done

I was expecting a short hike to find this one, but it turned out to almost be a drive by. The cache was quickly found and logged. If you have time, there is a great track that winds around the lake nearby.
You're right this is a wonderful location, so close to the lake. Today was a special visit with a journalist from ABC Radio National, doing a piece on geocaching. Your cache will be featured in the episode going to air in January. As well as talking about GC.com and the other caches around the lake I also wanted to draw his attention to the wonderful GCA caches we have and the great website and forum at Geocaching Australia. I even explained the idea behind the ICEM series and he was very impressed by the lyrics of the song you left. The song will also be featured in the episode. He was very lucky to also experience a very unique Swaggie left in the cache. We had a great chat about all things GCA. Thanks for leaving this one here.

Even with FTF already gone, we decided to go and get this one before doing the shopping run. Nice quick find by Anna while I was still waiting for the GPSr. The first of the series knocked over, thanks pjmpjm.
I couldn't let this sit for too long so I dashed out at 6am this morning to get FTF What a great time to be here with the air so fresh and all the birds calling out. I really enjoy the bush and walks around Lake Parramatta and now there's another good reason to come here. TFTC pjm
