Description

This cache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere, Man (ICEM) project, the largest cache series in Australia

It is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack.

Tassie gets its own verse thanks to Hookline:

GCA Verse 6 by hookline
I've cached in Ulverstone, Dulverton, Smithton, Burnie,
Queenstown, George Town, Campbell Town, Swansea
Lilydale, Scottsdale, Berriedale, Bicheno
Rosebury, Fentonbury, Dodges Ferry, Jericho
Cockle Creek, Lake Leake, Sisters Creek, Winnaleah
Wayatinah, Poatina, Tulendeena... yeah, I've cached there!

This cache is located at the beginning of the zig zag path that connects Upper Maud street to Maud street. It is a busy path for children on their way to and from the local primary school. From here there is a good view of West Ulverstone across the river to East Ulverstone.. The iconic Memorial Clock can be seen from just about every location around Ulverstone - this location is no exception.

The cache is a 1L camo Sistema container with swaps. ICEM -Ulverstone cards are provide for each finder. It also contains a FTF prize with two additional goodies.

After a DNF nearby, we thought we better have a go here. Alas, there has been a lot of clean up going on here, and the area around GZ has really had a short back and sides job together with a lot of the pathway in general. Makes it look very neat and well cared for, but doesn't do much for good geocache hides. Thanks anyway 2y'stassies. Sad

We've driven past (well nearby) this cache for the past 5 days, so we thought we'd better make the effort today, and we still overshot the turn-off!
So, yet another turn-around and we were soon at GZ for a fairly quick find.
Found with AlbyDangles on day Six of the 'Bust' leg of our "Kempsey or Bust" tour. Our last day, but still finding a few on our way as we leave the coast.
Cheers, EPs.

Today we decided to do some caching in between the heavy showers of rain, this one was on our radar today as we are working to complete the ICEM series of caches. Once at ground zero it was Rock Paper Scissors to see which one of us was going to reach into the wet bush to retrieve the cache. We signed the log and placed the cache back into its hiding place. Whilst looking for another cache in the area, we checked on this cache and found that the container was severely cracked but the contents were dry thanks to a kind cacher who had doubled bagged everything. A new container has been provided and all is now well.

Nice views from up here. There was a large harvesting machine in the field opposite, but I don't think they noticed us skulking around. First find on an ICEM cache that isn't one of mine!! I made up some more of the little souvenir badges and left them in the cache in addition to your nice cards. Also left a pathtag and usual caching philosophy. Thanks for the cache!

Lovely views of town and surrounds with close up of the various Dial Range peaks. Cache had creeped a little...put back in hidy hole. I don't believe I've ever driven out along this road...remarkable considering the amount of time living here....but that's what Geocaching does best. Many thanks 2y'stassies....another top spot...Cheers.

I love exploring and I love finding out of the ways..hence I love geocaching and this spot On Von Birras Drive was well worth the discovery and the cache. A lovely view of the river and the town.....sorry I actually paid more attention to the river mouth than the town of Ulverstone...and I would have had a ftf except work kept getting in the way....twice.
Thanks 2y'stassies.
