Description

We found this place to launch my 3 gnomes in the 2010/2011 gnone race, since then this spot has been used to drop of many moveable caches.

In 2011/2012 it was used as the starting place for a few frogs and now it has it's very own cache.

Easy parking close by.

Checked on the cache today and it is still there waiting to be found.

Easy to get to, but no one was home - suspect that this cache is no more.

Found It!
Not a bad view from up here! Had to wait for the rain to stop but after that I soon found the cache. The logbook a rather damp but I'm not sure how/why.

#GA3185 - 13:45; In Melbourne for a couple of days with Sol de lune and after a later than usual start to the day, we headed over to give a new series in Darebin a try. We managed to find 10 of 17 for our efforts for 10 *FTF* as a bonus before heading further afield to collect moveables and anything else in the vicinity. The nearby moveable wasn't so nearby, having made its way to Hawaii, so I headed over solo to give this cache a try, as Sdl had been here before. Managed to find the tradesman's entrance and locate the cache, disturbing some of the resident ants in the process. It's quite damp inside, but the replacement log was all nice and dry, so I could add my name to it. TFTC Keeper of Time Very HappyClan Cerberus

GCA Find #189

After nearly 3 Years of unlove, I had my doubts to whether the cache was still in play. Anyway to my pleasant surprise the cache was exactly where it should be. The log was very wet, so I placed a new log in a new plastic bag so others will have no problems. So all is good with this lonely cache, come and get it, I say. ClappingClan Phoenix

Thanks KEEPER OF TIME

Early morning flight from Canberra saw me in Melbourne and at this first cache around 8.00am Headed over to GZ and made the find without issue. (Log book is a wet as mentioned at the event, and will probably need replacing.)

As I was walking away from GZ, another car pulled up in the parking area, and I thought, must be a cacher, so I was sprung. Turned out to be geo_jas, a fellow Cerberus Clan member who was I hoping to meet at the event anyway. So, after introductions, he found this one and we then set for a few more down in the park. Turned out to be a good caching wise.....just not so much weather wise!!!

Thanks for this one Keeper of Time, and yep, good to meet you today as well....

With the event nearby today I decided to head over early and grab a few caches before the event. There was another car in the nearby parking but I didn't think too much about it til I saw a person walking back with what was obviously a GPS in their hand. I asked if he'd found it yet and after introductions I was very happy to meet Sol de lune. We chatted as I went across to make the find (with an extra hint to speed things up) and we headed off to pick up a few more.
Thanks Keeper of Time for the cache and it was nice to meet you today.

We were able to find a park within 50m of the cache. Once a few muggles moved on, we were able to make a quick find.Unfortunately there container was wet inside and the log was damp and some maintenance is required. Thanks for the cache.

Glorious day to be out, made a quick find. Three finds in a month, a popular GCA lately. Different perspective of the park from here, one I haven't seen before. Thanks.

One last cheeky visit for the day... I guess I'd better go and do some actual work while the day is young.

Found by Team Ladava around 5.00pm.
I was stricken with a case of man-cold (all the males of the species will understand how much worse man-colds are than those mild colds the females of the species complain about) however, getting bored sitting around I decided the only remedy was a drive and some outdoor activities on a cold and showery day.
Somehow I have never ventured down here previously for movables but I have a feeling coming on that I may be returning around Christmas.

Our thanks to Keeper of Time for the cache and bringing us to this location.

I found this cache with caughtatwork today. We checked Bob and Yaren and they're both missing so we're going to replace them. Then daddy made big sister J drive over here for some more practice and we got out and found the cache.
Thanks Keeper of Time.

GabGab and I were checking out Bob and Yaren at Brimbank Park and when we'd done our work, we stopped past to grab this new cache.
It's a location we've been to once or twice for various other caches but it was nice to get here and actually replace the same cache we found.
Thanks Keeper of Time for this cache in the area. Makes a nice chance to keep my GCA stats up.

Found at 9:00am this morning.

I've visited this location dozens of times over the last few years, picking up boxes, gnomes and frogs, so today I didn't even take a GPSr with me - the description said it all! A quick find exactly where I expected it to be, and an empty logbook too... yeehaa! I took the FTF prize - many thanks to KoT! I also took the frog from the other end of the log, which I'll move on soon. It felt quite strange returning the cache back to its hidey hole today, something I'm not used to doing here. Somehow I expect that this cache will receive many maintenance visits from the owner over the coming years. Cheers!
