Description

This Frog is part of the GCA Great Leap Frog Race between December 1, 2011 until January 31, 2012.

Please help him to fulfil his duty by helping to move him along, sign the log book inserted inside him (a very painful but necessary operation) and log online at Geocaching.com.au

Please move him along ASAP, he is in a race.

Please note this plastic/ceramic/acrylic/PVC frog is only small (10cm) this makes him adept at hiding.

The rules of the "Moving Cache Leap Frog Game" are published on the Caching Games site, a ladder and map are also available

Logging this cache is easy:

First Step:   Log your find with a 'Found it' log (this will give you your smiley!)

Second Step:

When you have moved the cache to a new location, log a 'Moved' log, adding the new co-ordinates and even a hint in the hint box if you wish.

So go for it – this frog is out there waiting for you.

My friends - Mrs Frenchy, GnomaDoc, This Little Piggy, and Dan the Dumper have been chilling with the rest of my Krew for several weeks now. Mrs Frenchy said that she was getting hungry, having cleared our house and yard of all flies, cockroaches, and any other pests who happened to pass our boundary. In fact all of our house guests were eager to get a move on, so we called for a Moveable Uber and hit the M1.

Our first stop was at the Logan Parklands where I thought it was more than appropriate to have a farewell party, except that Mrs Frenchy complained there was no pies, GnomaDoc was in shock at all the sugar in our feast, This Little Piggy said it was too clean, and Dan reminded me that he only ate AdBlue, any other diesel was no good for his injectors. Guess that means that it will be Max and I consuming all these goodies.

Mrs Frenchy decided she liked the place and found a hollow in a tree near the river which she said would be perfect. She hopes someone will come soon to help move her on.

Good luck Mrs Frenchy.

Reading previous logs, this moveable may still be in location OR may have been found, removed and not relocated yet. We know moveables can sometimes be forgotten / missed / left in the bottom of a caching bag, so a check has been undertaken on this one.

An update will be posted within 28 days….

I heard there was a new frog in town, so thought that even though its been quite wet, I'd organise my human krew to go and collect her.

After we found her with Gnomadoc we stopped at the lookout to enjoy the view on the way back to the car. I wondered why both she and gnomadoc preferred to be looking up, rather than at the surf, then I realised they were looking all the way up to the top of the lighthouse. Yes I suppose it does look different. I asked her if she was hungry and she replied in the affirmative. She joined us for lunch at the RSL, unfortunately she couldn't find flies on the menu. I hope chips would do.

I will hide her again very soon.

It's time for Mrs Frenchy to leave, and she insisted on another nice coastal location. I was near the Gold Coast at the time, so once that was suggested she happily agreed. So there she waits, in Mother-In-Law Park. She peeps out from the bottom of the only small but stately pine tree in the vicinity. Good luck with your travels, Mrs Frenchy! I hope your new container and chain stand the test of time.

As can be seen by the previous logs, Mrs French went out on the town tonight! She attended a geocaching event with two gnomes, and a few geocachers fell in love with her. And who can resist her cheeky face. She was a bit damaged when I found her - her log compartment had lost it's lid and wasn't attached very well. Her log was wet, but I've dried it out and it's now in good condition. I've also replaced the tube that her log was stored in with a bison tube, and it's attached to her with a piece of chain. I bought her home after the event but will find her a spot tomorrow where she can sit and wait for the next cacher. It's been great having her at home and she looked so good on my veranda table in between two pot plants. I'll miss seeing her there!

I was in Wooli today to find some trigs and see if I could find Mrs Frenchy. I wasn't disappointed either! Got all the trigs I was aiming for, and found Mrs Frenchy hiding away, with what must be one of the most awesome views. Such a pretty spot, I wouldn't blame Mrs Frenchy if she wanted to stay here longer! But I thought it best to pick her up and I'll move her north in coming weeks.
Her container is missing a lid, and the log is gone - but a spider has moved in and had a few babies in there. I'll give Mrs Frenchy a touch-up before I release her. Really awesome to find a movable frog. All of mine are long since gone. Thanks Splad!

Now in Bellawongarah, a locality on Berry Mountain. Best approached on the descent into Kangaroo Valley where you take the turn at the sign to Beaumont Fire Brigade. Park next to the fire station & walk up the track. Don't drive up as you will have difficulty turning around. Has another cache for company. If you have time there is a good bushwalk to the top of the escarpment with the trackhead just before GZ - look for the small cairn & pink ribbon. There is an abandoned cemetery near the fire station with a GC cache.

She jumped onto the back seat after saying hello to fellow cachers & is now enjoying the windy south coast. Wild & Windy everywhere she went today but is safe from the bush fire near Nowra.

Hello Mrs Frenchy. you made my day. You were one of only two GCA caches I found today. I have not had incredibly good luck here this weekend with GCA caches.

so of course I was overjoyed to find this frog right where it was posted as being. I have picked it up to take on a road trip. I am not sure where she will go as going home isn't really good for movable caches.

30-May-17
Froggy has been sitting in its hole behind the tree for over 6 months now so time to move on. Made a slight detour and found two moveables early this morning as we got ready to head further south.

Froggy's log is damp and mouldy so we will dry it out before she continues her travels. Froggy herself is also looking a little grubby so will give her a bath and spruce up so she is ready for her next move.
