Description

Hazel is a small green frog sitting on the log container. Log is a tight fit.

The area where Hazel begins here race in its day was one of if not THE biggest cherry growing orchards in NSW.

Now the area is divided up into smaller acreage.

There is a great view towards the mountains from GZ

This spot is very popular as one of the last places for good mobile phone reception as you travel north along the road.

Help Hazel to race faster and further than her friend Philbert.

Thanks to Gowza, Elmer_Stratty,º ,lemmyck, Trailrunning, themd, The Empire, geojas and quiet1_au  for moving Hazel

The race is over................

If at all possible,  if Hazelnut could hope northwards to Orange/Bathurst/Lithgow area or the Blue Mountains or even Sydney, I will find a permanent place for her close to home.

This geocache appears to be MIA so to stop it clogging the search lists we'll archive it. This is done to keep the Geocaching Australia clean and up to date.

If the owner can confirm it is in place the listing can be resurrected by placing an "unarchived" log against it.

Making our way to GZ when a nearby muggle started a conversation that we thought meant they'd found the cache already. Soon realised that they were talking about the stone platform, not the cache itself. Thank goodness. Made the find and ran for the hills. TFTC

Thanks for the cache jenmen

Black Bunny and I went out for an evening drive with a couple of dogs, to sniff out some movable caches. Sadly, there seem to be a lot of movable caches that are not where their logs say they ought to be. Luckily, this one was!

We plan to take our collection for a long Christmas drive and set them free somewhere nice.

A prisoner exchange was arranged in our southern angel capital. Nine angels from NSW and ACT were exchanged for nine angels of various origins who were being kept in an angel-proof enclosure in Templestowe. A bedraggled assortment of various other moveables was also rounded up. All in a day's work. Thanks to geo-jas.

Much to my shame I looked in an old caching bag and found this cache still sitting there Embarassed . I just haven't checked that bag for a age.
My apologies and hopefully this one will move on again soon.

As compensation this little guy is resting high on a hill with a great view and a friend.

This one has been sitting in its previous location in Viewbank, somewhat unloved Sad, for a little too long. Time to move to a beautiful bit of urban bushland and spend some time with a few other moveables to see if she can attract some attention there.

Good luck Very Happy

We were on the way back to 'camp' after a bit on an excursion up to Arthurs Seat today when this one popped up. A combination of the Fire Brigade muggles about 30 metres away and the slightly moist logsheet meant that I retrieved the stash at 15:25 for a journey back to the Big Smoke.

I will relocate it shortly, after I've dried out the logsheet.

TNLNSL. Thanks Jenmen.

We were out 'n about on the Peninsula today and as we set off for home I opened my backpack and noticed this little cache was still there!! Oh well, what for it... This is as good a place as any!

As it is, it's a great place with a great view that Hazel Nut can enjoy until next picked up.

28-Apr-12
I've been aware of this one sitting at the top of my hitlist for ages but have never really got around to it. But today, with some nearby cache maintenance to do I decided to finally sort this frog out. Managed to keep beta female away from the playground long enough to make the easy find and took in the nicely flowing creek.

It's now home with us until I find it a new, hopefully interesting home.

Dropped this off this morning in a spot with some water nearby. After carefully averaging the position and saving the waypoint, I managed to lose my GPSr some time later. Crying or Very sad (Not here though)

I went back later and got a mobile phone position, so my advice would be to use the hint.

Well, would you believe the local Coles store rang to tell me they had found my GPSr. Must have dropped it while shopping there! I've updated the position with the probably more accurate one from the Garmin.

19-Feb-12
We were in Wattle park to set up a geocaching scouting activity, however, since we were there, we decided to pickup 5 frogs that have been languishing here for some time.

Cute little critter.

We'll get it moving again soon.

Thanks Jenmen.

A little later than I had hoped to move these Leapfrogs, but still 10 hours to get move them on!

31-Jan-12
Last day of the race, so when I saw a few Leapfrogs within striking distance of me (via a long out of the way detour to work) I had to grab them! I'll do my best to hide them again this morning, on the off chance there are some quick froggers in the area.

I wanted to try to entice someone to come grab these for one more move before the game ends so here they are. Come on down for a nice walk along the Koonung Creek and a nice easy find on 6 frogs and a gnome.

A nice spot next to the path to watch the passing traffic and the creek flowing past on the other side. Thanks Jenmen for the frog.

30-Jan-12
Grabbed on my last lunchtime frog run of the season. Not a bad 90 minutes out with 6 frogs and a gnome. I parked nearby but I had to detour to another nearby frog and GC cache waiting for the muggle parked overlooking gz to move. A quick grab once he'd left. Will drop off in eastern suburbs hopefully tonight.

Within 2 minutes of arriving here this morning it started to hail!!

Gotta love a Melbourne summer!!

This was a bit of a needle in a haystack.

The hint could have been a number of spots.

Luckily it was the second I looked in.

As I did not take it I'll log the move to ensure cachers come to pick it up.

09-Jan-12
My usual Monday night run was cut short and I was only able to pick up about 8 caches in the one hour I had available to me and this was one of the leapfrog caches found and signed. As I didn’t have time to move them on I left all of them in-situ for the next person to collect. This was the last frog for the night before heading home at 6 pm for dinner. Access to this one was from the grassed area and there was no need to enter the bamboo thicket. Thanks for the opportunity to log this cache.
