not sure how long he has been hiding in my garden. hope he won't linger as long at the base of this big tree.
Over 12 months since it was last found or moved, so we'll archive it for now and if it does resurface, the listing can be unarchived.
enjoying the sea breeze and chatting to the seagulls
not taken or lost, it was visiting Gnorris in hospital an has now returned to the published coordinates waiting for a lift.

Attended the very enjoyable GCA Moveable & Mystery Madness event (GA10647) in Whiteman Park today with Chwiliwr and Gwawr. We found this cache with all the other moveable caches that were brought to the event by the various GCA cachers in attendence. There were also a couple found not actually at the event.
Thanks for the cache.

Discovered 'Frank the Frog' at the Moveable & Mystery Madness Event held in Whiteman Park. The forecast was for rain but we were blessed with good weather for the day. A small but dedicated group of geocachers and a couple of new faces attended and exchanged stories of caches found and missed. Many thanks Wild Josh for the cache.

Planning for this trip began in June - we knew we would be heading to Adelaide but which way would we go? This depended on our targets. We looked at our list of unclaimed Dragon Zone trophies and picked out several that we could feasibly collect the required number of finds to qualify for the trophy. We then had to identify caches that would meet our targets and from here it was time to plan a route that would take us past the caches we had identified. Any caches too far off our route were discarded and replaced by suitable alternatives.
All was running smoothly until the Christmas in July game was announced. We would be travelling in the latter part of the game. It was difficult to include this in our target caches as we did not know what was required. Once the game began and we understood what we needed to do we could then add other caches to the target list.
We were just getting our heads, yes all four of them, around this when more Dragon Zone trophies were added. Which ones could we meet and which should we ignore? Do we need to add more GA caches and/or do we need to change our route and our targets? We decided on our target list and then our route and timeline. We had just drawn a line under everything and were about to begin printing our caching booklets, route maps and target lists when caught@work published 23 new caches on the Western Ring Path. Earlier we had decided on the caches in the Edgewater Walk series. If we added the new ones on the Western Ring Path and as many of the CCC series as possible, we could probably reach the required number of caches to qualify for the Dragon Zone trophies “Restraining Order Stalker” (Find 100 DZ caches hidden by the same cacher) and “Obsession!=Insanity” (find 50 DZ caches in a day). As the latter would give us our first Blaze Trophy, it was decided to alter everything to include the CCC series.Four Fun, in South Australia published five puzzle caches that would bring good points in the Christmas in July game. Can we solve the puzzles? A few more adjustments to the route and the caches to find list and we would be off.
Having successfully completed our Melbourne challenges and gained our first Blaze Dragon Zone trophy it was time to focus on the Christmas in July game. We started on the Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park puzzle caches recently published by Four-Fun. With Four-Fun's puzzles found, several of J_&_J's puzzles found and the Christmas in July game over it was time to focus on completing the requirements for a few more Dragon Zone Trophies.
When we knew that there was a possibility that we would have a break from grand parent duties we had planned this slight detour so that we could find both GA and GC caches that would meet the requirements for several Dragon Zone trophies and several GC challenge caches in several states. As we had already visited all states and territories except Western Australia this year it was time for us to hop on a plane and head for Perth, Western Australia.
When we were at home we had noticed that Lazarus68 had been collecting moveable caches during a recent visit to the eastern states. We wondered if Lazarus would be back in the west by the time we visited and if we would have an opportunity to find the moveables that were in his care. So, we contacted Lazarus and the stars did align. We made arrangements to visit and we were able to log finds on quite a few moveable caches. Many thanks Lazarus68 for making these caches available for our visit. In turn, we left another ten moveables in the area which are also now in the care of Lazarus68.

Just enough time to drop you off for the local geocacher to find you.
Hmm, must've been asleep on the job to not notice this guy for the past few days. Grabbed tonight for scavenge points. He'll be back on the road again soon. Thanks Wild Josh.

Moved this one to a usual spot, where a local Frog Finder should be able to grab.
Found a new frog while doing the summer scavenge series. One I hadn't seen before so I grabbed him to move along to Sydney's north. Thanks Wild Josh. Left another moveable in his place.
Found Frank but as he's only just arrived decided to leave him in this nice little shelter. Another summer scavenger hunt down!

Frank came for a bushwalk with me today and hopped off under a ledge so I left him to it!
On my return visit today for Historical Rookwood I grabbed this guy and put him in my dilly bag
I didn't get far before Frank hopped off and hid in the nearby bushes.
Frank was waiting for us in the rain and wanted to get to a nice creek somewhere. I'll see what I can find

Frank wanted to get back to a new abode and meet new cachers.
A very nice surprise on my return from Sydney last night, this old friend and a couple others were waiting impatiently to be let in for a rest.

NOTE - Frank is now on the move ...
Tenting at Temora ...
Another chappie left in residence for nigh on 16 months ... a seek under accumulated debris and a deep dig gave nothing to show. Then, what was seen as a large section of tree growth was tapped ... D'OH! Camo, and of a size to justify given Frank's girth.
Found a tad cobwebby and dusty he remains in fine fettle ... and is now on the road to Lithgow, in a few days, to reunite and chat with rogerw3.
Thanks for the moveable, Wild Josh

GCA 1098 - 10855. Drive By Moveable as Boot put it !
Spotted in the hands of Sol de lune on the side of Mt. Taylor - therefore a quick find ! Nice to see such an oldie still going (The Frog - not SDL...)
TFTC !!
I find that the moveables are a great addition to geocaching. The fun of chasing them around - sometimes finding them in place - sometimes not - puts a bit more interest on the Geocaching Australia side of things. These games also tend to boost the numbers of moveables around - especially in December and January - perfect time to spend a bit more time caching away in Summer and / or holidays. My favourites tend to be the Gnomes - memories of a misspent childhood come to mind.... Lol.

A drive by moveable! Yes, I found them when they virtually drove by.
Many thanks to LuckyL10n.

#GA600 - 12:35; I've had my eye on this nest of moveables for quite some time and wasn't sure if they would survive the wait until my next visit. Dropped by today on the way to Nowra and found that all was quiet. I managed a thorough inspection which delivered eight moveables and a GCA traditional. I had just finished my work when a family of muggles turned up to use the playground. Fifteen minutes earlier and I may have been snookered! Frank the Frog is on the hop! TFTC Wild Josh

A virtual move as I crossed the border. Lightning Ridge is down the road so every likelihood that's where this will go.
Camping at Campwin but heading south again as too warm up here. Don't look here as in my boot.
I have a watch on this one so checked to see if it had company. It is a fair way down but I once drove to this rest stop to check on Macca's Mover which had been burnt to a crisp in a bushfire so a trip for 7 could be rationalised, despite the Fed's new tax. The highway has been upgraded since then as well. A very cool day. I may be travelling this way soon depending on factors but paranoia set in - you never know. The hint got me there. Round & round it goes.

Hid them the way I found them, together. Accuracy not the best but the hint should help.
One of seven I pulled out of the scrub. Hadn't intended to take it with me but there were workers everywhere sweeping twigs, erecting a new fence plus a helicopter delivering water board equipment so they all jumped in the car with me. Oh well, a new experience.
I'll stick him down the backyard & if he survives the 2 red belly blacks that have taken up residence (they're partial to frogs) he'll be moved somewhere wilder.

Frank was spied from afar as he was staring down at me in plain sight. He gave me a wave and I scrambled up. He has himself prime real estate,so there was no way I would even suggest he should leave. He's still there.

Frank has managed to escape from the depredations of the Federales and is still in place at home.
wow a bit of a climb down, perhaps we came the wrong way but far more exciting than the stairs which we found later, tricky find , SDL did most of the climbing up to his perch.
Headed off with Albida and Mtrax for (another) visit to the Gnome Gnation to see a few new residents. Although word on the way established a few had already taken off for greener, yet colder, pastures, we continued with our plan and still managed to catch up with quite a few of the recent arrivals.
Our plan this time was not a mass round up, but that doesn't mean future trips wont include a complete clean out. Time, and re-enforcements, will dictate future retrieval missions.
This little guy was a little harder to spot, but after a short scramble he decided to come on out and play. I re-arranged his hiding spot and he now has a neat little view out over the valley below......but from below, you will need to look closely.
Thanks for another one.....another great location

Blue Mountains GCA trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. We headed off to visit the Gnome Gnation area on Mt Piddington. We had some bad news on the way up that several had been retrieved yesterday, but we persisted and I managed to find 13 moveables, two GA Trads and two Trigs. The area up here is amazing. Dense bush opening out onto huge vistas and quite a bit of clambering to get to some as well. A great day, but now I have to chase a pile more locally. Thanks
Albida
Albida
Left where it was!
The tenth of twelve movables found at Mt Piddington today.
After climbing down the steps we went up the rocks for the find. Well we combined as a daisy chain to do all of this!?!

This one was a combined effort - my little Monkey Girl climbed up to fetch the cache for us, she handed it down to me (perched half way up) & I in turn handed it down to the Canary with both feet on the ground for safe signing . Then we did the whole thing in reverse to get th3e cache back in place
Frank the Frog has joined with a group of disenchanted Gnomes in the occupation of this tract of land, the aim being to secede from Australia and create their own independent country.
However with Gnomes in charge this may turn into a dictatorship, it remains to see if emmigration is greater than immigration.
However with Gnomes in charge this may turn into a dictatorship, it remains to see if emmigration is greater than immigration.
Frank the Frog has joined a mass exodus of moveables led by renegade Gnomes, who knows what they plan to do? They are all in hiding for now while hatching their nefarious plans. No point looking for any of them they are nowhere to be found until they are ready to reveal their ultimate goal.

I found this cache with caughtatwork today. We brought all the caches home and have logged them into our closest hiding place. caughtatwork has picked them all up already, so there is nothing there to find. It's been a while since this guy was found, so caughtatwork says he'll move them on shortly.

There seldom seems to be any GCA caches placed out my way and I've gotten out of the habit of checking for them - so it was a bit of a surprise when I did a check the other day and found there was not 1, but 4 of them all within easy walking distance of home. I felt a bit of exercise was in order this afternoon, so I took my camera and went for a walk and did them all and checked on a couple of my caches at the same time. I gather the game these caches were involved in is now over so, as I didn't have a bag to carry them, I left them where they were - but I may retrieve some of them to move on at a more convenient time for me.

The girls were having so much fun that they couldn't stop at just 4 finds, and insisted on going to hide them again as well! Oh well - ok... Smile Drove the car as far as they'd let me to a park that had good hiding potential where we rehid the entire lot....
Overall, a great way to fill in the arvo!

Child-minding a bunch of the cousins today at our place, so we decided to keep the three young girls amused with some caching - We've knocked off our locals but fortunately there was a nearby park filled with frogs and gnomes. Perfect! All took turns in using the GPSr and they were all found pretty swiftly with much laughter and excitement. Great stuff!

I wanted to try to entice someone to come grab these for one more move before the game ends so here they are. Come on down for a nice walk along the Koonung Creek and a nice easy find on 6 frogs and a gnome.
Frank, being the biggest, was the first out of the bag just after I crossed over the freeway. He's hiding near the path. Thanks Wild Josh for the frog.

Grabbed on my last lunchtime frog run of the season. Not a bad 90 minutes out with 6 frogs and a gnome. Had to circle around for this one and come back to avoid the walking muggles. Will drop off in eastern suburbs hopefully tonight.
Picked up Frank on a run thru Geelong.
Will move on soon.
