Description

The Sistema Twins

One of several of our entries in Caching Games Leapfrog.

The Sistema Twins are travelling with their home - a small Sistema Container.

Their home contains a logbook and a pen.  There is room for small swaps as well.

Leap Frog is a moving cache race for December 2011 and January 2012

http://www.cachinggames.com/leapfrog/

Please move it as far as you can within 2 days and hide it safely to avoid muggle trouble, but not so well that geocachers can't find it quickly...

Please log it when you grab it and drop it as quickly as possible to avoid those annoying DNFs and to keep things rolling smoothly - thanks!

Please add a hint to your placed log to help if necessary.

Leapfrog game rules (extract):

Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)

There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between

If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the same cacher may move your cache (within the country or to another country) without breaking the "2 moves" rule

There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days

Dropped in to check on these three. There aren't too many places where they could be hidden so checked the two locations I found, using my LED Lenser car key torch to lighten the nooks & crannies but to no avail. A heavy downpour may have washed them out as suggested by the previous log.

I was headed home after a week roaming the countryside and called in here on the off chance I would find a moveable. There were quite a number partying here together. I picked up six little travellers and will move them on. This was one of them.

2.5 years since it was found...and with the work that has gone on in the garden where the cache was, I about to give it way as MIA. However, I had one last look at an area that sort of matched he hint...and there it was......almost completely buried in the new chip-bark. Cache was covered with mud and the items on the lid were actually inside the cache....but that's ok....they were there.

Have taken the cache and will relocate in the next week or so when I get home.

Thanks 80 degrees....glad I found it.

Found this after a bit of a search - had to read the clue and found it about 4 metres away from where my GPSr was pointing me.

Nicely hidden though.

Oh where, oh where were you two little guys when I looked for you back in June last year Shocked? Never mind, you're both safe and secure in a very pleasant little bit of urban parkland now and a nice, easy find at 19:55 while on the way to my weekly bowelling nearby Wink.

It's such a nice spot in fact, that I left them where I found them for others to enjoy Very Happy.

TNLNSL. Thanks and Happy New Year 80degrees Very Happy.

Sadly did not find this cache yesterday with 4 (count them F.O.U.R) geoniors in tow. We did a pretty thorough search although grass is mighty long in places. I will watch too and have another look if someone else is succesful. Nice walk along the Gardiner's Creek trail though.

Hmmm, I had a relatively quick look for this one before the 2012 Melburn Roubaix 'Hell of the Northcote' run up to Brunswick. The clue was pretty specific and matched where the O3 was pointing but alas, no smiley for me Crying or Very sad. I'll watch and if found "I'll be back" Wink.

Thanks 80s Very Happy.

Another log that I'm sure I had added a hint. Sorry Richary for the wasted search. Hint added now

No luck for me while down from Sydney for the day, there are quite a few hiding possibilities around here and without a hint and limited time no success for me unfortunately. Hopefully the twins are still there.

Hidden by Facitman and e-facit at 22:52
Out on a frog hunt and as this is a very suitable frog hide we dropped the twins for another cacher to find.

18-Dec-11
Found by Facitman at 22:30
I hadn't planned on frog hunting tonight but as I drove to pick up e-facit from a party she texted a last minute plea for an extension, so what could I do with a spare 15 minutes? Well, find a frog! I had no GPSr so a quick look on Google maps and I was fairly sure I had a small enough search zone for this frog. Arrived at GZ and commenced my search with a key ring torch, really not the ideal way to find a cache, but after a poke around the cache surfaced and we were quickly away.
Will hide it again in the next few days
Thanks 80degrees

I was in the area today and decided to log this one. As I'm quite busy at the moment, I decided to leave the cache in place for the next finder to move along. Thanks. RibbitRibbitRibbitRibbitRibbitRibbit

The Sistema Twins were safely captured and frog-marched to their new hiding place. They grumbled about the somewhat unattractive location but muggles get wandering by the other places I wanted to use. Should be an easy find, but careful extracting it in case the twins try to escape again.

Second successful Leapfrog grab tonight (the previous one - Daphne - seemed off-target) and I believe this is probably my first proper night find too Smile Went to the wrong end of the barrier at first as it seemed the more likely spot, but checking the GPS again I realised my error and soon had the twins in hand. Alas the glue attaching them peeled off the paint so I've done my best reattaching them with the only decent glue I had (a contact adhesive type meant for leather shoes/soles but it seems to be working OK) Will relocate somewhere soon

These little frogs wanted to stop here and watch the traffic.

*FTF* @ 10:35 pm.

Yet again I was out looking for frogs in the dark and, yet again my head torch was playing up when I needed it Mad . This time I stopped in between caches to change the batteries and, guess what? I didn't even need to use it Doh . These twins were easy to find with a good clue.

Cheer 80degrees thanks for the Frog.
