Description

A Munzee Cache place for ZEAMMAFF... with a twist!

Six and Out!

A GCA Traditional / Munzee Hybrid Cache

(PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE DICE GAME PIECE FROM THE CACHE!)

Released for the ZEAMMAFF Event on January 3rd 2012, this cache can be done as a normal GCA trad, as a Puzzle Munzee, or both depending on the hunter :D

To Log as a GCA Trad:  No Worries! Simply rock up to GZ, check the arrow, the hint if you need it and sign the log book, no different to a normal cache. Please note that despite the size, there is NO ROOM for swaps. I recommend the awesome GA Cacher App by Mtrax for all your GCA hunting needs!

To Capture as a Munzee: If you havent played Munzee before, you may want to start with an easier one ;) Check the game out at www.munzee.com and download the free "Munzee" app from your iPhone or Android App Store to sign up if you havent already. From there you will have to figure out which one is the True Munzee! Use your phone to scan each code until you find it!

(The others are useful websites, but wont get you points hehehe!)

(PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE DICE GAME PIECE FROM THE CACHE! ...and carefully pack it all away again when you are done thanks!)

-= There is a GCA FTF Pathtag as the Prize for the Quickest Person there!=-

This was another former DNF that I returned to after about 5 years. Watch out for the bindis! The area is also slippery when wet.

Seeing that I was planning to be in the Meadowbank/Rhodes area today, I did a quick check on GA and found this unloved cache. Having unsuccessfully looked for another unloved GA cache in the area recently, I wasn't too hopeful. Parking on the other side of the bridge near the archery, it was a nice stroll to GZ. Spent a bit of time looking in the wrong area but came back to something I noticed earlier. Got some interesting looks from an older couple that were walking past but I just greeted them with a nice "hello" and they kept on going. Aha - then I spotted what I had been looking for and bingo! Very excited to make the find but a bit deflated as the Munzee app really doesn't like SOP. I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Tried reinstalling, powering off but every time it loads the map it crashes (even happened from at home just now when navigating to SOP). The weird thing is that it worked fine for the Archery Centre virtual - go figure.

Last time I came through here the area was busy so I decided against trying for it but today however, it was very quiet allowing me time for a proper search. It was in the area I expected it to be but I still had to search around a bit. Thanks

Found this one the GPSr wanted me to walk along the mangroves but I couldn't find a likely spot so as I was walking back to the track and just about to give up I spotted something unusual and first I got Jeremiah guarding Six and Out. Thanks Zalgariath for this cache. I put in a new piece of paper in a new ziplock bag as the other was too wet to write on

Good to go again.

I came ready to archive this one, but lo and behold, it is still there and despite a little wet all ready to be found where it should be! Couldn't do much for the log today sadly. Will need a new one.

20-Apr-15
Time to check... i think this one is now in he controlled Geocaching Zone at SOP so I may have to archive it instead Sad

It's either pretty well hidden or missing. TFTC.

Find #27 - Found on 20/03/13 1:18 PM
Interesting shipwrecks, no problems locating cache and munzee scanned first go! Thanks. TNSLLN

23-Sep-12
Found myself out with the family this morning on a bike-ride at Bi-centennial Park. So, decided to get back onto GCA and see if there were any new traditionals sinse my last visit. Thanks to Zalgariath, there were!

Found this one with the kids, as we stopped to look at the ship-wrecks. Couldn't do the Munzee thing, but that's probably cause I don't have the correct app!

TFTC, Z!

Very interesting part of the park! Another slightly biased log for bao bao and one of his creative Munzee caches. Took me many scans to get the right Munzee and that was with Zal's help Evil or Very Mad Fun idea from my boy.

Back on! Sorry for the D/T change but the old GZ was not safe so a new one had to be found and it is a bit easier now Wink

25-Aug-12
I checked the old GZ and couldnt find anything either. Probably kids playing on the wreck Crying or Very sad However, the cache has been rebuilt, the Munzee Remade, and all of it re-hidden not too far away. Please note the Munzee only fits back in certain ways, please dont force it.

Cache on! ..and good luck Razz

Seems to be an issue here... will check ASAP.

Not found, was here at dawn & it seemed to be high tide, looked at other options at hiding the cache but unable to find. In the end it was a cool morning with layers of clothing, I just didn’t want to go for a walk in knee + high water AnxiousThink .

May have been looking in the wrong spot and lots of muggles prevented a thorough search. I will return.

21-Jan-12
A nice easy find today on the way down to the other side of the park for some moveables. I seem to remember there used to be a small cache somewhere here years ago.

Had to go down to the end and reboot the iPhone to persuade it to connect to the munzee server and got the right one 2nd go. Thanks Zalgariath.

Finally! Team Lego Men and I had often discussed how to hide a decent cache in this top spot and never got a solution so it's really great to see Zal do it for us so we can log a find Very Happy It was quite a highish tide today so I had a little paddle and then retrieved the cache easily and signed the log.

I had a good study of the munzee and if my super-electonic brain can manage to remember the details, I'll draw it back at home and see if I can scan it Laughing

Thanks Zal, I really enjoyed this today. I had thought to save it for an emergency day when i was a bit down and needed the smell of mangroves to cheer me up but it was such a lovely morning I couldn't resist getting it right away after I'd hidden a few froggies in the area.

Found at the fabulous ZEAMMAFF Event! at Concord West, NSW!
RibbitI'm a Gnome, duh!
Lots and lots and lots of Leapfrogs and gnomes in attendance! It turned out to be a great day for all Leapfrog and Gnome lovers, a great event with great people attending, we all had a ball.

This one was a bit of a challenge as the co-ords had been changed while we went looking with pjmpjm. After a PAF to the CO we got the correct location and the cache was soon in hand.
I'm a Laaaaaaaady, duh!Ribbit
Thanks to Zal for making it all happen!

I rode out here during the event. I knew this spot well as I'd been here before. It's a great location. Found the cache, love the hide. Even got to play Munzee, one of the few that worked for me.

03-Jan-12
A nice quick find after the nearby event. An intersting site for the boys to enjoy.

Found together with rogerw3 once we got the coordinates right!

And this was a great place for historical reasons. I'd already photographed it before I knew a GCA (and Munzee!) was hidden there . . .

All was in good order, nice and dry. TNLNSL.

And joint FTF! Woo hoo!

Many thanks to Zal for all the new caches and Munzees!
