Description
Vasse Wonnerup possum night walk
This cache gets most of its visits once the sun goes down and is found in a place where new life has begun. In addition to supporting birds, the Vasse Wonnerup Wetlands are also home for a number of marsupials, including both the ringtail and brushtail possums. The Western Ringtail Possum is listed as a vulnerable species and is found mostly in the south west of WA, with a strong population here in Busselton due to the high number of the possum's preferred peppermint trees.

Logs
We enjoyed our visit to the Vasse Wonnerup Wetlands even though it was mid morning. We were surprised to see the extent of the spread of the arum lilies through the wetlands. We went to the published coordinates and looked around until we identified two possible hiding spots that matched the hint. We headed to the nearest, 8m NE and were delighted to spot the container. Our poking around had disturbed the mosquitoes that descended in squadrons. We quickly signed the log, replaced the log and put the container back, covering it with bark.
Thanks for the cache SWCatchments and for showing us this special place. The cache container and contents were in good condition.

We took a while to find this cache as the hint is no longer relevant anymore after those storms as the stump now does not have any live stuff apart from weeds as a tree has fallen over into it. The cache was eventually found in the part of the stump under the fallen tree more on the north east side of the stump. It also seems that the coordinates were out a bit but as we only had the tablet couldn't take a better reading.
Thank SWCatchments for the cache.

Took a while to find this cache as the hint is no longer accurate. Stump only has a fallen tree over it now. Cache is on the northeast side of stump under part of the fallen tree.

Grrrrrrrr.
Another failed attempt. Am I really that useless?
Saw a great spot for a hide. A hole in the base of a tree, but it was empty.
Oh well, another time.

Lovely little walk. Hidden well, saw it when crouched down low, accessing it from west side.

Those pelican cases are expensive but geez, looks like it was placed yesterday with not a hint of moisture inside. Shame more people don't visit this great wetland and cache, it's a pretty awesome spot. Roos, swans and luckily no snakes on my explore this afternoon. Cheers from Sydney, all well here.

Woohoo! I was very pleased to find this one given the recent DNF log. I enjoyed the walk over to GZ, and there was plenty of roos to see along the way. At GZ I searched in quite a few spots before spotting the hide!
Thanks for the cache SWCatchments!

Like Moneybox, had old coords in GPSr. Have updated coords and will go back for another look. Checked coords, were correct after all but no cache.

Are you sure these coords are correct? Followed the GPS and ended up well over and beyond a fence and looking across to the other side of the swamp (as shown in the map) but figured that is probably not correct. I could be wrong...but not being a flying or wading bird I didn't want to venture any further. The walk was a km long, not what it says in the blurb. Then checked out all the tree trunks off the loop and didn't find it. Also crossed a creek but to no avail. Managed to get a bit disoriented and felt quite lost at one point. Thanx to Richlink who offered to come and find me if they hadn't heard from me in a week Eventually made my way back to the car. Please recheck this one.
