Description

Peel Ramsar Project

Nestled amongst the paperbark trees this cache enjoys glimpes of the special Peel-Yalgorup Wetland System. This system is a Ramsar-listed wetland of international significance. Covering approximately 26,000ha, this wetland system provides significant habitat for a vast array of migratory waterbirds. Located near the boat ramp there's plenty of muggles around so stealth will be required, oh and don't forget your mozzie spray!

Despite this cache being the closest to my home gz, I haven't been looking for GA caches. I had logged some moveable caches, but not a fixed one like this. So today was the day. I wandered down the hill with geoson in tow, grumbling all the way. Then it was him who found the cache, in a spot I had already looked. DOH!!
But am happy to have found my smiley. Thanks Lauren

I was able to come down to Mandurah today for a very enjoyable day of caching, and after lunch I decided to drive along the estuary for a change of pace.

This was a quick and easy find, and I was happy to find the cache in the first place I checked.

A nice location, thanks for the cache Lauren!

Very well hidden and a very nice container too. There were signs of recent flooding but the contents were dry and in good condition. TFTH

The hint sure was needed to find this one. Signs of a recent flooding around here, probably the recent rains, so I hope this nifty container doesn't get to float away. Thanks for the hunt Lauren.

Congrats on your find wileyclan. The containers are great aren't they.
We purchased them from the online store www.geostuff.com.au they've got a great range of geocaching stuff!

After a Did Not Find on the GC cache nearby, I hit 'Find Next Closest' on my GPSr and saw that there was a cache only 30m from where I had parked the car.

I squelched into the area and soon spotted something that fitted the hint. A twist of the head here and a plastic glint caught my eye. Soon after that I was signing my name as second to find

Thanks for the cache Lauren, where did you get the container? I need one of those...

Cheers Cool

GPS wouldn't play ball under the vegetation but the hint made it an easy find.

Thanks for the cache.
