Description
Under a small prickly bush
Under a low branch in scrub. (Aussie slang) on the ground. Could be a penguin run. (Track they uses to waddle up to a nest on the hill). You will be looking at Godfreys Beach with the rock formation known as The Nut a geographical landform rising 143 metres mostly surronded by sea. A monolith of a volcanic plug. Stanley a small fishing village with much early Tasmanian history. Could be windy anytime of the year. Well it is windy I reckon 360 days a year.

Easy find. Cache in good condition. It hasn't been logged since 2013...WOW. TFTC Tassyexplorer.

While staying at Stanley in the Geovan we had this and several other caches on our to do list.
We stayed under the rock at Stanley but this stretch of beach is a much nicer spot to camp. Will stay here next time we are in Stanley. Plenty of vans and campers enjoying the area but all away from GZ so made a quick find. TFTC

This cache has been temporary disabled for over 90 days, so we will be archiving it to de-clutter the database.

Another nice, easy find in this great little town. Would be a great spot to spend a night, especially when the weather is as good as it has been today. We took a digital measurer and left a car. Many thanks for bringing us here.
Bumped yet again into RVgeos as they were camping very nearby and we did this cache together. Very kindly Mr RV scrambled down and groped out the cache which we both then signed. A lovely grassy stretch down here by the beach and a lovely place for free camping. Thanks for the hunt Tassyexplorer.

Very useful to know that we could camp here for one night. It was quite windy on the beach but a lot more sheltered behind the sand bank. When we arrived there was a caravan parked-- wouldn't you know it-- RIGHT in front of GZ. Grrr. So we went away and collected some other caches, taking in the lovely views of Stanley. Came back and set up our tent. Campers still there. We went and ate dinner in the cafe above Hursey Seafoods on the wharf. Best fish and chips we have ever eaten.
The following morning the caravan was still there and it was looking like we wouldn't get a chance to search for the cache, however just as we'd finished packing up our tent I noticed that the muggles had gone!! The coast was clear!! I drove the car right up beside the bush to provide some cover from muggles. Due to the previous log we thought we were in for a long and difficult search, but found the cache surprisingly quickly-- mostly because my partner happened to stand in exactly the right spot to catch a glint of light off the container.
A nice spot, thanks for the cache!

On arrival we thought that there were few possible hiding spots. However, after 30 minutes of fruitless searching, we were starting to think that our assesment was way off. One last effort before we retired and, there it was. It was about 5m from where our GPS said GZ should ge but it was within the error margin of our GPS. Quite a strong easterly blowing onto Godfrey's Beach today. Great views from here. TFTC Tassyexplorer
WOO HOO a FTF. This was our first day back on the hunt for a while. Had to question why were were geocachers after the frog hunt. Seemed to us it was all about numbers but hey we are all different and good luck to the number crunchers. Anyway top location and it was a top day. TFTC
