Bit of a hair raising walk up the hill - certainly not one for kids, and maybe not even the dog. What a fanastic view though - and a great challenge.
Thanks for this one.

Great views from GZ. I bet this place is fairly buzzing in holiday season...but quiet and peaceful today. I wouldn't want to be driving a forestry truck up these tracks...I'm sure it would feel like the vehicle would summersault backwards down the hill

Today is Easter Saturday and this location is certainly a very popular camping spot over the Easter holiday period. There were at least 20 different camp sites spread out over an extensive area and occupied by people of all ages. There appeared to be a gender difference in the activities of the campers. The females were generally sitting around noisily gossiping and singing. The males were doing blokey things, in particular riding quad bikes and dirt bikes through the camp grounds and up the very steep tracks in the tree plantations on the other side of the road. Given that they were next to the river, some may have been fishing but we didn't enter the camping area and so, cannot confirm this. The campers seemed to be engrossed in their activities and did not notice us using our GPS to locate GZ. From the cache description we thought that we had to walk to the top of the hill, a very steep climb. Thankfully we only had to go about a third of the way up the hill and that was strenuous enough. However, this climb gave us an outstanding view of the campgrounds and river. We wondered what the view would be like from the top but, the thought of good views did not entice us to complete the climb today. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. TFTC Tassyexplorer
Hi Tassyexplorer
Thank you for taking me to an area to which I'd never been before.
Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the find.
Signed the log at 1432hrs.
A perfect cache except for the young kid buzzing the area on a motor-bike. Other campers were most annoyed at the youngn's performance.
Never-the-less, a great cache and excellent views.
TFTC and cheers;

Easy find with top views. Had been fire fighting all around here several yrs ago...quite hard terrain but many tracks. Did a lot of mapping of the surrounding plantations too....almost 40 yrs ago....how time flies. Many thanks Tassyexplorer for the return visit which I was thoroughly enjoying...cheers.
