Couldn't find this cache today

Dug for awhile but no luck,

I would recommend the CO does a check of this cache as it hasn't been discovered since 2018 and may have been permanently buried,

Thanks for the cache maintenance

It rained and it rained and it rained. The bush walkers heading downhill in their fancy raincoats must have thought I was weird to be walking uphill with no rain cover at all. Anyway, I got to the general idea of GZ and the satellites just gave up and left me to my own device, which wasn't much use without signal. So I wandered about and gradually pieced together the hints and logs until I finally read what I need end to know. The log was unwritable, most just paper mâché waiting for the artist to mould it into something stylish. I replaced it with some water proof "stone" paper which is mostly plastic. Anyway, it won't go soggy. I was very happy to make this find as I haven't done nearly as meany GCAs as I would have liked for ages. Great location, have 5 thumbs up.

The cache is soaking wet inside, and the log book is saturated.

This one may need to be re-hidden a bit higher to avoid flooding in the future.

We set off for this cache via Roclin Loop Track, and branched off onto a rickety goat track that seemed to be the most direct route to the cache. This choice certainly was the shortest distance, but the condition of the track was terrible, and made for slow going. We returned to the car by the slightly longer Seventh Falls Trail, which actually took less time to walk.

Finding the cache took a little bit longer than it should have, despite being right next to it for a while. It had just enough bark covering it to make it really well concealed. Unfortunately the insides of the cache are completely waterlogged, and the log book is un-usable in it's current condition. I imagine this cache would have been completely submerged during the floods we had a couple of months ago, and it just hasn't stood up to it.

All up we really enjoyed our walk to this cache, but probably should have left the find until next month when the Summer Scavenger Series gets under way. At least we had a nice cool day for the walk today.

Thanks Mattycat.

I came in via the Owl Mail series of letterbox caches, quite a pleasant walk. Found the cache and the nearby waterfall (though it wasn't falling today)..

TNLN - Thanks Mattycat!

Found It!
Quite an adventure hiking down to this one from chillibutt's hidden dog cache! Quick find once I got to GZ though. Then back up the hill to the car...

Having seen a 5 foot brown snake on the road about 500m from GZ it was a very cautious walk to GZ for me. A lovely cool spot on a 34'C day though Very Happy
Cheers & TFTC

Came in from above and followed the water down. And mud. And water. And mud.
The cache was exposed so made for an easy find.

Well, finally found a cache without a million before us ! We headed off very excited thinking this could actually be a FTF. But alas, someone found it yesterday (but didnt add a log on here - boo Shame on you ), thus we were 2nd. Amazing really seeing as the GPS cut out and we had to search by hint and memory alone. Sooo excited to make the find, swapped a butterfly for a colouring sheet. Was certainly my fitness for the day to work all those Easter Eggs off from last weekend. Lovely walk in a lovely park. Very Happy
