Description
This cache is part of the I've Cached Everywhere, Man (ICEM) project, the largest cache series in Australia
It is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack.
Tassie gets its own verse thanks to Hookline:
GCA Verse 6 by hookline
I've cached in Ulverstone, Dulverton, Smithton, Burnie,
Queenstown, George Town, Campbell Town, Swansea
Lilydale, Scottsdale, Berriedale, Bicheno
Rosebury, Fentonbury, Dodges Ferry, Jericho
Cockle Creek, Lake Leake, Sisters Creek, Winnaleah
Wayatinah, Poatina, Tulendeena... yeah, I've cached there!
The focus of this cache is Lake Leake which is the name of both a lake and a small township in the eastern midlands of Tasmania. The lake was named after Charles Henry Leake a member of the Tasmanian Legislative Council. At the 2006 census, Lake Leake had a population of 176. Lake Leake is a highly valued recreational area used by many Tasmanians and visitors for camping and recreational fishing for brook trout, brown trout and rainbow trout. The village is built on land owned by the Northern Midlands Council. Inhabitants must purchase a license to have a building and they are restricted in the number of days per year they can live there. The main purpose is to accommodate recreational anglers.
The lake was constructed after a long debate. A five metre high dam was finished in 1884. The initial area of the lake was 6 km2. In 1971 the spillway highest point was raised by 18cm to increase storage capacity. Water is released for irrigation and also stored to maintain a fishing facility. Lake Leake has always been at least half full.
This cache is located in a lightly bushed area at a T-junction just before entereing the Lake Leake reserve area. There are too many muggles in the camping and residential area to place a cache there. After you find the cache do go the short extra distance (about 500m) to enjoy in the beauty of the area.
The cache is now a 400ml Sistema hidden 315m from the old cache site.

After completing the Ready Aim Fire series we decided to grab a couple of gca caches while in the swansea area before heading home via Lake Leake,
we detoured into this one where a quick find was made with accurate coordinates. it was good to get the previous DNF off my back for this one. TFTC
Cheers,
The Hancock Clan
Please note the changed coordinates and new cache size.
Thanks to DEZ055 for alerting us to the demise of the previous box
The weather was NOTHING like the featured photo but we still enjoyed the visit.
The hunt for plastic was too much to bear, so a long trip to the east coast to grab a couple of caches was the order for today.
The only problem with the weather was a forecast of 23 degrees, so quite warm for longish walks.
Set the alarm for an early start, leaving home just after 6am.
Once again, as soon as my hat and boots were on, Murder(the younger of the two canine family....4 yo) was getting pretty excited and ready to make a beeline for the door in readiness for any walks or geofourby trips that might be on offer.
My eldest canine...Sirius...is now too old(16y 10m) to leave the comfort of his bed in front of the wood heater...which has an electric blanket of course(which he just loves and is great for his arthritis), though with the current summer weather it is hardly needed.
Having walked 100's of km's with me geocaching over the years up numerous mountains, bush walking along many trails plus along vast stretches of beaches etc while geocaching, he has certainly earned his rest..an amazing companion who never gave up no matter how hard it got for him...a truly remarkeable and treasured companion.
The first GCA cache on our travels, "The Royal George coach" was along the Old Coach Road running between Avoca and Apslawn on the east coast, which is a lovely drive.
Nearing gz a suitable parking spot was found and after a short search, a well hidden cache was found. The cache and contents are all good. Many thanks for the cache nutwood33 and for placing and maintaining the cache for us all to enjoy. A nice drive through this neck of the woods and a road I haven't travelled for many years.
The next cache was a trig beacon...."Long Point ST203" up along the east coast near Seymour. The beacon is almost obscured by trees, but the vanes can be clearly seen from the road side. A nice drive in another place I've never been.
After finding a few other GC caches it was time to head for home and on the way find the cache "ICEM Verse 6 - Lake Leake".
A short drive off the main road and we were soon at gz where the cache was soon found. The cache and contents are in top nick.
Many thanks 2y'stassies for placing and maintaining the cache for us all to enjoy...cheers ST.
Today was a very mixed day of caching after finding the only three caches I had planned on finding I just ended up driving around not really knowing where I would be next but I did end up on the Lake Leake Hwy.
As I was driving past I noticed your cache come up on the GPS so I just had to make a quick detour and find it.
It was a very easy find but had to make sure the muggle cutting wood nearby wasn't watching.

It has taken us quite a long time to return and look again for this cache, but today was the day. A nice quick and easy find was much appreciated as it was cold at GZ. We really like this series and were pleased to tick another one off the list. Thanks for the cache and the series.
Found without GPSr butn the cache is located on the other side of a big white barrier gate. Signs on the tree indicate surveillance and private property. TNLN.
Found on my 10th day of the 1st Anniversary trip to Adelaide.
Thanks for the cache!
The new 4WD handled the roads with ease and as the sun set over the lake I enjoyed a nice break before the long drive home.
Thanks budgietas.
After a great day at the event yesterday, Anne and I stayed in Campbell Town again last night and I woke early this morning to the beat of rain pounding on the roof.
Couldn't get back to sleep so an early morning drive took place.
Arrived at GZ, found and logged the cache round 0630hrs this morning.
Have fished this lake on many occasions and taken a few speckled furies [trout] from its waters.
The "pet" wombat at the pub was ooooh so cute when he was a real young'n. It would come and nudge your leg waiting for a pat.
TFTC and cheers
Oldsaint.
