Description
We have placed this cache in a location that we love. The cache is placed in a spot that will offer you great views of a most beautiful and untouched area. Our first visits to the Lake were made with 4x4 on a pack horse track that left from the old stockyards on the Cradle Mountain national park turn off. This track was just mud and rock and took almost 4 hours each way. The track was originally used to take cattle to and from the Vale of Belvoir as well as being part of the VDL co road system. The old track to the lake went straight down the middle of the Vale. The now gravel road to the lake is just a scar on the landscape or so we think. Take your camera with you and if you like take a rod as there are some nice trout in Lake Lea. Just be mindful the trout have a mind of their own so it may be advisable to take a steak for the BBQ unless you are a stealthy fisher.

Thanks for the hide Landy_clan.
We had a good time exploring areas that we wouldn’t have normally seen if not for caching.
Been past here before I knew about caching so was familiar with the road in.
After pulling up and walking up here in the rain cache was quickly found tuck away dry in its hiding spot.
Signed the log and rehide. Walking back to the car the rain stopped.

Cheers,

This cache will be a-waitin',
Up the rocks,
Just a hop,
And the views - a breath-takin'
Thanks for the excuse to find a bit of magic again !
We had never known of this location, and at 4c and with snow in the ground still, it was just the tonic.

I love it around here.
I have never been up this road before, will come back to explore the Lake Lea area some more.
Thanks so much for the cache, it was an excellent diversion!
