Description
A small cache in the bush with a few pathtag swaps.
This cache is placed near the Pontoon at Dunethin Lake. It's a lovely little spot to drop a canoe in the water for a paddle as it is on the Maroochy River Canoe trail. There is a Scout Camp across the road. It is run by Nambour District Scouts and has campsites available to hire for the general public. A boat ramp is located a short distance down the road. There are two other caches and a Munzee nearby.
Congratulations go to jasenjanine on being the First To Find!

us3scouts I found your cache Dunethin Lake Pontoon on 9 Oct 2023 at 12:40 pm. This is my find 119 and find # 6 today. Found it after a brief search with the help of the hint. All good with the cache. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After finding your nearby GC cache we made our way to these coordinates. Unfortunately all we found here was the wire tether attached to the tree.
God co ordinates. Quick find. This one has not been found for awhile so time to pay a visit. I llove gca hides and wish more f us would combine the two . TFTC us3scouts
Was at Dunethin Rock for a working bee, us3scouts showed me this new site and what better way to start than to pick up this as my first find on geocaching Australia. Thanks us3scouts! Nice container too
Headed out to find this cache after lunch at the CITO Event with some friends who had already found this one.
The cache was in the first place I looked but not close enough.

Haven't been down here before, so while heading past we took the time to have a look...and grabbed cache as well. Took note of the previous log and took a very short walk from the road and soon had the cache in hand. Cache is sitting in position and is good shape.
Thanks us3scouts for showing me the area.

After wandering along from the jetty to this cache we discovered that it probably would have been easier to approach from the road. Love these containers. We hadn't seen them before today. This one seems to be missing its o-ring but cache was dry inside. Back to the jetty to watch the sun go down before finishing our caching for the day. Thanks us3scouts.

Yeah. Can cross this one off. Have looked at this hide before but not hard enough. Many thanks to the CO. Boy did we look silly. This really is a great part of the coast for caching and exploring. TFTC

A quick and easy find today. Thanks for taking me back there.
The container had a bit of water in it as the rubber 'O' ring was missing. I found it on the ground broken but replaced it on the container before I left.

Found 10.15am
Parked up close by and started searching, it took some time to find as my GPRs would not settle. Nice to find a good sized container.
Took 3 pathtags
Left 3 pathways
Thanks for placing a GCA cache here.

Our second find. Thanks to our friends Kawianna for getting us interested enough to go out & buy the hand held GPS.Now instead of just going for a drive to some where we go hunting.

Hooray … we found it .
We decided to call in and check out this new GCA listing on our way back from Noosa today . As we had it on the watchlist, we noticed that Green Team 2 couldn't find it , i hope the co-ords are ok … we thought
We arrived at the car park from the Bli Bli side this time, and were happy to find no one about . We plugged the co-ords into the garmin, and set off on our hunt. The arrow took us into to the bush where the GPS'r promptly lost track of the satellites . I kept walking in the direction that the arrow was suggesting, and approximately the distance that was locked on the screen. As i got close to where i thought i need to be, the GPS'r came to life again, and said i was only a few meters away . I had a quick check in the nearest tree, and to my surprise … found a cache .
What a great container, we haven't seen these before … it looks very robust. I took the *FTF* pathtag, signed the log, and replaced it where i found it.
Now to track down that munzee
Thanks us3scouts for this little treasure, it has been a while since we found a GCA cache … this is only our 14th

Had a good look in the rain but no luck for us. Added a zero to missing co-ord which put us amongst trees down a drain. Will keep an eye on this one.
