This was spotted years ago, on an outback trip to Kilcowra Station in Qld. The toilets were very basic back then. This one had a curtain - you had to sing or talk loudly!!!

Uniting Church - Kialla, NSW
An old church deserves an old dunny. This one is being undermined by rabbits & lacks plumbing for the hand basin or, perhaps it's the urinal. If you need to visit for a Number Two remember to bring a hammer at least as the door has been nailed shut. Fortunately for the parishioners the only service is on the 5th Sunday of the month so they have plenty of time to think about their needs.

And I could also point out to them this very useful dunny!

Hi Doodle Bug Oz
Went caching in the Central Highlands, Tasmania yesterday - the weather: wet, windy and very, very cold.
Had just finished doing the cache GC51DBE 'On the Way to the "CPCA"' and noticed this Dinkem Dunny only a few metres from the cache.
I wondered if the CO of the above mentioned cache had put it there for those cachers unable to find his cache, or;
If it had been put there to enjoy the 360 degree panorama whilst busy!
For what-ever purpose, sometimes it's just too cold here to just sit and enjoy no matter what your doing.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

A Family Loo located in the Pioneer Museum Park in Kangaroo Valley. It has Mum & Dad seats, a redback detection system & a redback so the overseas tourists especially know what to look out for. I used a tripod & exposure delay to get a picture of myself ready to make use of the facility. Ahhhhhhh.

An outhouse at the back of St. David's Anglican Church near Burrawang. It has a cement base & a Bakelite seat. There is a light but it is outside so bring a lantern I guess. Doesn't get much use as the church only has a service once a month. Fireweed in need of suppression, spiders aplenty.

Old Church Dunny
Behind Leura Mall
Leura, NSW
Found this one by accident, while ducking down an alley behind what used to be a church . . . now a fancy shop. Guess it's a hold-over from the old days. An event was taking place and there were people around, so I didn't mosey over to have a look . . . and perhaps try it out.
Seems to be in good condition!

Spotted this one in Invercargill in New Zealand while touring around after the Mega Event. It's actual in a junk yard and no longer used for it's intended purpose....as you can guess by the skeleton hanging in it.
Hope it's ok and gives people a laugh.

A great outdoor dunny in a wild location west of Invercargill. It could be a very quick dash out here on a dark winter's night! TFTC.
Went for a walk in Wireless Hill Park to look for native orchids.
While there, checked out the buildings whick have a fascinating history (see below). As these were built long before deep sewerage reached the area an outbuilding was required to serve the personal needs of the personel. It's a very impressive 2 holer with the nightmans' back door bricked in but still visible.
Wireless Communication comes to Western Australia
In 1912 the facilities at Wireless Hill enabled wireless communication to be carried out for the very first time between the east and west coasts of Australia, between the mainland of Australia and ships that were up to 1,600km away in the Indian and Southern Oceans, and between Australia and the rest of the world.
In order to transport the German-designed wireless antennae from the Swan River to Wireless Hill, the first bitumen road was built in Western Australia. The remnants of this road can be seen from the Heritage Walk in the park.
The Park played a significant role in the security and defence of the Australian coastline from 1912 through to 1968. During World War I, the Applecross Wireless Station received an emergency signal from the Cocos Islands giving the position of the German light cruiser, SMS Emden. The station relayed the information to the HMAS Sydney, which was escorting a troop convoy close to the Cocos Islands. The Sydney gave chase and captured the Emden in one of Australia’s most famous sea battles of the First World War.
Wireless Hill station was officially decommissioned in 1967. It was vested in the City of Melville in August 1969 for the purposes of developing it as an urban bushland reserve, and was named Wireless Hill Park in February 1971. A community radio station - 101.7 Capital Radio - broadcasts from the old buildings

This outhouse is located at the rear of the property behind the Nanango Scout Den. I can remember that the scouts used to take a torch with them when they had to go as the light nearly always did not work as it was an outside light and subject to the odd rock or two. Since girls joined the ranks and inside toilet has now been provided. TFTC

This outhouse is located in the grounds of the Yarraman Qld Pistol club which is located on the New england Highway approximately 4Klm South of Yarraman.
The club used to meet on a regular basis but I do not think it has been used in ages. The building still has the old wooden seat with the night soil bin and the rear door to remove the bin.

I discovered this dinkem dunny at the Woodvine Nature Reserve near Forcett. I think the bicycle must have been there for some time too...
im not sure if an outdoor dunny in Vietnam is acceptable for a GA locationless. I will leave it to the cache owner to delete my log if its not.
Back in November 2010 I took up a challenge with 14 other Australians to trek 73km though the far northern region of Vietnam to raise 50k for the rescue of Moon Bears. Our trek was challenging to say the least and not all of us made the distance due to illness or lack of preparation etc. Most of the time we used the toilet as a group as it was safer to stay together. We had an armed guard with us the whole time but when we came across this dunny we all used it as over the 6 days it was the only one that had walls. I was one of the lucky ones that never got gastro but then I couldn't bring myself to eat dog or some of the other things we were given. An amazingly unforgettable like changing experience and so was the dunny.

We were on a bushwalk a little while back(or should I say a cache walk) along the Wilmot River, and went by this outdoor toilet. Very open and exposed! Nevertheless, Red Tag took a suitable pose but we opted to keep that photo out of public view! Thanks for the cache.
Found this old dunny at the rear of a National Trust property in Churchlands W.A (there is actually a GC cache inside the bucket flap at the back )
We were looking for some caches in the Fruit Run Power Trail when we came across a dunny about halfway between Cottonvale and Dalveen. It was even labelled as a dunny with a sign stating "Next Dunny 500km". The dunnt was fully equipped but we didn't lift the lid to see the state in the box. The photo added to the Gallery shows two images: the first shows the dunny with the sign on the door; the second shows the throne.

'Blue Hill Loo' Geocache
Blue Hill, ME
U. S. A.
One of the most 'Dinkem Dunnies' I've ever visited, even if it's located in the US, just south of the Canadian border. Nestled in the local woods about a mile from my brother's house, I visited here recently to log the geocache inside . . .
It's not your average dunny, though -- very up market!
Great idea for a geocache, too.

Hi Doodle Bug Oz
On tour in Victoria and we went to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat.
Busting to go and in too much of a hurry to look for proper facilities, I came across this beauty; which commemorates all outside "THUNDER BOXES"; and tried to enter!
However, as you can see, there is a pair of boots sticking out from beneath the door. I was stopped in my tracks!
Needless to say, I found another spot as quickly as possible.
They say "P" for relief don't they?
Guess if you were to visit this country "doer" today, the same bloke would still be there doing the same "job." Must be the longest case of "GASTRO" in the world.
A great idea; thanks for the "crappy" cache
Cheers OldSaint.
