Description
This is a moveable cache with a difference - only the DDTs get to move it. The cache will appear, disappear and reappear later somewhere else at our whim - hopefully to celebrate different events, caching or other wise. For today it is celebrating Christmas in July at The Springs. It will probably go home with us after this event,so don't search after the event has ended without checking for updates. You may log the suitcache as many times as you like, but only once at each location! UPDATE: This is now just a regular moveable cache that would like to see as much of the country as possible!

Thanks to Lazarus for dropping off this moveable & lots of others.
For the moment I will leave them at the front of my house in case someone is passing by and would like to grab one or more to move on.

Out collecting gca caches and got to a parking spot and with no phone coverage trekked in using the map and distance and soon found this cache. Thanks for the cache ddts

Moved close to a GA cache but on the other side of the brook
Grabbed whilst on a maintenance drive in the area , cache had approx 1 cup of water in, took along with me and dried out at morning tea time then rehid
I too found this cache while hunting a GC cache. Also left it where it was and also emptied out some water that had accumulated in the case. TFTC
I didn't have this cache loaded on my gps and found the container inadvertently while doing the TbroG series around Gigegannup. As I didn't have any details about the cache I just recorded my name and left it where it was. The lock doesn't seem to be working properly and the case had collected a bit of water after the recent heavy rains. Emptied the water, signed the log book (which is dry in a plastic bag) and moved on. Thanks DDTs
I've dropped this one off en route of a new popular series of GC caches. It's in a separate spot about 1-2m away from the GC cache. I took my own coordinate reading on my GPS, but the numbers have come out the same as the GC cache.
Safe travels!

I had a few hours free this afternoon for some caching and was excited to see some moveables hidden. I was very happy to see this one finally back out in the wild as I've tried to look for it before! I still had to look for this one for a long time despite its size!
Thanks for the cache DDTs, I'll try and get it back out in the wild very soon.

We have moved DDTs Travelling Suitcache to a lovely piece of "Bush for Ever". It is hidden at the base of a large Sheoak tree concealed by Sheoak needles.
Resting in the bush, 75m due south of a GC cache.
You're looking for a white plastic case.
Don't be too surprised if coords are little out.

Discovered the cache while at an impromptu meeting of a few fellow cachers. Quite a large movable cache.

Unfortunately I could not find this one either. If it was in the group of grass trees right by the path, near the intersection of the paths, next to the tree, then the area has been thoroughly searched, and there is no sign of this cache.
Had another look whilst I was passing by, but again no joy.

Great to see a first time GCA cacher on board! All you need to do is hide it, record the location and create a new log of type "Moved", making sure that you add the coordinates of the new hiding spot.
Dropped this big cache off after a long trip from Tassie. Nice container. Well done.
Suitcache zombified.
Quick find while visiting a nearby trig. Cache in good order, lots of swaps still available. Tnln.

Nice afternoon for a winter's day. Had to wait a few minutes for council litter collectors to move on then it was a short hike to GZ where I quickly spotted the hide. Log book a little damp but my pen was able to write on it ok. Soon be time for the trees at the lookout to be pruned otherwise it won't actually be a lookout. TFTC

Found by mrs sharnie's tribe after he wanted to give up. Could have had something to do with almost stepping on a blue tongue lizard that was sleeping on a rock! Hmmmm.... Loved the size of the cache container, very well stocked. TFTC and the heart starter for mr sharnie's tribe
This was in the location and covered as the hint mentioned. Quite a lot of items in the container. TFTC DDTs
Our ambition was greater than what we could achieve on this walk. This was partly brought about by the fact that the multicache took us on a circuit of Rosny Hill that we had already just walked. Those we didn't get can wait for another day.

Hi DDTs
After reading DnA!'s log on this cache and your comment re "Haunting Plastic"; I went to Rosny to find GC4E8JA "Was That You?" and had success on that cache; I decided that this cache needed another log for your effort.
Found it at 1040hrs and as then, now I wish you a belated HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thanks for this and all your caches. Always enjoy doing them.
TFTC and cheers

We noticed this was put out for the New Year event on Rosny Hill but no one had logged it. Intrigued, we decided to see if it was still there. We managed to locate the well hidden cache and discovered that it had not been logged during the event. Thanks DDTs for another excellent hide for our 3rd find on this moveable.
It's out there hoping for a big 2013 with lots of happy cachers passing by! And, it'ws full of 'haunting plastic', as requested by Old Saint! Happy New Year to all.
Hi DDTs
I love the concept of this cache and enjoyed being able to sign the log again today on the way to the "top" of Cathedral Rock. Looking forward to being able to sign it again in the future.

A nice easy find as the cache owners were present and assisted us. Thanks for the cache. And now it looks like it will be moved on
Ok, it's been in hibernation over winter, but it heard that there are likely to be some cachers out this way next weekend, so it's hopeful of being found.
Now that the International Day of Geocaching is over, the suitcache is about to pack up and leave this location (it doesn't feel very secuire here, so it's not hanging around. If you get there before we do you can still log it!
Found on International Geocaching Day! The bub and I were attending the event, and luckily a kind Tony came along with me as I wouldn't have been able to retrieve the cache as I had the boy strapped to my front. A great cache; I love the idea. People always like having a cache to duck out and find during an event.
Thank you for the cache - and help!

Found while attending International Geocaching Day. Thanks for bringing along. Quick find.

The cache has moved to celebrate International Geocaching Day. Any previous finders can refind at the new location. The cache will probably only stay here for about one day, as the hiding site is not that secure. Thanks JABs for organisng the nearby event.
What a great idea for a cache. Never knew this lookout was here. Clear view today. Sorry we missed the event - we were on babysitting duties. TFTC.

Hi DDTs
One should read the whole description before attempting a cache.
Noted that this was a moveable, so rang RebornCyclist to see if he had taken it with him after his find. He was kind enough to explain, that although a moveable cache, this can only be located elsewhere by the owners. How often I attack a cahce without reading the entire description - Derrrr! However, it does create some extra fun sometimes!!
Knowing the above, left Mum at the hospital and drove on up to ground zero.
Enjoyed my walk to the cache and found it very quickly. Signed the log at 1250hrs. Enjoyed the cache for various reasons: fun of the find, the great views and the fact that my "Christmas in July" was extended from the 28th of July to today. Thanks heaps.
Again, our thanks for your part in organising such a great event and for stopping to say "Hi" tonight.
TFTC and cheers;

I didn't really need the GPSr, but I took it anyway, and quickly found the cache quite close to where I had searched for one a couple of years ago.
With the cold weather, there wasn't anyone else around, but it also meant that the views from the lookout weren't as good as usual.
By the way, I've discovered 2y'stassies secret - time travel!
They signed both this and the Angel cache in 2010!!
Thanks for the cache.

Whilst we were at the superb "Christmas in July" last night, we didn't go looking for the two caches put out for the occasion. Instead we returned late this afternoon before leaving Hobart. As we approached GZ we saw the cache quite clearly from the path - the hint was not necessary to find this one. After signing the log we replaced the cache in the same location but with far better covering so that it is less likely to be see by passing muggles. This cache is certainly a very different type of moveable - an interesting concept. TFTC DDTs and for the great event last night.
Found in a large group at the Christmas in July event. Thanks for a fantastic evening of fun, laughter, food and caching
Thanks DDT's for organizing a fabulous event and then having the time and motivation for incorporating an additional traveling cache. We found this cache while on our way to the lookout, no that is not true, we found the lookout while finding this cache and that is the reason for geocaching been the discovery of special places. |
If mimicry is the best form of flattery then you will be pleased to know that we are thinking of something similar for our event.
We look forward to discovering this cache at many more events., thanks DDT's.

Found with a huge group after the meal at the event. Funny how I get blamed for opening the case upside down when it was one of Budgie's kids that was struggling to open it. I was only the table.
Well, maybe I did open it but it was the way it was handed to me.
I'll keep an eye out for this cache at the next event

We set off from the event following a group of cachers. Not one of us had a GPSr, but somehow the cache was magically located. TFTC
Found this cache with a large group at the Christmas in July event. A great cache that swampy manged to open upside down. I signed the log book for the group that included some Tasmanian caching legends including swampy and red tag. Thanks for the litte walk during the event. Many pictures were taken of the view at the look out.
What a great idea !! ... I think I will set myself a goal to log this suitcase every time its moved because knowing the DDT's I am certain each location will be awesome and if its an event then Im in for one of the best home cooked meals out there
Thanks guys for the cache and the awesome feed before we found it. We sure had a fun group that wandered off together tonight to find it and the view was terrific

Found as part of a group attending Christmas in July at the Springs tonight.
We had wonderful snowy weather for christmas & a nice walk to a cache just whetted our appetites for a great meal.
What a great idea for a cache, and what large amount of swag.
Geokid had returned to the hut so TNLN.

After some misdirection from geodad, we made a mad dash to this one in the hopes of getting a FTF, only to land a silver. Great cache, glad to nab it in its current location

I can't believe I got here first. I also can't believe I left my gloves in the car! Plus I didn't even know this lookout was here
