Description
The Three Sisters - part of the "Bull Fart" series.
The Three Sisters
Illowa’s answer to the Blue Mountains natural feature of the same name! This configuration has an obscure Irish allegory (Yes! Irish settled the area!), it apparently involves three sisters - (L to R) Bridget, Gertrude and Shelia BUT the story has become muddled and obscure over the past 2 millenniums.
To find the “Three Sisters” you have to go to the plantation at the side of the Rail Trail at:-
S38° 19.674’ E142° 24.322’ and take note of who planted the trees.
If transposing the letters A=1, B=2, C=3 ………………………..Y=25 and Z=26.
Then the coordinates for the “Three Sisters” are:-
S38° Å.ßÇ E142° Ð.ÉÎ
Where
Å = 14th letter.
ß = 1st letter + 9th letter + 6th letter.
Ç = 20th letter + 2nd letter.
Ð = 18th Letter + (26th letter – 8th Letter)
É = 10th Letter.
Î = 20th Letter.
This cache is on the W’Bool to Port Fairy Rail Trail (Bool PFRT) – phonetically part of the “Bull Fart” series.
GCA “First to Find” pathtag in cache.
As soon as the samples are tested by WADA (World Anti Doping Agency), if clean Bucketeer will be awarded FTF.

Logs
We laughed as se approached the sisters and surveyed the exposed walls behind them.
After a short search one of our walking poles hit plastic and we spotted the container. It took a little digging to extract the container from the sticky clay. The lid of the container was cracked, as mentioned by previous finders. The bag protecting the log book has perished and had let water in. The log book has been wet but is now dry and despite being a little mouldy it is still useable. We put the logbook in a new bag and zipped it up. The bagged log was they placed in a camo'ed peanut butter jar which was put into the original container. Hopefully this will extend the life of this great little multi.
Thanks for this interesting little multi Smergol. We enjoyed visiting this section of the rail trail.
Great to see this one has also survived and is still there almost 3 years after the last visitor. Cache has a small hole in the lid, others all is fine with it.
Thanks again Smergol...photo of the logbook attached.
A bit longer walk than the other 2 GCA multis we have done on this trail but a nice flat easy one. Did meet 2 cyclists and a car on the track. Did wonder whether we could have driven to this one and I guess we could have.
Thanks, enjoyed the view at GZ immensely and believe the cache owner has a good sense of humour and imagination!
Today we explored Warrnambool and surrounds using geocaching as our guide.
A nice straight ford multi and walk. The three sisters were in residence and guarding the cache. TFTC
but should come with a warning that it is near a dairy farm so on hot summer days bring a bulk supply of insect repellant
bloody flies
Enjoy this multi and walked toward the cache.
The fifth of seven GC & GCA caches we found along the rail(cache) trail today after parking at Koroit Station and riding down to Kellys Swamp.
A great day out on the bikes all the more fun for all the caches along the way.
There's quite a few wasp nests at GZ and my 8 year old daughter got stung while we were signing the log.
The sisters were quite a bit smaller than famous ones in NSW, but just as impressive.
Thanks for the adventure and the FTF pathtag
