just in case the proud owner of this vehicle forgets the maker and year of manufacture his number plate states the bleen'n obvious DAT 075. Ah yes that's right it's a 1975 Datsun. The photo tells a lie. It is a bit of a wreck really.

I was in Brighton Tasmania getting a GC cache when this car drove past.
It is bleeden obvious that this car owner not being able to use five consecutive Qs on his number plate elected to substitute two zeros for two Qs.
His car an Audi Q5 is registered as QQQ OO5.

On/near the NSW Central Coast there's a police car with the number plates "RBT". I think they often like to roll out this particular car if there's a town fair or similar event on. However I haven't seen the car around to log it for this cache.
However I did spot an unusual number plate - "OVLOV" - the other day, and noticed that it was on a Volvo. Cool! Photo taken, cache logged So many funny pics in the gallery for this cache. TFTLC!

The big wedding day arrived for our granddaughter’s wedding, in Queensland, and with it an entourage of vehicles with the hairdresser, make-up lady, photographer and florist.
It was an incredibly interesting production, the whole process taking four hours to transform the bridal party ladies into beautiful princesses (not that they weren’t beautiful people before).
Even Muggle Hubby lined up for a daub of make-up to cover the spot on his chin where he’d cut himself shaving.
As the photographer was leaving I noticed her numberplate and took a photo.
A great way to advertise your business.
And the wedding turned out spectacularly.

Travelling down the Goulburn Valley Highway, on our way to do more of the GC Mt Disappointment caches, we were travelling behind this red car, it wasn’t until we were slowed by lanes diverging was I able to notice the numberplates which was definitely stating the bleeding obvious.
Not only did it give us a laugh, I quickly snapped the photo with this cache in mind.
Thanks by making the trip more entertaining for us Rigger64

I've spotted a couple of interesting plates around town but have never been in the position to photograph them when I do actually spot them. The one that amuses me most is the VM Tiguan with the rego "BIG BUG", then the other day I happened to see the number plate "I GOT A" and sure enough it was a Jeep.
I was parked next to this one when I went to the post office and had decided to snap its plate 'street photography' style when I returned. Of course if the number plate says ABEEMA the car must be a BMW. Definitely a case of stating the bleeding obvious.
Thanks for the cache.

I was behind a van yesterday on the expressway north just off the Sydney Harbour Bridge with the numberplate BAAAAA - it was a meat carrier.
Sadly the van pulled away before I could get the camera out - but there is no mention on needing a pic, so maybe detail this will suffice?

An Audi Q7, spotted at LeCornu's Furniture showrooms at Keswick, just SW of Adelaide.
Labelled with a highly thought out and detailed plate, expressing exactly the make and model that carries the numberplate.
I had to do a lap of the carpark so I could take the picture from the car. Careful observers may notice my motherinlaw's reflection in the GPS screen.

A VW kombi owned by a sort of co-worker. Spotted in the carpark at work , Flinders uni.
I saw this on the way home from work last week, right by the Cross Rd/Princes Hwy intersection. Nice car. If I was to have a mid-life crisis car, I think it might be one of these, only British Racing Green.
Spotted on the way home, a little Honda Jazz, aptly named JAZZ 02. Nearly at the corner of Kensington and Portrush Rds, eastern side of Adelaide.
Seen a while back, only logging it today. Photo might be a bit fuzzy.

Spotted quite a long time ago, logged today. A Mazda CX7, cunningly named MYCX07. Intersection of Grand Junction Rd and North East Rd, Adelaide, right on my posted coords for "Bend the Jelly"
Spotted this one parked next us near the Devonport Library when we came back from finding Beloved Books. Bonus! TFTL
Stirling, in the adelaide hills. Hardly 4wd territory, but that doesn't stop the locals driving them. This H3 Hummer has an apt, but hardly world-shattering numberplate: H3

This Mercedes was just begging for a smart, clever and witty numberplate. So they ended up with this? Seems like they ran out of ideas when they got to the counter at the registration office.
Edit : Spotted at the intersection of Portrush Rd and Kensington Rd in Adelaide's eastern suburbs.

Spotted on the way home, I saw this Mazda CX9 with a bleeden obvious numberplate. Just below the entry to the freeway out of Adelaide. I was behind it for a km or so until they pulled off to the right somewhere.
Edit- if you think about it why call it CX"0"9 - there must be a "CX9" numberplate out there as well.

Whilst travelling from Hobart to Launceston, we noticed a Holden Monaro GTS heading northwards towards Campbell Town. We later noticed that a "Shaw & Shine" event was being held at the Campbell Town Recreation Ground. The photo shows two Monaros heading north, with the closer having the GTS logo very conspicuous on the boot and the personalised number plate "GTS 075". Yes, it is a case of the "bleeden obvious".
