Description

The Carriage of My Wife's Mother

While my mother in law slept, I crept past her black cat Tiddles, and grabbed her mode of transport to list in this years Moveable Cache Race.

You're searching for a broom. Black handle, with brissles that really work. The log is enclosed in the end of the broom. Remove the plastic cover and a screw top container holds the log. Don't jam the plastic cover over the end too hard though, or it's frustrating to get off.

Why not take a picture of yourself (or your mother in law) taking to the skies (or attempting too) with this aerodynamic marvel. Probably more comfortable if the boys ride side saddle. Pile your friends on too - theres room for more than one! The picture is optional of course.

If you are playing the "Bingo" Cache Race, please note the rules below, to ensure your find counts towards your score.

Happy flying!

Rules (not guidelines) - Bingo Caching Game

  • Your cache must be a form of transport or anything, even peripherally related to transport.
  • Your cache may be store bought or hand crafted.
  • Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2012 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time)
Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your cache on 1 December 2012
Please refer to the Geocaching Australia wiki for more information
  • You are welcome to join the game after it has started provided you list the hidden date and published date as 1 December 2012 and add the word bingo to your cache tags
  • You are required to add the word bingo to the tags on your entry at Geocaching Australia
You can add the word bingo to your tags by visiting your cache page and clicking on Tag in the Actions section in the right hand navigation section of your cache page
  • The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2012 AEDST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2013 AEDST
  • The game administrators decision is final
  • You can find and move your own cache during the game period provided it is not the caches first move
  • Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
  • Only moves count towards your bingo card and you must move the cache at least 1km to count as a valid move
  • There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
  • Other cachers in the game will find / move your cache, but they are requested to move it on within 2 days

On a Drive to Oatlands, I thought it would be good to get the movables out of the car. A few stops and they were placed along the highway in places I could park.

They were placed going South to North, so there are a few you can only get going North

A day out for double points started on the Paradise Peninsula, Sandford then down to Tasman Peninsula and off to the middle of Tasmania to Tunbridge, (well almost) and back to Oatlands for tea with muggle Mum and Tassie Trekkers. That was foiled due to everything being shut on the public holiday. Had to resort to a monte carlo biscuit and thermos coffee! Good to catch up with family and swap some moveables. Now headed North.

Following these finds it was off to a mates place for a visit
Arrived and was invited for lunch and a FRANKS - sure tasted good after the hard morning I had put in
Mine host's hospitality was really appreciated - THANK YOU
This cache was Sainted at 1305 hours without mine host's knowledge as I left- Thanks again
Loved the cache hide; sorry I disturbed the caching party for Nev and his mate

Found with a group of other moveable caches during a catchup with a couple of other teams. We compared notes about recent trips and upcoming ones and exchanged ideas about caching experiences. Read the previous finders log and had a feeling it had been left in place. We had found moveables in this area previously so stopped for a look. Found this entertaining little container inside the GC cache. Have taken it with us and will move it on soon. It may even make it across Bass Strait.

Great little cache MattyRx

We parked right near the cache today, and jumped out of the car to make a very quick find in a familiar location.

We will take the witch back to J & J HQ for a week or two before moving her to a new location soon.

Thanks Mattyrx.

After replacing the log, I figured I had better get this one out again and circulating quickly. I does not seem to have been found by the active GCA players here in SA so I am pretty confident it will get moved along again soon.

I ended up doing a GCA moveable swap in the city in a popular spot to get it on its way!

29-May-18
Decided to replace the log on this one before I move it as it was damaged and thought it was a good idea to write out everyone that has found this one - part way through I realised every man and his dog has found this one - It really has an impressive long list of finders!!!!!

Ill have this one back out and circulating for you very shortly!!!!!

I was just so happen to be checking my local GCA map, and I spotted a nice new movable close to home in a spot I know very well. I had placed one of my own trackables in this location awhile a go.
When I found your little movable I did give a little chuckle, for some reason I think my husband would relate to this one quite well.
I will move this one again soon!

Flying trip to Sydney but found time to grab this one on the way back to the airport. Quick find in a good hide. For an aviating cache, this one doesn't have many km's under it's bristles to show for more than five years travelling. Might help it along a bit with a trip to Adelaide. Very Happy

Periodically the Geocaching Australia review team checks moveable caches that haven’t been found or moved in over 90 days.

This moveable fits that brief, however reading previous logs it seems to still be at the posted co-ords and is now just sitting there waiting for the next finder to give it a go.

So, if you’re in area why not stop by and help it on its way.

Please note that I have replaced the log and zip lock bag which was completely soaked and unreadable.
