Description
GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo - A gnomes tale
From the 1st December 2015 to the 31st January 2016 there is a competition of astro-gnomical proportions!
Gnomes all around Australia will race around the world accumulating finds, moves and distance in order for their owner to be crowned GeGnomic King or Queen!
You can help me and my gnome by finding and moving it along. Please read the rules and what to do below ... and most importantly, have fun!
Rules of the game
- Your GeGnome must be a genuine, bone fide garden gnome. It may be store bought or hand crafted.
- Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2015 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (Geocaching Australia Time).
- Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your GeGnome on 1 December 2015.
- The game administrators decision is final.
- You may find and move your own GeGnome during the game period.
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the GeGnome to another geocacher to hide).
- There is no limit to the number of times a geocacher can find / move the GeGnome provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.
- If a geocacher moves your GeGnome overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the GeGnome mover may move your GeGnome back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.
- There is no limit to the distance other geocachers can move the GeGnome.
Etiquette
- Avoid rehiding a GeGnome far from active geocachers territory as it basically exits the gnome from the race
- When rehiding a GeGnome get good co-ordinates. Seriously. Don't dump and run. Get co-ords as you would a permanent GeGnome.
- When making your log against a GeGnome include a good hint so the finder can identify whether it's been moved, muggled or just a bad GPS day.
- This is a challenge of moving GeGnomes along, not trying to make them impossible to find, so help you fellow players out by making the task enjoyable
- Please avoid hiding movable caches near existing Groundspeak or Geocaching Australia geocaches. At Groundspeak geocaches they go missing as rubbish or taken as trades. At Geocaching Australia geocaches the other geocache ends up travelling as well which it's not supposed to. So please find a location away from any existing geocaches (except of course other movable geocaches) to keep the GeGnomes in play for as long as possible.

Cache has been with the previous find for almost 12 months. To avoid others looking for a cache that is not in the stated location, this cache is being archived. If it appears again, it can be reinstated…

Moved to Callum Brae Nature Reserve. Follow the track from the entrance gate off Narrabundah Lane. Hidden in the end of a large fallen tree, at ground level, just beyond where the path splits into two. See spoiler picture.
I picked up a bag of moveables. This was in it. TFTC Chwiliwr.

For a bit of a change from sitting in front of the computer solving jigsaws today, I managed to discover this and a few other Moveables. They aren't moving much during this period of isolation due to the COVID 19 restrictions which are being lifted gradually so it is good to be able to log these thanks to SDL. All logs available were signed and replaced. Thanks CHWILIWR for this fellow.

Dropped this off on the way into the ACT to move it on it's way.
Was stuck for a while due to the holder not doing too much travelling lately.
The tub at the drop off point was broken and damp inside so will need to be replaced (we left the TB's in a plastic bag).

With a day off and an event in ‘The Rock’ plus pre-geocaching lead to a great day out. I also got a FTF on the cache ‘Break the Drive – Urana’ (GA12529). I started out with collecting the finds around Urana which included the most disgusting cache I have ever found (GC3BDFX). [xx(][xx(] I completely disapprove of that cache and hope to never see a hide like that ever again. [xx(][xx(] I visited a few different spots around and I enjoyed the ‘Leap year 2020 at The Rock’ event hosted by B&MG. A great BBQ and many geo-conversations were had by all. There were also many GCA moveable caches signed while we were there. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring joy to me and the rest of the caching community. TFTE and TFTC’s

Off to Sydney for a work Christmas party day-trip and I arrived near Melbourne Airport with a whole hour to spare. Happy to geocache my way around Keilor, this was a moveable I came across. TFTF Chwiliwr!
Moved this cache along and it's now ready to be found. Thanks for attending the Meet the Moveable event and hope your travels are safe and far.
Headed down to Melbourne for the Meet the Moveables event at Brimbank Park, where this moveable, along with about 120 other were found. A good turn out at the event and everyone seem to have a lot fun talking about all things caching while finding the moveables and getting a start on the Journey or Destination summer game. A good couple of hours were spent in the area before witching hour rolled around and it was time to head back up the highway towards home. T'was an uneventful trip and with the number of moveable on offer, was certainly worth the drive.
Thanks for the moveable.....

A quick pickup of moveables today for a secret meeting to take place in just a little while. Your geocache would like to join the secret activities so it may not move for a little while but it will be safe and sound and will be moved along (and hopefully logged quite a bit) in the not too distant future.
