Description
Where the goats tend to trek along their way to the peak of Castle Hill.
This small cache is a sistema container, camo'd in the usual manner, hidden amongst the volcanic deposits which litter Castle Hill. Just a short stroll from the bottom carpark, along the main 'Goat Track' and you will become enlightened with some panoramic views. Many people visit this location, so some stealth may be needed or someone to keep a 'ear-out' for passing muggles.

We were a bit lazy on our last visit to Castle Hill and only found the caches at the top. And what a good thing, now we had another cache to find for the Journey or Destination game. Found a park which being up on the road hardware wasn't really a park but was all there was and started up the 1,420 steps. Being early morning the goat track was busy with many fit and hopeful people making the trek to the top. With the good hint, once we remembered to look at it, we found the cache quickly. Unfortunately the log was saturated... also unfortunately we had no space for cache supplies when we flew to Townsville so this was one of the few times we had no cache maintenance gear with us. Anyway we tried to get something on the log but it only ended in tears (as in rips, not weeping) so gave up. Excellent views, TFTC mrmackie85.

Found it but i did probably climb far too high before coming back down to GZ. i signed one of the many scraps of paper inside
Almost 3 years between drinks for this one....
Parked down the bottom and headed up the track. Wasn't that long and I was GZ, but it was 10 minutes before the cache was in hand. My 3 metre count was a bit much, but once at the right level, the cache was spotted. The log was soaked and un-signable....so a scrap piece of paper was installed as the new log. Photo of the old log is attached, as well as one of the view from near GZ.
Thanks again MrMackie85.....enjoyed the walk and the area.

Walked down from the top and grabbed a GC cache and this one. Mr Beetle picked me up at the bottom in the van so I guess I got this one the easy way. Mind you the retrieval in thongs was a bit tricky and in the end I abandoned them and did it barefooted. The get fit muggles that went past as I was signing the log must have wondered what the hell I was up to! Thanks.
actually placed a part time cache here as no replacement from co in over two months . claiming FTF
