This is the Salvation Army thrift store at 101 Main Street in Lithgow, lots of interesting things there, I got many a book from this shop!

My local charity Op Shop is run by Lifeline, only a couple of blocks away at Waitara in the north of Sydney. It used to be an old local hardware store that obviously couldn't compete with the nearby big chain outlets. While I have never been in there to check out the goods (maybe I should soon being unemployed hopefully temporarily) I have donated clothes to it before. Thanks Black Bunny for the cache.

This City Mission Shop is located at 73 George Town Road Newnham. It was the location a large supermarket chain until they moved and City Mission took the site. The shop carries a range of furniture, house hold items, electrical goods, books and clothing all at bargain prices. Shop hours are Mon - Fri 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.

Boorowa Community Op Shop. 113 Pudman Street, in Boorowa - just off the main drag near the roundabout.
Opening hours are variable these days, but I've got: Thursday and Friday, 1000 - 1600. Saturday 10000 - 1300. Run by Rotary.

This is the Lifeline shop in Asquith, NSW, at 375 Pacific Hwy. It's a double front shop and has small furnishings, nick-nacks and clothes. The shop is bright and airy and everything is clean and in good condition. Being classed as non-essential, it's currently closed.

"Vinnies" Op Shop, Surry Hills, Sydney NSW.

I've worked nearby for 20 years and this Op Shop has been there as long as I can remember. I've bought many things there, and the other days I popped in and bought a "Keep Calm and Support The Boro" mug, and "Surface Detail" by Iain N. Banks (both inset in photo). I hope the mug isn't rascist or something. After reading "The Algebraist" by Banks I'm keen to read more of his books, although apparently Surface Details is book 8 of a 9 book series doh

The address is 96 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne Victoria.

The shop operates 7 days a week 10AM-4PM.

You can find many things second hand from books to household good to clothing.

One of the more recently opened op-shops in Launceston is The Kingsway Salvos. 22-24 The Kingsway, Launceston. Now with extended trading hours for summer. Open Mon-Fri 9-6, Sat 9-5, Closed Sunday. I have bought quite a lot of cheap but good quality books from here. Thankyou Black Bunny for providing the cache.

City Mission Shop on the corner of Frederick Street and Welington St Launceston. It is open 8.45am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday but closes for lunch between 12 and 1pm. The shop sells all the usual second hand goods and uses profit to provide services to individuals in need in the community

While out and about looking for scavenges found a new op shop located at Sorell in Tasmania. Opening hours 9 - 5 Mon - Sat. I did spy a wedding dress with a train which I used for an earlier scavenge. TFTL

This store is located on 1/112 Westwood Dr, Deer Park VIC 3023. There are many great bargains to be found and this store will 99.99% of the time accept donations from others.

SB Community Store ( South Burnett) Nanango is located on the corner of Henry and Drayton streets Nanango Qld 4615.
Photo of shop front in gallery. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 08.30am to 5.00pm and Saturday 08.30am to 11.30am. The store has been operating for 12 months. They rely on donations from the public that are left in the area provided at the Rear of the store in Henry Street. Nanango used to have a rather large St. Vincents De Paul store but this closed due to high operating cost several years ago and the Endeavour store closed 2 weeks ago for the same reason. Operating costs ( rent electricity etc) way below income for a few years. I have looked in the store but nothing on offer jumped out at me and said " buy Me". I would rather just leave a donation in the container on the counter to assist them with costs etc. There is another Charity Store opening soon in a building that is owned by the operator and we will have to see how that shop goes.
