Description
A nano cache located in a great spot in Victoria Park
In my deep dark past, I was once an 'avid' geocaching.com cacher. With that comes the requisite amount of nano caches (once all the good spots have been taken and a more urbanised lifystyle). However having left that period behind, I still have a large number of bison tubes, nanos and hanging nanos in my caching box. Rather than bin them, I can support the GCA cause by throwing some nanos out there. They are not supposed to be 'difficult', just an excuse to show you some of the nicer parts of Perth and historical locations I have come across (and I haven't seen much at all).
This windmill is quite a feature of Victoria Park being at the junction of Shepparton Rd and the Albany Highway. Constructed in 1940's as an advertising feature, it is still going strong. Hopefully it can last another 60 years.
To access the log, please unscrew the base from the lid. The lid will remain attached. After logging, please rescrew the base to the lid. Should be ok.

Thanks fluffyfish for placing this cache for cachers to find.
Flew in this afternoon and grabbed a few GCA cacahes on the way to the hotel. First find for the day. Nice and simple in an interesting location.
TFTC !!
I found the log jammed between branches of the bush - and then found the empty cache container nearby which seemed a bit odd. After signing I put it all back together again. Nice old windmill!

How the tables have turned ... I've spent the past 4 years walking past GCA caches unnoticed as I hunted GC caches. Enjoying my caching so much more lately with a focus on GCA ones and the Dragonzone game
Nicely hidden cache here. Thanks fluffyfish
The log is dry, somewhat discoloured, but otherwise no problems.
Thanks for the cache fluffyfish.
So I followed it around to the other side, and then back again, and it had come around to my way of thinking by then. So I took a seat and had a bit of a look around, and phew, spotted the container.
Retrieving it was a bit of mission as well, but I got there in the end. Thanks for the cache fluffyfish!
Thanks for the cache.
