Description

A cache in the flavour of the Curse the Hider series, (by 2y'stassies).

These types of items have seemed to attract cache placements, so I've continued the tradition!

It is located at an aircraft propellor which is installed as a memorial to Tasmanians who have served in the Australian Flying Corp and the Royal Australian Air Force.

The propellor is from a Caribou that was used during the Vietnam War.

Cache is a cammoed magnetic key holder container. Please bring your own pen.

Attended gz today with the most recent finder who advised the cache is missing. Searched the nearby area but no sign of it.

A quick find thanks to the generous clue. After making the find enjoyed a walk around the memorial park accompanied by lots of dog walking muggles. Thanks.

Out and about for the Clan Minotaur Summer Scavenger Series 2016/17 Clan Minotaur and found this one whilst in the area.

Arrived at GZ and thought "oh no" but made a quick find.

Thanks Dippedidooda for bringing us here and for the cache.

I was surprised with how big this container was considering the location.

Thanks for the cache.

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.

Back in Glenorchy for a few unexpected days. Today we packed our lunch and headed out to make a few finds in a new area to us.

Enjoyed our lunch break here with the view but looking through the thick smoke today.

Found out and about with LRS0712 for an early cache run while in the area.
Didn't take long to find after a local moved on with her dog. TFTC

Cache zombified.
Interesting part of the park that I have not been to before. Quick find while having lunch left me time to have a look at the memorial. Cache in good order.

Our first Geocaching Australia find. Lovely park, never been before.
A different cache to what we were expecting. Thanks Dippedidooda.

We were wandering back to our geomobile after a cache maintenance walk to work off lunch for a nearbyish establishment. Turned the gps on just to check what w in the area and discovered we are very close to this one! Had some. Doubts about finding it, as we have had trouble with micros on guns before. However, the gods smiles on us and there wasn't a gun at gz and we located the cache without problem. TFTC

Third time lucky: I'm sure I looked "there" the first time, several months ago, but I had no success. Then yesterday I decided to have another look, and found the cache ... but had no pen. So, today I took my evening stroll this way again, WITH the pen, and now the log book is duly signed. Thanks, Dippedidooda.

Ok, let's try again. Does that make it Curse it #2.2?

Curses! I thought that was pretty well hidden, but there seems to be a bit of a Lindisfarne curse with a number of caches I think! Might take me a few days to get another cache and silver it up etc, but will get on to it soon! Sorry 2 y's.

After a visit south to catch up with family yesterday, we made an early start this morning for a little caching and to get home for an afternoon commitment. After having a good run, we came to this location and despite an extensive search, the cache was not found. We found a location which could contain the suggested container and which was consistent with the information provided and with location comments made by some previous finders but, alas, no cache. We even resorted to a mirror to look in those parts we could only just feel. When you get the opportunity Dippedidooda, we would appreciate this cache being checked. We were either very cache blind this morning or it has gone walkabout.

The hint helped a lot. We took the pathtag TFTC Dippedidooda

We had a couple of hours free before meeting our daughter so decided on a Lindisfarne walk past the new caches.

Had not been along the path to this memorial before. A very nice spot and an interesting memorial. Thanks Dippy for showing it to us. Left pathtag. TFTC

17-May-13
I really liked this one - an interesting memorial, and though there were muggles around, it was relatively easy to grab and replace, and it shouldn't be accidentally found.
Thanks, Dippy.

14-May-13
Found it at 3:15pm. Very interesting. First time see the aircraft propeller so close. Thanks

Hi Dippy
A quick walk from #1 to #2 and a very quick find was had at 0710hrs.
This find was my 1265th GCA success.
A couple of dogs and their owners sojourned passed at this cache but were none the wiser of my purpose for being there.
Great hide with some interesting info attached.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

Quick find. My hand fits in easily, but is harder to get out with a cache in my grip. Second FTF for today!

Hope you enjoy it.
