Description

Another 'ICEM' cache to add to the collection

NOTE: The cache container is a plastic screw top tub in a MILO TIN. So make sure you bring either a FLAT BLADED SCREW DRIVER, SPOON or other suitable tool to remove lid. The views from this spot are simply SPECTACULAR! Access is from the car park at the top of the hill at Kelly Knob. Walk up to the gates and climb around rocks, there is another gate a bit further up and once again climb the rocks to get around. There is now a good path all the way to the top. You may see some signs saying no entry but my understanding ( from locals I spoke to )is that these relate to vehicles using the actual gates themselves, not pedestrian traffic. I'm sure you are all familiar with the history of ICEM caches so I won't repeat it all again here, however if you would like to refresh your memory please visit the following link. http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/I%27ve_cached_everywhere%2C_man The cache contains only a log book, BYO pencil. However if you do forget to bring a writing implement you are welcome to take a photo with your gps/smart phone showing you or a team member, please include your favourite perspective in the background.

So disappointed not finding this one. Could still be there just not where I looked. I wasn't game to go further over the edge.

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 14. A morning in and around Kununarra was followed by a Ord River crossing as the Ivanhoe crossing and a back roads trip to Windham for dusk.

I decided not to walk up today as it was already too hot for me.

Thanks
Albida

After I picked up my car (after service) I had some spare time and this cache was on my bucket list, so what better to do than go caching. The cache was a quick find, though the walk up did take me a while (I'm over 65, overweight and Diabetic), but walks like this don't stop me. D/T - definitely a 1/3. The views from the top are worth the trip by themselves but to pick up a (rare) ICEM cache makes it all the more worthwhile. As I began my walk down it appeared to be peak hour with up to a dozen other walkers on their way up. It seems that after about 4.30pm a lot of locals use this walk/climb as a part of their exercise routine. Thanks to SeabreezeOZ for the cache.

Having pretty much stared straight at this cache from our campsite below at Hidden Valley, it became a "must find" this morning. We have an ICEM in our home town in Tassie, so this is about as far flung as we're likely to get with this series. Just FYI, GSAK tells me it's 3454Km direct from home, though many more k's than that have been clocked up getting here. We thought we might score STF following on from our compatriots Tassie Trekkers but Goldenwattle snuck in under our guard so it's TTF for us. We agree that the terrain rating needs to be upped a little though! Thanks SeabreezeOz

Only the second to log. Amazing! Lovely view from up here and well worth the effort. The climb was not as bad as I imagined, but still I would rate it 2 difficulty, 3 terrain; NOT 1 & 1 Laughing. Fortunately I didn't need the hint, because there are no photographs to see on my Garmin GPS Not Talking. TFTC SeabreezeOZ. More people should do this cache. It's worth it for the view.

Found this cache while staying at Kununurra. Wow over 2 years since placed and a FTF so far away from home. Arrived at car park and found the nearby cache then looked up to see where our target was. Yes it was up there!!! The walk was easier than it looked from below and we enjoyed the view from the top. Cache is in good condition and the car key made the perfect opener.

Thanks SeabreezeOz for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
