Description
Shortest access is via the Groove Creek track...see maps and notes at.....billshep1.wordpress.com/
or you can continue on from the previous caches, depending on fitness.
At the time of publishing, the track has been slashed and cleaned off, but a few small trees are still across the track though pose no real obstacle for the earlybird cachers.
These trees will be removed very soon so please bear with me.
All logs and debris has now been cleared by myself and the hard work of Bill, Max and Chris.
Also, could Geocachers please note any fallen logs or debris across the track in their cache log as an aid to keeping the trails maintained. As you can appreciate that with the trail
extending over a large distance, maintenance is a real issue, especially with only a handfull of volunteers.
The cache is a small black container with bison tube and log roll, small swaps and pencil.
This cache is at Farmers Creek, more caches will be placed further south at a later date but the track will need to be cleared first.
Enjoy!

Sorry for generic copy and paste, too tired to think.
We decided to park at the groove creek carpark and walk from DHT #7 towards #15. there were numerous trees over the track and we never had a saw with us to clear them so we only cleared what we could, the track was very overgrown in places and after battling our way to #11 the decision was made that it was enough battling for today and we made our way back to the car.
on the way back i nearly walked straight on top of a tiger snake crossing the track, i did a good job to spot him before i would have stepped on him.
This cache was a quick find in the obvious spot as per the hint. TFTC

Today we targetted 8 caches along this stretch of the trail. We parked at the car park for Secluded Falls and walked, skated and slid down the hill again. The first couple of caches were along relatively flat terrain and the track weaved beside the river. Evidence of recent track clearing was appreciated and today we noticed the ferns shooting new growth after the recent rain.
The terrain became steeper and challenging as we proceeded along the track engaging the mountain goat in us. 3 hours after we left the car park we arrived at Spellmans Crossing. Here we rested and had lunch ready for our return journey which saw us back at the car 6 hours after we left.
Thanks sirius for all the effort gone into placing these caches and clearing the track.
We then backtracked downstream to the junction of Dooley's Track and the Groove Creek Track. From there it took us 35 minutes to make our way, slowly, back up the steep track to the car. By this time persistent light rain was falling and we were glad to be ending our walk at this time rather than starting out. We arrived back at our car exactly 3 hours after setting off and during that time we managed to find the four remaining caches in this excellent series. Thanks Sirius Tas for the caches and the track clearing.
Joint *ftf* with Oldsaint
Thanks for the cache Sirius
Found cache at 1430
Another caching day accompanied by Budgietas in the North West area.
I left home at 0500hrs, meeting up with the "flyer" at 0600hrs. I found 11 for the day while Budgie got 20 or 21. We got back to Budge's home at 2100hrs and I arrived back in Huonville an hour later.
"Dooleys Heritage Trail #9" was my eleventh find for the day. From # 8 to this cache. The log signed at 1430hrs. Now back track to the base of the hill and start the arduous walk back to the cache mobile. Got a joint *FTF* with Budge on this cache. Including the falls and the three Dooleys caches a Favourites point from me.
Prior to this I had found "Chudleigh hut", "State of the Union"; those caches on Gog Hill; others found today included some of sirius Tas' new ones around the Wilmot River and a couple in Devonport.
Overall a long and in some places a hard day but very rewarding. We both scored on flip flop (leech) bite each in the Wilmot area; I even carried one in my clothing back to Turners Beach where it tried to attach to my hand. No blood in my alcohol stream - TeHeHe!
Thanks Budge for another great day.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.
