My entry into the 2013/2014 Moveable Cache Race
This moveable is starting off in a favourite place of mine, Heirrson Island. This cache is pretty unique. It is made using a 3D printer. I was able to find a design on Thingiverse of a weeping angel. I submitted it to our local library (which amazingly had a 3D printer) and within a few days it was made. The quality of the printing is quite good despite the fact not much tweaking is done to the printer settings.
So enjoy this angel and definitely keep an eye on it!

New bison with log sheet attached to the Angel and now just waiting to be picked up.
Picked this one up today, elements are getting to it a bit.Small hole in edge of base, no attached bison or log sadly.Also on further inspection one wing has been broken off some time ago by the look of the broken area.

I had an afternoon grabbing a few caches, then I decided to check to see if GCA had anything new to offer - wait what! a trail of new GCA moveables was in town thanks to the lovely 2'ystassies, I love GCA caches, but alas people usually come to Adelaide and take the movables back with them interstate without dropping some new ones for us to find - not today, SA has been restocked and I will get these out and scattered as soon as possible.

A quick find of two caches in the same location in a visit to the area to find a couple of moveable caches, a couple of history caches and a couple of GC caches. We'll move this one on asap. TFTC
Finding moveables around the Domain before we head back to Lonnie and this was one we found. A quick find due to accurate co ordinates and hint.

Your playing field is a grid 20 x 20 ground tiles making a total number of 400 possible steps you can take on your journey or destination. You choose whether you want to find and follow the path or whether you wanted to meander around. A playing field is unique to each player so there is no benefit in teaming up to beat the system through brute force.
For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath. There are a number of different ground tiles that will be revealed when you click on your playing field. It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile.
Dirt. The ground beneath the ground tile is just plain old brown dirt.

Found these moveable caches on the way home from Lilydale taking the grandkids to see the Lilydale Stuffed Santas. We didn't see all the 90 santas around town but found quite a few, lovely idea to bring people into a small town. We'll get these ones out again asap. TFTC

This fine summer's evening attended geocaching australia event: The Moveables are Here!!, graciously hosted by Tassie Trekkers. Was fortunate to make it to the event as was not working and I only noted that it was going to be held on the previous evening - almost missed it. So many moveables in the one spot, roughly 150 in attendance. Nothing for it but to record a couple of notebook pages full of numbers. A very cute, however, somewhat sad little angel found among others, waiting for a message from god at Riverside.. thanks..!!

Out and about today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP, I stopped in at the moveable event (GA13269). It was flat out spotting and logging moveable caches - have not seen so much action at a geocaching event before. Luckily there was a nearby GC event after this one, where we could recover with a cuppa and a biscuit. Found at the Snug moveable meet along with many other moveables. What a busy time I will have logging all these moveables. I found four moveables at Evandale and bought these along for the ride. We saw there had been new caches published linking New Norfolk to Huonville so we thought we might head off and find them and quite a few others in the Huon area that had been published while we have been away. As we had planned to see the grandsons play their soccer matches it was nearly lunchtime before we made a start. Seeing the New Norfolk end cache had been found we decided to head to the Huon Valley area and then work our way to New Norfolk via the Plenty Link Road.
We stopped to do a multi near where Perth Weeping Angel was hidden but were muggled out, so grabbed the Angel and another moveable and headed off to another cache. Will move on soon.

After a great family weekend we had a few moveable caches to rehide, hopefully we've calculated correctly and they're all at least 250km from where we picked them up
A quick find close to home. What a cute little angel, she's a little worse for wear but still has a lovely smile. We'll move her on asap
After enjoying sometime back civilisation Perth Weeping Angel is ready to set sail again. She had no wish to return to the wilderness and was last seen heading towards the open door of a fellow cacher's home.
After a very busy day that started with a very early morning walk into Liffey Falls that resulted in a DNF followed by a trip along the Birralee road for a FTF and a trip into Launceston for another cache a dash home for lunch and a shower before heading out for a family funeral we felt like an evening walk. As we had yet to find our GCA cache for today - another gap on our Finds by Day of the Year Dragon Zone grid - we decided to head up Mount Montgomery to rescue Perth Weeping Angel as she had spent four weeks in the Tasmanian bush.
We left the car at what used to be the Penguin tip and headed along the Myrtle Creek Track - what a shock we got Myrtle Creek was dry and the usually lush moss was withered and crisp. We had last been in this area in July when the creek was running swiftly and the moss was brilliant and lush. What a difference a few months of unusually hot dry weather can make. The sun was setting as we made our way up and there was much scurrying along the track side as little animals made there way out to forage as the air temperature dropped. The black cockatoos were having a riotous time in the trees above and every now and then a large dead branch would fall. They seemed to have found a food source in the dead branches and were ripping them apart with great gusto.
Accurate coordinates and an excellent hint lead to a quick find of this intriguing little angel. 3D printing has certainly come a long way. We did notice that her plastic has become brittle in places and she has lost part of one wing. With the angel safely stowed away in our caching bag it was time to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed finding your weeping angel Fluffyfish and will get her out and about in the next day or two.

A lovely little fairy. I picked it up from a hazardous spot on the highway and relocated her to a scenic spot that is just a short stroll from a fantastic rest area alongside the Numeralla River. This spot is very popular for caravans and motorhomes so watch out for muggles.
There is an historical marker at the rest area that implies that the exploration team that discovered the Monaro turned back just short of reaching the Numeralla and Murrumbidgee Rivers. D'oh!

Picked up. I went to find one cache and it was Christmas . Nine caches ! Will move on soon. Log was full, so I added a new one. TFTC fluffyfish.

Lots of studying today means not really getting out much - so it's always nice when a cache lands in your hands!

Found this movable which I have left here for another cacher to find. Good location and easy to find.
