Stopped by this cache while in Waratah. Interesting place, great engineering!.
Geo Kid O said it was a good hide due to the length the cache has survived

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

Today we left Stanley with gooseandegg and Tassie Trekkers for a caching run down the road to nowhere onto Corinna, Savage River, Waratah and anywhere in between. We left Stanley and cached for 12 hours and had a thoroughly wonderful day out, despite the rain. The rain cleared by the time we got to Corinna and by the time we got to Waratah it was lovely in the late afternoon. A great spot for a cache. TFTC

Today we travelled from Stanley via Corinna to Waratah and back with whitewebbs and gooseandegg.
A big day of caching with the odd drizzle of rain.
Thanks for bringing us to this interesting location, one that we have not visited before.
Cache and contents in good condition.

#GA4070 - 13:20; Today's mission was to collect finds in the four remaining dragonZones on the Tasmanian 'mainland', so I headed off early for Rosebery, stopping off for a catch-up with a fellow cacher in Ulverstone on the outward journey. On the homeward leg now and heading in to Waratah, stopped off for this cache. A nice easy find in a quiet location. TFTC sirius Tas

We were on a post-Christmas west coast sojourn, avoiding the crowds on the east coast! This was an interesting location that we hadn't visited before. TFTC
Found it on our last night here after a week. Interesting.

Found this one heading home on Sunday. We called into Waratah for something to eat and to do some droning. Thanks for the cache.
We found this on the Toolbox and Swampy 3 day West Coast trip.
I have been here before, looking for this cache, and I can't remember why I DNF'd it... maybe I was blind or it was dark? Don't know but today we found it!
Thanks for the cache sirius Tas!

The egg and girls looked for this on the way to the event today with no luck. We appreciate the CO replacing this before we returned with TazScout and stainless-steel-rat after the event and miss J made a quick find where she had searched earlier.
A quick find with SSRat and Goose&Egg after the Oz Day event, interesting spot. TFTC
Quick find thanks to the CO replacing it just before we got to it. Another great cache

Another of those "we'd never have stopped here but for the lure of a cache & now we're so glad we did" type spots. Fascinating stuff & there's even a button to press! It took us a moment to work out what it did. TFTC.

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Our last day in Waratah so we headed out to those caches that we had yet to find on our last few days here. Nice quiet town that we were pleased to have visited.
Wow Mr Felix really loved all the history here and was so very pleased to visit here, all thanks to your geocache.

Whilst caching in the Waratah area today, we completed a maintenance run on Angus88 caches and included this one along the way. The cache and contents were in excellent condition. We hope that there are many finds this summer - a very interesting place to visit.
I went for a terrific excursion today with 2y'stassies, with Magnet our destination. The weather was amazing and we had an enjoyable walk and look around, as well as finding the cache there. After that we visited or revisited a few other caches and we were still home by mid-afternoon! I think I was prepared for a journey to the West Coast by olden day standards where we might not be home by dark. An incredible spot - so many historical spots of interest dotted around the west coast. The cache was in perfect condition, nice and dry. Thanks Sirius.

didn't understand the point of a cache being here, until, I looked into the hole. interesting. noticed on the board that there was a dam further up the road so we visited that too. Might put a cache there on our next trip to the area as it's where the tunnel gets its water supply from.
I find the idea of this tunnel amazing - 2m high and 1.5m wide, 2km long, dug by hand!
TFTC Sirius, very interesting

Found this one while on a Good Friday Mystery Bus Tour to the Waratah area. Will return to read the info and check out the tunnel another day as the weather was bitter and we needed to move on. Ran in to Sharnie's Tribe not long after and they noted that we had put the wrong date in the log book for this one. Thanks.
Doing a Good Friday caching run and this one was top of our list. An easy find with the aid of the hint, surprised to see that we were the second team here today. A cold and windy day in Waratah. TFTC
It was such a lovely day that we headed west to enjoy the scenery and to look for a couple of caches along the way. We had seen the sign to the Water Tunnel before but had never taken the time to stop and look. This cache gave us the incentive. The first thing we noticed was the shaft, in particular it's depth. The light enabled us to get a better view. The second thought was the heavy labour that must have gone into the task of digging the tunnel through solid rock. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. the cache and it's contents were in good condition. There being no other entries in the log, we will claim FTF at 13:30. Thanks for bringing us to an interesting location Sirius Tas and TFTC.
