Description
I'm sure we have all seen one of these in our travels-a collection on a fence or on a wall or in a tree or similar that people have added to over the years-the shoe tree, the cowboy boot fence, the bra fence, hubcap wall, the jandal fence, the hat gate, and even a toothbrush fence that now has all sorts of brushes on it in New Zealand.
What can you find?
I have put an example in the gallery.
Log with location.
GPS not required.
Logs
Over the years we have passed many unusual collections but never thought to stop and get a photo as we were unaware of locationless caching then.
Do have a photo taken at the Daly Waters pub of a collection of thongs [of the foot variety].
Anyone travelling north through the NT should stop here for a look, a great meal and some very varied entertainment. The pub itself is worth exploring too.
And they offer cheap accommodation next door if you are travelling by motorhome or have a caravan.

A collection of kettles on Kettle Corner in remotish South Australia. I am reliably informed that Pot Corner is nearby. I presume they mean to cooking variety! Thanks Corunnaroad for organising the locationless cache.
A collection of unwanted shoes handing from overhead power lines in a backstreet of Prahan in Victoria, very creative. Not sure if this an artistic piece or a collection that has grown on its own from multiple contributors.. thanks..!!

Some kids would be upset to see these set in concrete

This collection of hub caps adorn a fence in American River, Kangaroo Island, SA.
Found someone's shoe collection just hanging around in Foster, Victoria. These little collections always make me smile, and I wonder about who placed the first item, and how amused they must be that others have followed..!
A collection of workboots at a pub in the NT.

A collection of bath tubs turned into lily ponds-a very interesting yard.

In the countryside in NZ-you need to paint your boot before adding it to the fence.

A collections of corks - hard to get when most bottles of wine have screw tops these days!

Think some of these may still be being used.

#GA233 - 13:50; Discovered this collection of old album covers on the wall of the Cellar Door at the Brooks Road Winery after grabbing the GC cache nearby. Scary when I thought how old many of them were and then how many had been (or still are) in my collection TFTC corunnaroad

Hi corunnaroad
Having been sitting at the computer looking at and filing photographs that I have taken as I have found and logged caches.
Came across this series of photos depicting two different collections:
1. Number Plates
2. Footwear.
These photographs were taken whilst doing the cache GC24RKR 'DOUBLE SANDY POINT' near Bridport on the North east Coast of Tasmania.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

Went for a drive to Sisters Beach today and spotted The Gnome Crossing, a collection of gnomes, fairies and frogs beside the road. Very cute but we didn't have anything with us to add! Will have to come back one day with a gnome who wants to live in the bush near the beach.
A collection of orange ribbons with harmonious sentiment!

I was own near Nindigully and Mungindi headng towards Goondiwindi in the east and was very surprised to see this one not far from town. It is a collection as I counted 17 stuffed animals affixed to the tree.
An interesting 'collection' of mailboxes on Wilmot Rd (Wilmot TAS).

We were driving along Andersons Road near Drysdale Victoria when we came across a most unusual fence collection. For a length of about 150m, groups of dead foxes were hanging from the fence. We are not sure if this was to deter other foxes, to let people know about the wide spread fox problem in the area or an odd "funny statement". It then started us thinking. What is the collective name for a group of dead foxes? The best we came up with was a "Phew of Dead Foxes" as the stench in the area was very noticeable. Thanks for a fun cache. PS The Tasmanian Fox Eradication Task Force might import a few of these to justify its existence.
A collection of caps in the middle of nowhere in NZ.

Hi Corunnaroad,
Well, this is a collection, I just hope you think it fits the requirements for your locationless (let me know if it doesn't and I'll delete it - no problems)
The collection is of...Bubble Gum. It's a wall of the stuff at a location in the Downtown area of Seattle. There is a cache here, which has been found 1081 times, DNF'd 531 (including mine) and has 355 points, although a lot of finders say the place is 'yucky'. You can check the attached photo's and make up your mind on that.....
This is the link to it. http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC24H25_double-bubble-toil-trouble
Hope you get a laugh out of it....

Ha Ha.
Just by coincidence I took a photo of this 'Flip Flop Pole' in a local street of Margaret River, and I actually added my own flip flop with my caching name and the date to the pole.
Brilliant cache idea.

Across & up a bit from Dee Beach in Bendalong is a gum tree covered in thongs plus a few surfboards up in the branches. I was using my super zoom for the first time & didn't do a real good job but they can be made out. GCA sent me an email today saying I needed to find a cache so opportune. Thanks.

Whilst tackling the mammoth multi that is Benito's Challenge with a group of cachers late last year we came across a tree decorated with the discarded dummies and bottles of the babies who had presumably passed this way before us. There must be a healthy baby boom in town or just a haven for Mums and their offspring!
This shoe-stump is located along Roaring Beach Road on the Tasman Peninsula. Anyone missing a shoe?
Hmmm- found a few collections, but none creepyer than this collection of dead dogs!

This boot tree is on the Burra-Morgan Road in South Australia. There's a cache there called Boot Camp, just which boot is it? TFTL
