Second day of my Victorian road trip to the Parkville event in Melbourne. Last night I made it to Bendigo and today will bring me to Ballarat and then the end goal for today You Yang. Again lots of caches to pick from. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing them!

We visited Castlemaine on the hunt for GCA caches and this was one we found. A nice walking area. TFTC.

Found today by Team Ladava on a half day excursion to the Castlemaine area.
Very luck to be able to log this one today.
I walked up and the container was lying fully exposed stuffed full of pine cones and rubbish.
The log book in its plastic bag was lying beside it.
A pretty poor effort by muggles.
However, a pleasant spot in the park for a cache.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

Our thanks to tigersden for the cache and bringing us to this location.

As the light started to fade we headed towards GZ for this cache. A moor hen loudly protested at our prescence and the frogs were croaking loudly from the nearby pond. A really magic time of day.
Accurate coordinates lead to a quick find.
The container and contents were in very good condition.
Thanks for another enjoyable caching experience Tigersden.

#GA976 - 13:15; After a week in Victoria with the geohoney, it was time to head north for home. With plenty of time up our sleeves, we decided to take our time and stop off in a couple more of the historic goldfields towns between Creswick and the Hume Highway. Daylesford was a bit damp and bleak, so after checking out a few of the local attractions, it was off to Castlemaine. After a stop at the Burke & Wills Memorial, it was off up the hill to collect a couple more caches, including this one. Recent clearing in the area made for a quick find and sign on this one. Grabbed the other GCA cache first and noticed something that fit the clue for this one as we drove past. When we returned we headed straight over to the object and feared that this one may have gone as there was a pile of limbs and gathered bush rubbish very close to GZ. But the cache was still there safe and sound. Perhaps the workers found it and decided to leave its cover there as everything else laying on the ground had been gathered up and piled together.
Thanks, love a traditional GCA cache.

Second find while up in this area and no problems with the find. Had a short walk around the area but might need to come back another day to check it a bit more...

Thanks again Tigersden....

1645 with A+. I wanted to take the mentioned track but A+ was resolute on a direct line. Started regretting it but it wasn't too bad. Only birds and a small lizard for wildlife - would have loved to have seen one of those dragons. Cache well covered. On way back I noticed felled pine trunks riddled with huhu grub holes. Yum. Thanks for taking us into a park we have on occasion ridden around Tigersden.

After finding both the nearby GC letterbox and multi caches we figured it would be plain silly to skip the chance to bag 3 types in one place so we nailed this one too. What a buzz when we discovered on logging that we were in close proximity to the immortal caughtatwork, GCA guru extraordinaire. Thanks tigersden.

A much needed geocache for the Winter is Coming game and of course, just because it's a GCA cache. The cache has been here for quite a while and I've been looking at hitting this area for a while. Today was the day with pleasant sun, no wind and some geocaches to find. A quick exit frmo the car and we were at GZ where the cache was a nice easy find. Still in very good nick after a year and so few finds. I like them all the more for the unlovedness.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks tigersden for this cache experience here today. It was a very nice area to get out a stretch the legs.

I am well behind on logging caches, attempting to catch up.
Apologies to CO's for not logging specifics about their cache.
We certainly appreciate all the effort cachers go to hide and maintain their caches.

Just a short drive from the centre of town and we had to contend with quite a number of muggles out walking their four-legged friends.

Cache found quickly but sad to note no other cacher from the event had bothered to search for these GCA's on the day.

Thanks Tigersden for hiding these GCA caches. Our 268th GCA cache find.

I was in Castlemaine with elthamkiwi for the big swap meet but it was such good weather that I rushed us through and quickly headed off caching, and Munzeeing and Ingressing. You get the picture Laughing .
I had noticed that two new GCA caches had popped up so they were to be first on the list.
This was a great little spot and we were enjoying the solitude and I couldn't think for the life of me why I was reminded of Xmas until it dawned on me that I was standing under (and smelling) a pine tree.

Took: FTF prize and a pathtag. Left: pathtag.

Cheers tigersden, thanks for the fun (and go clan Griffin Clan GriffinMr. Green ).

Found by Roma and Max.
Having just found you other nearby hide and then pausing at the highest point on this track to survey the surrounding countryside now being lit with street and house lights, quite a spectacular view this time of evening.
Thanks again Tigersden it has been a pleasure to find more of your hides today.
Regards,
from Romax.
