Description
A simple drive by cache.
This cache is hidden beside a path that goes under the bridge at the Detention River. There's plenty of parking just off the side of the highway at the Detention Reserve. The Detention River is tidal but the pathway is well above high tide level. Muggles often fish in the area so you may need to pick your moment.
When you spot the white rock you've reached GZ.

After leaving Stanley we stopped on the way back to locate this cache. It was good to catch up with the COs later in the day at Latrobe. Happy New Year. TFTC

A quick find. interesting cache container which I am sure will maintain a dry log.
We parked near the entrance to the boat ramp and walked down to the waters edge. Took the hard way to the walkway. . As soon as we got under the bridge, I said look there is a walkway. hence we took the walkway back to the vehicle. A very clever hide. TFTC

Quick park and grab cache
TFTC.
Took the longer way to walk to this cache, and then it took me quite a while to actually find cache.
Found this cache on a 2 day trip to the NW, covering over 1000 kms and finding around 100 caches of both GCA and GC

The last proper cache of the weekend was this one, myself and Tazscout both pulled over in the good parking spot and thanks to Tazscout having been here a couple of days before it was an easy task for me to find such a large cache.
I was adding my name to the log in no time at all and I had the cache replaced as found.
Thanks for a nice quick cache on the way home.

Walked straight to it....cache all good. Kids have strung up a swinging rope underneath to plunge into the depths...not this time of year though. Tftc cheers.
Found in the company of muggle Robyn on a NW Rice Custard trip.
Looked at the cache and didn't even realise until I took off my sunglasses.
Thanks for the cache!

We completed a full circle of GZ before spotting the hide. Must be getting rusty. Nice waterproof container though! Thanks Sharnie's Tribe.

Parked in the obvious spot and took the short walk. Took a minute to spot the hide, but all was good and the log was soon signed. An interesting container that I haven't seen used in a while. Fits nicely in the hide and was replaced ready for the next visitor.
Thanks Sharnie's Tribe....the first of a couple of yours found today.....from memory.

A quick find. No problems with muggles today, only the foolhardy and geocachers would be out on a day like today. Thanks, a nice hide.
the nearby GC cache was overrun with muggles but gz was quiet fot this one. I assumed it would be a bit further and had to backtrack. we have a similar container still in use! TFTC
Admittedly, this turned out to be a much nicer cache than we thought it would be as we arrived in a large, gravel parking area beside the highway surrounded by bushes... but a short walk later and a surprisingly pleasant GZ was revealed. It was dusk when we got there and the tide was out, leaving glassy-still pools of water under the bridge, reflecting a deep blue sky and black trees. Nice cache container too! Thanks sharnie's tribe!

Hi sharnie's
Made this a quick find but the replacement took some time as I enjoyed "a cup of tea!"
Great hide and memories of it will be "Detained at Detention."
TFTC and cheers

When Mrs y'stassie arrived home from embroidery earlier than expected, we thought that there was sufficient daylight left for us to look for the two new caches published by sharnie's tribe.
Having visited the cache at Boat Harbour, we continued on to Detention River. As described, there was excellent parking relatively close to GZ. A short walk and a very good hint led to a quick find of a very well designed cache - great container which should withstand the elements very well. The cache and contents were in good condition. Again we were surprised that we were the first to sign the log book. Hence we will claim FTF at 16:45. Thanks for another great cache sharnie's tribe.
