Meandering around the area before heading off to the St Arnaud Mega event. This is why I love caching so much. I would never have known about this except for the cache. Thanks for publishing it. FCSL Oh yes, I took the PT

I had not studied the small number of caches we selected so was most intrigued when we saw this from a distance. Everyone jumped out for a look. The egg and I read the information and the girls climbed on the rocks. Accurate coordinates led us straight to the cache. Thanks for placing a cache here to make sure we stopped.

Found by Team Ladava on a 200km loop up into the Heathcote area and back.
It is many years since we were last brought here by Geocaching but what an achievement for those involved to be the first.
Good old Ozzie ingenuity but on what a scale.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

Our thanks to TIGERSDEN for the cache and bringing us to this location.

School holidays meant arranging a break for the better half, so zombeefish was collected from the in-laws' after a nice dinner and we began our caching adventures from there.

As I hadn't yet visited the Burke and Wills sites on the back road (the aptly named Burke and Wills Track) through Lancefield and Mia Mia, this seemed the perfect opportunity to cover that part of the route...

A bonus cache here... I'd no idea this tribute existed until we pulled up. Thanks, tigersden.

Day 2 on the way to the Surf Coast Mega with LuckyL10n. We decided on the long way round to grab a few GCA caches....

Headed along the B&W trail and this was our next stop. LL had already scored this one a previous visit to the area, so it was just a find for me. No problems and the log was soon signed.

Thanks for the history lesson Tigersden....

#GA1017 - 10:50; I decided to make use of a spare day in Victoria with the geoteen to head north from Melbourne along the path taken by Burke and Wills (and others) to collect some more of the caches in that series. The plan was to reach Bendigo, then head on to Elmore before heading back to the big smoke. I'd collected my first for the day at Queens Park in Moonee Ponds, which had proved a bit of a nemesis cache for me until today. I was passing this cache on my run, so dropped by to make the find, along with the nearby GC multi. Enjoyed learning a bit of local history as well. TFTC tigersden Very HappyClan Cerberus

Oh the flies!! We were on the brink of abandoning the hunt because of all the wretched flies ... but we found the little gem in the end! Super stuff. Smile

First one for me, woohoo!! hadn't been found in a while.

I had intended to attend Intervening Days and complete some maintenance and collect a couple of caches along the way. It all took a bit longer than expected and I never quite got there. Instead I looped around Kyneton and back to Bendigo picking up a few caches from both sites along the way.

An interesting monument - it looks much better than it used to. TFTC Tigersden

I am well behind on logging caches, attempting to catch up.
Apologies to CO's for not logging specifics about their cache.
We certainly appreciate all the effort cachers go to hide and maintain their caches.

We stopped here a few months ago on a GC mission. Today we returned for a GCA mission.

This was a fairly quick find although the gps insisted I look along the fence line and that filled a few seconds before heading for a more obvious spot.

Thanks tigersden
