For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in borders and border markers. This interest extends to survey markers like trig stations and this extends to a love of all things about maps. The image I’ve logged is of me standing at a border gate between Israel and Jordan. I’m on the Jordan side of the Ytzchak Rabin crossing. After a visit to the West Bank I headed north to the borders of Syria and Lebanon. The only border makers you get up there are multilingual ‘land mine’ signs. I’m unlikely to forget my time in this region.
Thanks for the cache.

Was on a road trip from Gawler to Perth and stopped the night at the border Village on day 2 of my journey. I snuck around the quarantine station to get a cache in WA even though i did not have any fruit on me hahaha. TFTC doodle bug oz

We’re currently enjoying a few days break in The Granite Belt in Qld and visited Wallangarra - right on the Qld/NSW border... but it’s in Qld
In the background of first photo we can see the State police road-block checking all travellers coming into the State because of the current Covid-19 restrictions.
The State Border crosses the Wallangarra train station platform.
Thanks for the cache.

Crossing the border into South Australia on a crazy GC 3 Events in 3 States in one day. Having had breakfast in NSW, we are now heading into SA for lunch, before returning to Vic for our evening meal.

Today I was working and had a couple of hours down time in Swan Hill between drop-off and pick-up. I parked near my grandmother's old house in Pritchard St and walked into town for a cuppa and a few GCA cache finds. This was the fourth of four GCA "finds" on a very rainy day.
The sign shows the "Welcome to Vic" and "Welcome to Swan Hill" signs.
Thanks Doodle Bug Oz

Just found this locationless and we have been crossing borders all over the place while we have been travelling to and from Alice Springs. This location shows Mr W standing on the NSW side of the SA/NSW border crossing at Cockburn.

This is the welcome sign on the southern side of the bridge at Koondrook in northern Victoria.
The Wench and I spent the day wandering around the countryside north-west of Echuca chasing a few caches and crossed back into Mexico via the Barham-Koondrook crossing over the Murray River.
The sign is currently within a fenced off area and the safety barriers sit right at the road edge. My Prado is visible in the background of the photo.

Crossing the SA/ WA border- we knew it was coming and we had 12 mandarins and 6 bananas to consume - it was an effort but we only surrendered 1 mandarin- we certainly met our fruit requirements for the day.

We went caching down around Killarney at the weekend and had some fun taking photos at the border. There is a GC cache right here too.

Hebel
The state border is just past Hebel & not far from a paddock of saltbush. Pretty dry out here. I was on my way home & as I had already been to Moree took a right at St.George.

After leaving the Stanthorpe Mega we came to this border crossing, solely because we didn't turn at Legume as we should have......but it was worth it, we got two caches here and it wasn't far to backtrack to the right turn.

This is the border crossing from Queensland into South Australia. The bitumen in Qld finishes just a hundred metres or so from here but you have to travel a long way in SA to find any bitumen; hundreds of kilometres in fact; probably Lyndhurst at the bottom of the Strzelecki Track.
Crossing the border from ACT into NSW on the way to nabbing a cache just over the border from Pacmania's Old Fed series of 8 caches. I ran an event at 12:12 on 12-12-12 called "Five Dozen" and had planned to locate it near here (S35 12, E149 12) but unfortunately there wasn't really a suitable event location in the area, nevermind it was a treat to be back here today.
Thanks for locationless fun though Doodle Bug Oz.

Victorian South Australian border crossing. We last went that way in March 2012 when these photos were taken, but we are about to go through again next month. Can't wait! TFTL
Perhaps not quite the border crossing you had in mind Doodle Bug Oz as its a little different to the normal border crossing. Hope it is acceptable.

The photo added to the Gallery shows Mrs y'stassie at the Victoria/New South Wales border on the Monaro Highway as we headed north to Canberra for Anzac Day 2012. Thanks for the cache Doodle Bug Oz.
Haha, would you look at that? A *FTF*?!?
Had to jump over the border into NSW this morning, to go to work. Little did i realize, public holidays meant that i'd get to work in about double the normal time, so i had some time spare, so i grabbed this, a mere 300m or so away from where i was working!!
