Description
One in a series of Moveable Caches designed to head to each of the State and Territories........this one is for Tasmania.
Hopefully, once collected from its starting co-ords, the cache can make its way to the intended location and then travel around visitng some of the local sights, while being found by as many cachers as possible. If you aren't going to the location the cache needs to go to, please feel to log a find.......but maybe leave it in location for someone who may be be travelling that way.
Please don't hold onto the cache for more then a few days....let it 'move' around.

Down and ready to go again. Dropped a pathtag in as we left it.
Out for some caching with Black Bunny and we decided to grab this one as we passed by.
A quick find here today.

Over in South Australia with Just a cacher for Christmas duties with the in-laws and we decided to head out and grab a cache or two while we were here.

Thanks for the cache Sol de lune.
The cache log is wet so we will replace it before we hide it again.

Perched along the edge of Mount Lofty Summit Road.
We were on a moving cache mission today, taking advantage of the mild weather to get Mrs J's mum out of the house.
This cache was a quick find, and there was another moveable inside of it (GA11997), so we got two finds for the price of one.
Nice to find this one, after our failed attempt last year. We'll take it back home before re-releasing somewhere new soon.
Thanks Sol de lune.

Periodically the Geocaching Australia review team checks moveable caches that haven’t been found or moved in over 90 days.
This moveable fits that brief, however reading previous logs the cache could still be at the posted co-ords, just sitting there waiting for the next finder to give it a go.
So, if you’re in area why not stop by and maybe help it on its way.

Although the mud is not as bad as last time, decided to park and walk to the cache. Quite a few changes since my last visit to the area: a formal tent site, pump house and a moving tribute. The view is stunning as always. Quick find, thank you!

We drove within 15 metres of this cache, but a group of campers were set up right next to it. They all took a pause from their drinking to watch us, as we drove past their camp site.
We approached from the north down a steep descent, and exited south via the now-dry track.
Hopefully this will be picked up by crane2 once the bogans have vacated the area.

Moved - but already picked up and heading south with another cacher.
This little guy popped into my house with Fitzy. Great to have a chance to discover him.
Woohooo.. not a lot of Moveable activity this time of year, but a flurry today resulted in some newbies to this area. TFTC!
This one is a little north at the moment, but should head south again soon
#GA1997 - 14:00; I saw this cache had been reincarnated in the ACT, so stopped off and did the pick up on the way home from an appointment in the city. The hint wasn't much help, but an expanded search in the general area soon resulted in a find, although I wasn'tr game to open the plastic bag I located during the hunt! Nice to claim another in the series. TFTC Sol de lune

Have placed a new cache here in Canberra and all is good to go again.
Again, thanks to all who have taken an interest in this one. I could have simply archived it and started again, but when the cache is a moveable, and part of a small series, my thoughts are that as it can easily be re-listed, albeit in a different location....that's what should happen.
I'm sure it can make it's ways to Tasmania again soon.
Cache on....

Looks like it might gone. Bummer. However as a moveable the good thing is I can relocate it so it isn't lost for good, so I will 'move' it to Canberra and release a new cache here. This way the dZ points that are on it aren't lost and the cache can continue it's journey. It's also means that the series of moveables for each state that I have released over the years wont be broken. The mission will still be to get back to Tasmania and with the amount of travellers that come through Canberra, that probably wont be a problem.
Thanks to those who have taken an interest in this one. I'll move it shortly.....

We bought this cache to Tassie and if I remember, it was a small sistema container with magnets. Definitely not there as anything stuck to the green box would be very obvious.
This does not sound good. It's a magnetic cache and we stuck it to the side of the green metal box. It was right down at ground level, so was totally out of sight but if they've whipper snipped the area, it would have been found.
We had a good look around for this moveable as we headed to Launceston for a pirate event. The hint is very specific. There is a large green box which now has no grass around it at all, everything has been cut short so nowhere to hide anything. The only long tussock of grass had been pulled out of the ground, we gave it a good shake but nothing appeared. I think the cache has disappeared!

Had a look on the way past today but could not it.

As the cacher who hid it last, I'm a bit concerned as I would have thought it was only at risk if they had a big maintenance push in the area. I checked on it some weeks (possibly early March?) after I hid it and it was still there then. Will try and check again but haven't been down the Highway for a while.
Great to see the May-tenance is being taken on by many cachers, but in this case one DNF doesn't mean a cache is actually missing and needs archiving.
As the CO for this one, I'd like to wait and see if there are more DNF's before any action is taken.
Have spoken with the cacher who logged this NA, and all is good.

Had a good look around, but unfortunately was unable to find the moveable cache.
Was going to leave this one on a guard rail but realised that no guard rail on the Midland Highway is safe any-more so have left it in a more retired location. Still a bit vulnerable if they decide to whipper-snip the area but hopefully will be OK as it doesn't look like much maintenance happens across the bridge.
Out and about for the Summer Scavenger Series 2016 and this was one we needed for our criteria.

The Moveable around Tasmania is hidden near the Southern Outlet just above Kingston, Tasmania.
Hi Sol de lune
Had tried to collect this cache once before whilst on the NW Coast of Tasmania, but had been beaten to the find on that occasion.
A short drive from Huonville to Mangalore had me find and Saint the cache at 1112hrs this morning.
TFTC and cheers

Got this cache back out and waiting for a new adventure. Removed from looking at the ocean and the traffic, to looking at the Tamar River, the Supply River and a little bit of traffic.
This cache was surprisingly hard to hide. It didn't seem to matter at what location I pulled up to hide it, a muggle car would pull up right next to me; for no obvious reason that I could see. Perhaps they were abusing me for interfering in their cache hide?!
All very strange!

Out again to continue the journey around Tassie.
We have been watching this cache since it first entered the state. We were surprised that it has been in place for the last six days without being picked up. So, when we got to Hobart early this evening we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. The cache will continue its tour of Tassie in the North West - should be out in a few days. Thanks Sol de Lune.
It has been on a bit of a journey with us, but finally got dropped off not far from home.
Collected from Lauderdale shortly after dark not long after the misty rain had started. Will move on in the near future.
It made it to Tasmania.....excellent work. Many thanks, now I hope it can travel around a bit.
Back out. Come on Tassie cachers let's move this moveable around Tasmania.
QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
I had the chance to see this moveable when it was placed. Thanks.
