Out for a drive to enjoy the sunshine with Just a cacher. A quick find here today and the cache is all good.

Thanks for the cache projectkamikaze but I wonder if it is wise to use this GZ with the local hazards present.

We found A cache but not sure WHICH cache. The cache we found was inside a powered lamp post, in a decidedly risky spot, and the container had no identifying information on or in it. Plus, our GPSrs said it was 22 metres from ground zero. It was the only thing we could see that looked anything like the hint so we investigated.

With three events and a weekend off I decided on heading over to Canberra to attempt the ‘Most cache types in a day challenge’. After arriving Friday night and having a great night sleep, it was morning and I headed off to find the caches between the motel and the first event. It was a great drive across the country side picking up the finds plus the caches at both parts of the rest area where the first event was held. A fun little event for everyone to meet and greet before heading into Canberra for the CITO. Next, it was time for the CITO plus claiming the find on nearby virtual cache. After the CITO, I was up to 7 cache types already. Big Grin Then, it head off to find a WIG and LB to add the next two types to the list before heading to the final event. At the final event, I had a delicious Chicken Snitty and spoke all things Geo with the other attendees. Finally it was time to get a mystery cache to make it 11 for the day. Big Grin Just before heading back to my motel I passed by the GCA History series along the Anzac Parade. I may head out and find some caches around Queanbeyan tonight before heading to bed. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. Was attending a nearby event and noticed some people signing GreyHams Wherigo nearby.
Sui_001 chimes in and says "Hang on I thought the Wherigo was over there?"

We wander over and low behold, there is another cache!

Seems some people have mistaken this cache for the Wherigo nearby....!

Thanks for the GCA Smile Never knew this existed!

Found this one today after attending an event nearby.
Thanks for the placement.

Signed this one today not actually knowing what GC/GCA it belonged to. Was attending an event nearby and seen a few others checking out this locations, we FFLL and myself wandered over and put our names in the log. Then the search begun to identify what it belonged to. Thanks for the hide

Found during my adventures at the Clear Waters mega. Thank you for all the caches!

Nice one! I had to kick it and it fell open before I realised where it was.

Reading the name we thought we had an idea of where the cache would be hidden but the GPSr was pointing about 12m away, we trusted our instincts and located the cache quickly. Took note of the information and returned the cache quickly between waves of muggles heading for the Easter Egg hunt at Old Parliament House.

Thanks for the hide projectkamikaze.

that was a good one! so creepy though...
I turned up at dusk and as I walked toward where I thought it might be hiding, something started to glow and flicker ever closer I got. After that small distraction I found where GZ really was and figured out how to retrieve the cache.

I was in the area for a meetup walk/coffee, and probably now should be home doing stuff... but I saw a possible spot to hide a cache, and while checking if it was too close to anything (yes, probably) I noticed there was a GC cache near here, that i had not found, and a few GA caches.
TFTC... a few moments of confusion, and a quick read of previous logs, and i spotted something that reminded me of a cache I found in Cambodia... very similar hide, but at least what I was looking for was visible as soon as i looked in tge right spot - that other one required a bit of a leap of faith to put my hand into a slightly dodgy/dangerous looking hole and feel for it - lol

Parked nearby and walked across to the coordinates. Couldn't find it anywhere so read previous logs and the hint. Moved to a new location and soon had CIH. SL TFTC

I finally found this cache. I had looked there before, but hadn't been able to access it, even skinning my knuckles in the attempt. Someone else has appeared to have provided more force than I did and the outer barrier is open. The coordinates are twenty metres out. Not sure about the hide legitimacy, but I found and signed the log. TFTC projectkamikaze.

Surprised it was quiet here this morning. Made for an easy find with fitzy_1965. Clever hide too!

GCA 1931. Found this one early this morning with minniek.

We were pretty lucky that it was fairly quiet when we were here. Knowing it was out a bit we went straight to the obvious spot for a quick find - awesome !

Thanks ProjectKamikaze !!

The coordinates were a bit out but the hint helped. I was fooled by the obvious opening which turned out to be quite easy.

Found on a chilly and breezy morning. After parking in a very empty carpark, I quickly dashed over to GZ for a very quick find. Great hide, however I agree with others in that it may not be totally legal. Lovely park area to visit - however it was too cold to stay today! TFTC projectkamikaze! Clan Cerberus

29/29 today.

Arrived at GZ and the hint became very obvious... on another hint-like object I saw something.. but I went to the more likely position and turned.. nothing came out

I looked around, made sure nobody was around and moved the greater part.. oh... there's a cache.. that's um.. probably not "legal"

Oh well. Nice hide all the same!

TFTC PK!

That was a tricky little hide. Found amongst the falling autumn leaves. Thanks.

Collecting clues for the Tourist Tour cache, we were in the right place to also collect this cache. It was too hard for me,but luckily my other half was more persistent. I will have to look into the rest of the caches in this series.

15-Jun-15
On my way home from a bit of Qeanbeyan caching I saw this on the edge of my GPS, so I had to stop for a look. GZ was a bit off, but the clue helped. Nice hole, I hope it is unused.

Thanks

Attended a nearby world wide flash mob event with LuckyL10n. We then headed over to locate this cache. Our first port of call at GZ didn't seem to be able to give up anything so we moved on. One to the next and then we ended up back where we started with LuckyL10n. This time being a little more persistent and the voila! Log signed, cache replaced and off we went.
Thanks for the cache.

Wow bucky! This one is 18m out! - Luckily the clue helped... Not sure if that is a legal hide but Smile Thanks PKK.

#GA545 - 11:20; Dropped by with MrDamage after the WWFM XII - Mad Hatter's Tea Party event (GC5TT5X) this morning. The coords put us close, but wasn't sure after my first try at the likely hide. Checked out some other possibilities close by to no avail. Returned to the original suspect and soon had cache in hand on the second attempt. TFTC projectkamikaze, looking forward to doing the finale soon Very Happy

This one was next on the list for a short night recce. I identified the hide rather quickly, but did the PAF thing to make sure it was OK to go there. Turns out it was all good. Coords were a little way off but the hint sealed the deal.

20-May-15
I decided to give this a shot while 'cache-cruising' the area. I had the coordinates at about 15 or so metres away from the the indicated GZ as well but once at the real GZ, a bit of fidgeting and maneuvering had me with the cleverly concealed stash in hand at 21:10.

TNLNSL photographed clue. Thanks projectkamikaze.

07-May-15
Wandered around here for a while, but the GZ co-ords didn't want to show me anywhere to hide a small container. Increased the search to include what was suggested, and the cache was soon in hand. Not sure about the hide....but it seemed ok at the time of my visit. This one had me 16 metres from GZ, so something for future searchers to remember.

Thanks for another one....not for the final.

Ok. I seen the notification and raced out of work to make the find.

When I found the cache, and log it, there was a name already in the log, but it doesn't appear to be a cacher name, but a real name.

So am I FTF or not?

Anyway, took pictures of all the clues. Very interesting.
