Description

A short walk, with 2 WP's to visit before you arrive at GZ....

At the posted co-ords, which is an information maker with 5 information panels/plaques describing things you need to know about the area........answer these question to find WP2:

A = The last number in the 6 digit phone number on the "Green" panel/plaque

B = Number of words on the "Dog" panel/plaque

C = Number of ecidnas on the "Green" panel/plaque

D = Number of letters in the last word of the "Cyclists" panel/plaque....-1

E = Number of human figures on the "Dog" panel/plaque

F = Total number of bolts/rivets affixing both the "Dog"  and "Cyclists" panels/plaques to the post.

WP2 can now be calcualted as:

S35 23.ABC E149 07.DEF

At WP2, using the big bright (with black writing) 4 digit number as WXYZ, the cache GZ can be calculated as:

S35 23.Y (W+X+Y+Z) ([W*Y]-1)

E 149 07. (Y*Y) Z (W+Y)

All should be good, and hopefully you find the cache...which is a large, but empty (except for the log book and a few trinkets) power tool case.

Extra congratulations if you know the name of the homestead/farm building that use to stand in the general area east of WP2 (which is towards GZ).

Enjoy your walk in the area.......

had a good search for this one, but unfortunately, it couldn't be found. looks like someone's garden clippings have taken over and the area is infested with a vine, oh and bamboo too.

A nice wander before the day got too warm. Gathered the information OK, then a walk to GZ. Ended up on the wrong side of the fence, but got around then found the cache. Log is very wet but managed to make a mark on a random page that I could get to.

Thanks,

Found this while on a walk through the area. We were initially on the wrong side of the fence at GZ but managed to correct that and made a quick find. As previous finders mentioned the log is saturated but we took photos as proof of our visit. thanks for the cache!

It was a nice short walk revisiting this old road. A large rabbit was guarding the cache when I arrived and I think we were both startled by each other. For such a large cache, it is well hidden. Unfortunately, the container was full of water. The logbook was sodden and probably destroyed. I could not sign the book and as this was an opportunistic expedition, I did not have my usual geocaching supplies. So I took a photo of the cache to prove my find if necessary. Very Happy

Found on a very early morning GCA run before going to the movies on a hot summer day. This GCA has been on the checklist for quite a while, so it was great to finally find it today! After some easy solves at each of the two waypoints, the cache was found after a reasonably short search at GZ. Great area of history to revisit. TNLNSL. TFTC SdL! Clan Cerberus

GCA 1254 - 14107. I was in the area and thought it was a good time to try this GCA Multi.

Grabbed the required info at WPs 1 and 2, and with GZ calculated it was a quick walk to GZ - and bit of down and under - and the cache was in hand ! Nice. Container is a bit wet but all good for now. Not sure about the old beer can in the cache - although I'm sure the CO has had a few of these over the years !

TFTC !!

#GA846 - 17:00; I returned this afternoon for a second attempt on this one after running out of time on my last attempt. I'd also checked with the CO in the intervening period to ensure I'd collected the correct information, which was confirmed. I headed back today and located the cache about 10cm from where I had been searching on the previous visit. It appears some spring growth has added a little to the difficulty of the search at GZ. All good today though and the log is now signed. TFTC Sol de lune Very HappyClan Cerberus

Sorry sacada....but there is no number at WP1 to find. That's WP2. You're looking for a signpost at WP1/posted co-ords...

Nice quick find on a chilly morning. Nice area around here. Thanks SDL.

After spotting a few new GCA caches on the web site, I thought I would take a look. This was the first. The WPs were soon sorted and I was off to GZ. Lots of fences along the way, but I managed to make my way with only one crossing required.
So that's how one cleans out ones shed! Clapping
A nice quick find, a *FTF* at 1634hrs. That was ok. Might try another one.
Thanks Sdl for the cache. Yes, I like a good multi too, but no extra points for me today. You will have to educate me.
