Going to the Theatre, Movies or Entertainment Event

My wife and I are avid Theatre go'ers and we were looking through the programmes we have collected over the years, and wondered what other shows are out their that we and others maybe interested in seeing.

This cache is locationless and the rules are you post a photo that must either show the programme or yourself in the theatre / cinema.

You can also advise if you enjoyed the show

This is something a little different, when my parents passed away one of the things found in storage was a bunch of memorabilia from the theatre days, apparently my great grandmother Marguerite Roche was quite a star on the stage and musicals around the 1890s in London which is when this program would be from. She ended up marrying Sir Harry Greer who was briefly an MP and later chairman of the Baird Television Company, making a broadcast to shareholders in 1934 by TV, so well before anything happened here! A look back at the past.

About a fortnight before his birthday, my husband expressed a desire to go see a local theatre show. Fancy that, one is advertised in the local paper that week and it's written and directed by our good friend and ex-neighbour! Though the show was two months after the actual birthday, we had a wonderful time watching not one, but two performances in the Traralgon Little Theatre. The first show was a hilarious comedy, The Soiree, and the second was a drama/thriller called Snakebite and its plot makes us worry a little about the fellow we used to live next to. We will definitely be theatre-goers much more frequently now that our children are old enough for us to leave them at night with babysitters. TFTC Grumbligrot

Hi Grumbligrot
Love going to live theatre; often attending 'The Theatre Royal, and 'The Playhouse', both in Hobart.
The Playhouse is in Bathurst St, Hobart, Tasmania.
Currently playing at 'The Playhouse' is "Guys and Dolls" - great show.

Attended the stage production of a we saw call....The War Horse. The movie was great but the stage production was excellent. Well worth the effort to get down to Melbourne to the Arts Centre to see it. A great night out.

Not theatre as such, but pretty darn close. In March we saw the foo fighters at the Derwent entertainment centre. Then a week later Billy Connolly

08-Aug-15
Here we are at the movies with our 3D glasses on at IMAX Theatre, Darling Harbour.

We saw Beowulf, an animated movie of a popular Norse legend. Visually, the film was fantastic. But it's very violent with lots of blood and guts. Not a great movie but an entertaining one.

Thanks Grumbligrot
