Description

This is one of a number of caches that we are putting out for the Winter Games.

This is a very popular area for RV owners as it provides free camping for self-contained vehicles. It can become quite crowded on some evenings. Beyond the camping area is a reserve extending northwards with excellent views and a variety of coastal flora including she-oaks. This cache has been hidden in one of the she-oaks.

The cache is a 2L sistem container painted in cammo colours to help it blend into the environment. It contains a logbook, pen and a variety of swaps.

Lots of man-made penguin homes here! Thankfully the clue was a give away and we kept well away from their homes. TFTC!

Found today whilst showing some friends all about geocaching. Easy find was made by our muggle friends. Returned as found. TFTC.

A true gem of a spot.

found this one on our way back from burnie today, upon arrival at ground zone were confronted by the cache container as per the hint, we quickly signed the log before the muggles in the area spotted us, quickly placed the container back into the hiding place and off we were to go find the next cache. As we were passing by this morning we stopped in to check the cache and replace the container. There were still a lot of vans and motor homes in the area but no-one on the walking track. We we were able to replace the container without muggle problems. It is now a 1L sistema.

Thanks Tronador for alerting us to the cracked container.

This is a penguin breeding area. So amazing to see so many burrows and penguin guano but no penguins home today. I found the cache in the open and one half is quite cracked. I put the cache higher in the tree out of site but it could do with a bit of maintenance. Thanks , I'm thrilled to have found another penguin spot.

Easy find. I saw penguin holes and a penguin. TFTC 2y'stassies.

This was another of those caches that I had driven past a few times now, but today as I was head back to Penguin I had time to stop off and have a search for this one, I was with a workmate and he was amazed at the size of the cache.

I soon added my name to the logbook and rehide the cache as found.

Thanks for the cache.

Today we visited this area finding caches that had been published since our last visit.

A quick find here - cache and contents in good condition.

The usual caching lesson was learnt here....never just go instinct...as that is bound to trip you up occasionally. Took a minute, but the cache was safely in hand and the log signed. Seems to be lots of free camping sites along the highway here.....good to see, I think.

3 out of 3 so far 2y'stassies...thanks.

That déjà vu feeling again! Another visit to this magical spot, having stopped here nearly 12 months ago. Only 3 caravans left by the time we got there. Good coordinates led us to the right area and we obviously judged the right height well as we spotted it despite being well hidden. TFTC

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.

Today we had a casual start to the day. After lunch we headed over to Ulverstone to do some shopping but of course we found a few caches along the way!

Such a lovely coast line. Big Grin

A quick find after we checked the hint and stopped looking so low (Mrs 2y's isn't THAT short)
Left behind a scout, took nothing although we did have a quick play with the helicopter Wink

With GPS all over the place Mrs Landy pulled back and used her eyes and woo hoo an easy find was made. No need to tackle a bush bash. TFTC. Very Happy

As we pulled up at this one another car was parked there so we thought we may have had a muggle problem. We didn't spot the occupants though and suspect that they were down on the beach where we could see a fire. The cache was quickly located and Mr Beetle finally worked out how to use the watch toy. He wanted to take it but as we hadn't come with any swaps I wouldn't let him!!! Thanks.

This was the quickest find in this series of four. Helps when you have an idea of the actual height involved in the hint! Wink No other signatures in the logbook so another FTF to us. TFTC
