Description
Monty
Monty the monitor has a mission. Released in Armadale Western Australia, he wants to visit every state and territory in Australia. He isn't too fussy about how long it takes ... that's why he's a GCA movable instead of a GC trackable. He likes urban bushland locations, and doesn't mind hiding in plain view if the location and background permit.

Finally moving this one, Handed on to another cacher TFTMC
This one was located with many other moveables having a party in our work office after being dropped off by Whitewebbs. This is a cool Moveable and will have them all back out as soon as possible. TFTMC
Had a nice visit from a cacher down south that was caching up in the north recently for the Mystery Madness winter games. Was kind enough to drop a lot of friends they had with them. TFTM

Hi Firnsy
A very early start to today
Met up with Budge and headed toward Launceston
Our main objective for the day was Rocherlea Trail
But on the way we would get those that were accessable
Half way through the walk we contacted the CO who met up with us and then our plans changed and we had anjoyable afternoon in the good company of Icybeetas
Really good to meet you today Ian - Thanks for sharing you arvo with us
For the day I netted 33 caches and a heap of moveables to boot
That effort saw me walk 10.40 kilometres
This cache was found quickly - it was Sainted when I met Icybeetas

It was my intention to look for caches in the Trevelyan Reserve. I made a quick find and will move on soon.

Had to go to Launceston today for a family event today so took the remaining caches that had landed on our doorstep and tried to get them all back out again
This moveable cache was one of a group in a bag that arrived on our doorstep. This will help our tally in the Blitz game we hope, moving them all out again will be a big job but all part of the fun. We'll get them out again in the next couple of days. Thanks for the cache
Found a bag of moveable's today in the hands of DEZ055. Signed these after our walk along the Dooleys Heritage Trail. TFTM
Found this whilst out and about with Trimbletas in search of GCA caches to get us on the board for the blitz games. TFTC

Moved this one to the Mount Direction area while working up this way. Will attach photo of old log when i get home later.
Thanks for replacing the log DEZ055 ... no need to send me the old one, but if you want to add a photo of it to the cache gallery, that would be cool.
The Log Roll in this one was full so i have replaced it with a fresh one, if the cache owner would like the log roll that is full could you please contact me to get it sent to you.
Was out and about for a drive last night and we ventured down Lobster Creek road to find some moveables that had recently been hidden, Accurate coordinance and a familiar hiding place soon had this cache in hand, will have these at the Tackling Dooleys event if anyone is coming to grab these off me or will move them on the monday. TFTM

After finishing some Christmas shopping we headed up to the Trevallyn reserve to hide a few moveable caches we've had with us for a few days, happy travelling
Attended a CITO in Devonport this morning and found a box of moveable caches that definitely weren't rubbish. So to avoid them getting mixed up with anything else we grabbed them and will move along to new homes as soon as possible. TFTC
After trying to escape several times while we were on the mainland Monty was pleased to be released. he did not find the weather to be to his liking so left with another caching team.
Discovered in the hands of 2y'stassies at the Saturday night event of the St Arnaud mega. Awesome moveable design - thanks for sharing!

At the end of the event this was one of the moveables I ended up with. Next it to find a place to hide it for the next finder. As the game ends they may be further apart between finds. Thanks for the moveable which was one of 101 that made their way to Ebenezer. Good luck on any further moves
The latest Geocaching Australia game runs from 01-Dec-2018 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2019 23:59:59 AEST
For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a ground tile and reveal what lies beneath.
A moving cache, by nature, may have been moved since you last determined its location. It may have been picked up but not yet rehidden so it's considered 'in-transit'. There is no foolproof method of determining where a cache is simply by the log types that have been placed against the cache.

Headed up to Ebenezer with LuckyL10n to attend the Aussie Day event. 45 degree day made for a bit of a fun trip, however it was pleasant in the winery building. A good few hardy souls were in attendance as well as over 100 moveables. Some good conversation with cachers not met before and a good couple of hours was had by all. The trip home was a little different to what was expected but turned out ok....
Thanks to all the CO's for the caches...

Called into Tizzana Winery to buy some wine and saw the moveables and the list. The family wanted to continue on so said "Hi" to a few we'd previously met then headed on with some wine. Diolch for the moveable. I didn't pick up any.

Attended the 'Australia Day Moveable Event 2018' and came face to face with other like minded cachers, one being another lucky (luckyl10n) and 101 moveables in the area. Many thanks to the CO's who have published them over time and others who bought them together for the event.

Found this one at the Australia Day Moveable Event 2018 event held at Tizzana Winery in Ebenezer. Another fantastic turnout at the event run for the current 2018/19 Journey or Destination game being run on Geocaching Australia which saw a total of 101 moveables come together. Thanks for sharing.

Had an early mark from work so what do you do to soak up the time – GO CACHING – completed a trig & came to claim this 1. WOW doing caching on a Saturday arvo – early evening can be exciting in summer as many people are around. A couple were seated on the seats above GZ – this didn’t bother me as this is a moveable – need to find the sucker & leave. WOW easy said then done. GPS 5 metres out but hint looked good, put my hand in many spots but no micro found. So, I went on a walk, well couple figured this place wasn’t as romantic as it should be & left. YES – off they went – I went for my walk & let the GPS do its work, lead me to the same location, this time as I had no eyes on me I did a Forer search & came up with the goods. That’s why I hat suburban areas & LOVE the bush to my caching, any way a moveable found to move on to new location. Too much time spent in this location

Moved the cache to this location. Where very few GA caches are in this region. Hopefully my location I placed it cannot be affected by flooding. Note it may be out by a couple of meters or so due to the trees. But this is an unmistakeable large tree.
Monty has found another tree; a Redwood Tree (Sequoia).
Found you at last Monty ! I DNFed you some time ago. Apparently you had wandered away from GZ 30 metres , and I didn't didn't search far enough for you. But Decrypter and I located you this time at home at your new GZ. A very nice old gumtree too. Now I will look for a new home for you.
Thanks for sharing the very cute Monty, Firnsy.

thought the location was spot on but couldnt check all relevant hidey holes. if its there, it will have to wait for someone taller
I had to wait for ages to retrieve this one while a muggle sat in an idling truck facing it from 20 m away. I retrieved him with a stick since only the tip of his tail was showing and I may have been mistaken.
I have moved him to a more muggle free area in accordance with his preference for urban bushland. He is now located in a magnificent old yellow box that has survived many traumas and provides a home for some interesting wildlife.

GCA 1308 - 14358.
I was driving past this one and remembered seeing the DNF from Goldenwattle, so I stopped for a good look around. I found Monty over on the other side of the road about 30m from its GZ. I have now relocated him for safety.
TFTC !! Glad to have rescued him !

I didn't find Monty at the coordinates. I did though find the other GA cache here, "The Dog" which shared the same coordinates. It was raining, so I didn't spend a lot of time; just went to the coordinates at the 'obvious' place. A DNF!
