Out for a lovely afternoon drive grabbing a few caches. Have been some big branches down in this area. Someone will be pleased about the potential future firewood. Performed some community maintenance. Thanks for the cache
Looked for this one which is across the road from a gc. Confident that it has gone missing so it has been replaced with plasticware from a garage sale.
With the country going into lockdown & meat / chicken / rice & dunny paper in short supply I figured it was time to go for a caching run & drop of some movables & complete some caches, needed to clear my head as job insecurity is of real concern & I had enough of the bullshit – so cache on – this was the 8th 1 completed after dropping off the movables. I very much enjoyed the drive today – many thanks for showing the area to me – cache found nicely - 2 for the $ of 1 visit a GC cache across the road completed also

I almost DNFed this one. The mentioned tree has chopped wood about it. I think a branch must have come down. I decided to move a heap of small twiggy branches and there was the hidden cache. My GPS was out 25 metres and showed: S34° 45.507' E148° 56.899'. Then I was off to find the cache opposite. TFTC Tanso.

With a day off in hand, I wanted to take the opportunity to go caching which had been decided a few days ago. This morning, I opened up my emails and I noticed that there was a new cache which oddly didn’t have any finds on it. What was even weirder, this new cache is in the heart of FTF hound country. Given I was already planning on caching in that area, I thought I would change up my driving route, so I could give myself the best chance of make the FTF. I knew I had about 2hrs of driving to get to GZ, so I drove in hope that I would get there before anyone else. I left Temora about 7:50am, arriving at the GZ parking area at 9:37am (a little less than 2hrs) and at 9:40am had the CIH. But, was it a FTF? I opened the cache and next the log-book. After a quick flip through it became clear I was the FTF! Once I signed and replaced the cache, I turned around and was greeted by an amazing view of the area. Next, I decided to find some newer caches that has popped up since 2016 and avenge some past DNF’s around the area. I made 10 finds before lunch and after lunch I decided on hitting the ‘Tanso’ trail plus a few lone caches along the way, which added another 14 finds to the total. Only three DNF’s, well two and one NA. All found caches today, ended up being quick finds which left me wondering how, I could DNF the caches last time. I felt a bit like a [:o)]. TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring joy to me and the rest of the Geocaching community. TFTC’s

Joolay and I had set our sights on the caches out here to earn more points for the current game. Most were relatively easy finds, maintenance was done on some but all logs were signed. Thanks for the caches. Cache was returned to its hidey hole.

Found with Smittengranny out and about chasing GA caches for the game. We started early and headed to this cache then out to the trigs nearby and back to Yass. Had a great day and enjoyed being out on a beautiful if quite hot day. Cache in good order though the coords were a little out. But what an amazing view. Fabulous

We hadn't checked the hint for this cache so spent quite some time searching the area 25m uphill from the actual hide before one of us thought where would we put it and moved down hill where we were able to locate the well hidden box. Container and contents were in good condition.
While we were searching a concerned local, seeing our Tassie number plates stopped to ask if we were OK. After assuring her we were she moved on and we returned to the search.
We took a series of readings and found the east coordinate to be spot on but the decimal south was closer to .506. Fortunately the hint was accurate.
Thanks for the cache Tanso we really enjoyed the views from this area particularly the one straight down the road.

I was looking in the wrong spot until I checked the hint. Maybe the coords are a bit out. Anyway, found all OK. Went and checked in on my cache across the road before leaving.

Quick find with Black Bunny in the dark. Nice evening for a drive. Thanks, Tanso!
A nice drive in the country with the CO to grab some caches for me and check on a few things for her. The weather was freezing and I found myself entertaining her at times while looking for her hides. Cant believe although I provided the transport, she said I was on my lonesome for the searching. I got the job done here and we were off to the next one.
Grabbed this one before it wandered across the road.

Found 10:44am. I was out on a caching run with LuckyL10n and his partner and friend. As I hadn't yet found this I jumped out near GZ and went to find the cache.. The hide was fairly easy to spot. I signed the log and returned the cache back to its hiding spot. The cache was right near a GC cache. Two for the price of one almost. Hopefully they survive for a some time. Grabbed a photo too.
Thanks for the cache.

Found it....but of course I grabbed the other one first until I realised it was the GC cache that is located here as well. No proximity rules on GCA, but it might be better placed another 20 metres away to avoid the wrong log being signed. Just my thoughts....
Anyway, I signed the GCA one, checked the views....look, there is rain coming, better get my skates on....and then set off for the next one.
Thanks Tanso....did enjoy the re-visit all the same.

#GA676 - 16:55; After a successful day of caching in the Illawarra yesterday with Sol de lune, today was a solo run to Yass to check out the new GCA caches there. I had seen that the first to finds were gone, but decided I should continue on undaunted. While I was out grabbing eight new caches by the CO, I was alerted to a couple of new ones published after I'd left home. I sorted the coords and saw this one was a bit further along the road from the last of those I'd headed this way to get. I continued on and made a quick find, along with a GC cache at the same coords! Double bunger Even better was a blank logsheet and a *FTF* to go with it TFTC Tanso
