With a day off and the eagerness to get out for a cache or two, Wink I headed out for a run along the back-roads and Hume-HWY between Yass and Gunning. I chose this route to collect caches that has popped up, to avenge DNF’s and to collect caches I missed last time, I did this run (back in 2016). I found a good mixture of caches both in sizes and types of hides. Most were quick finds and all caches were signed and replaced except for three DNF’s and one NA. Out of 45 attempted caches, which is a mixture of both GC and GCA, I ended up finding 41 of them. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. Big Grin TFTC’s and TFTTP’s Big Grin

Found with Smittengranny out and about chasing GA caches for the game. This was our 2nd cache for the day and it was a quick find. We started early and headed to this cache then out to the trigs nearby and back to Yass. Had a great day and enjoyed being out on a beautiful if quite hot day.

Last day of my big road trip to Melbourne. Today is all about getting home in time for work tomorrow, but not without a few caches. I always like Sunday traffic and it made for good time so more time for caching. Thanks to all the cache owners for putting then out there!

After finding several caches in the near by area we ummed and arred as to whether we should look for this cache. Not being locals we were unsure of access however our GPS soon found a way. We are travelling in our town car which would have had difficulty handling the lower part of the trail so decided on shanks pony. Rain was threatening so coats were donned before we headed up.

On reaching the fork in the track we opted for the left branch, the steep uphill climb on the clayy surface instead of the right hand branch with its longer sealed road.

A steady scramble had us close to GZ after about 15 minutes. We then made a short bush walk (no bashing needed) to the cache site. After a short search we found the qell hidden cache. Unfortunately water had entered the container and some of the contents were quite damp. The well bagged log was dry and in good shape. After signing the log we used several large tissues to dry the container before rehiding it after which we headed to the top of the hill to enjoy the view before taking the sealed road back to our car.

Thanks for this cache Tanso. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip up the hill to your cache. Iyt was also good to have a kook at the Mundoonen Bush Reserve.

Been up here before to find the Mundoonen Trig. Cache a little hard to find due to a poor GPS signal, but spotted eventually. In good condition. Thanks.

GCA 1689. Out on a meander around the Yass region for some GC and GCA caches with minniek.

This was the next GCA find for the day. I've been up here a couple of times before but it was minniek's first visit - so a treasure trove of caches nearby for her ! I was happy to grab the 2 "new' caches - one of each flavour Cool

TFTC !! Always a fun drive up here !

It is a veritable treasure trove of caches up here - two trigs, one GA traditional and two GC traditionals. WELL worth the visit. I found a GC TB in this cache. There appears to have been a mix up of caches. The TB is travelling again now. We 'cheated' and drove up to the top. The cache and log are in good condition. TFTC Tanso.

A nice drive in the country with the CO to grab some caches for me and check on a few things for her. The weather was freezing and I found myself entertaining her at times while looking for her hides. Cant believe although I provided the transport, she said I was on my lonesome for the searching. I got the job done here eventually after my first torch decided it had flat batteries.

Last one for the day...but no way my 2WD could get over the ruts halfway the trail (should have brought the 4x4), so it was back down and then shanks pony to get up to the cache/s.

Only took 15 minutes, and once at the top this cache was soon in hand. Not much a of view today with the cloud around, but all was good and I was soon off to another one.

Thanks Tanso......a fun few hours.....

#GA678 - 17:40; After a successful day of caching in the Illawarra yesterday with Sol de lune, today was a solo run to Yass to check out the new GCA caches there. I had seen that the first to finds were gone, but decided I should continue on undaunted. While I was out grabbing eight new caches by the CO, I was alerted to a couple of new ones published after I'd left home. I sorted the coords and had then grabbed two of the really new ones before heading on into familiar territory and up the hill for this one. It was getting a bit dark when I reached the summit, but with the light of the trusty iPhone, all was revealed, including another blank logsheet and a third *FTF* for the mission Clapping TFTC Tanso Very HappyClan Cerberus
