A quick find. Another Battleship shot. TFTC

Travelling from Griffith NSW to the coast I decided to stop in Yass for a bit of Geocaching. My focus was Sui_001 and GCA caches. I spent so much time on Sui's I didn't get all the GCA ones I was hoping for. Unfortunately I have my caravan attached again now so can't really geocache today (20th).

I enjoyed doing a few quick easy ones with the GCAs. Thanks. Smile

With the country going into lockdown & meat / chicken / rice & dunny paper in short supply I figured it was time to go for a caching run & drop of some movables & complete some caches, needed to clear my head as job insecurity is of real concern & I had enough of the bullshit – so cache on – this was the 14th 1 completed after dropping off the movables. I very much enjoyed your caches today & the drive that it provided – many thanks for showing the area to me – cache found nicely - TFTC / TFTH / SL

I found this cache on my drive back to Canberra after a weekend in the Harden area. Cache and log are good. I added a bit more cover. TFTC Tanso.

With a day off in hand, I wanted to take the opportunity to go caching which had been decided a few days ago. This morning, I opened up my emails and I noticed that there was a new cache which oddly didn’t have any finds on it. Surprised What was even weirder, this new cache is in the heart of FTF hound country. Surprised Given I was already planning on caching in that area, I thought I would change up my driving route, so I could give myself the best chance of make the FTF. I knew I had about 2hrs of driving to get to GZ, so I drove in hope that I would get there before anyone else. I left Temora about 7:50am, arriving at the GZ parking area at 9:37am (a little less than 2hrs) and at 9:40am had the CIH. Big Grin But, was it a FTF? I opened the cache and next the log-book. After a quick flip through it became clear I was the FTF! Big Grin Once I signed and replaced the cache, I turned around and was greeted by an amazing view of the area. Big Grin Next, I decided to find some newer caches that has popped up since 2016 and avenge some past DNF’s around the area. I made 10 finds before lunch and after lunch I decided on hitting the ‘Tanso’ trail plus a few lone caches along the way, which added another 14 finds to the total. Big Grin Only three DNF’s, well two and one NA. Sad All found caches today, ended up being quick finds which left me wondering how, I could DNF the caches last time. I felt a bit like a [:o)]. TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring joy to me and the rest of the Geocaching community. Big Grin TFTC’s Big Grin

Joolay and I had set our sights on the caches out here to earn more points for the current game. Most were relatively easy finds, maintenance was done on some but all logs were signed. Thanks for the caches. Cache was returned to its hidey hole. Dancing

Found with Smittengranny out and about chasing GA caches for the game. We started early and headed to this cache then out to the trigs nearby and back to Yass. Had a great day and enjoyed being out on a beautiful if quite hot day.

This was hard to find as the road had been graded and the area covered up. But eventually we persevered and SG found it. Whew. Have replaced but made it not quite so hard to find.

The sky continued to darken as we carefully made our way to this cache. Before we headed up hill we had to cross a ford that had water flowing across it - this is something we rarely do, however we could see that the water was not deep and the flow was not strong. Over we went and up the hill. Although the darkening sky probably indicated that rain was not far away we enjoyed the contrast of the white gum trunks against the dark sky, worth several photos.

We had trouble finding a safe place to park at this one so one of us stayed with the car while the other looked for the cache. At first we thought it might be missing but some digging in a pile of gravel that seemed to have washed against a log unearthed a rather grimey container. Container and contents were all OK dispite the gravel.

Thanks for the cache Tanso we certainly enjoyed the views as we drove to this cache.

GCA 1686. Out on a meander around the Yass region for some GC and GCA caches with minniek.

This was the next GCA find for the day. A nice quick find at GZ - always happy about that !

Headed out for a quick afternoon of caching with fitzy_1965.

Our main aim was to clear out some GCA in the Yass area. Made a quick find here. Love picking up some unloved too.

Not really familiar with this "joiner" road, so interesting to have a look. Nice spot on the hill. Found the cache straight away. Still don't know what the hint means!

Thanks

A nice drive in the country with the CO to grab some caches for me and check on a few things for her. The weather was freezing and I found myself entertaining her at times while looking for her hides. Cant believe although I provided the transport, she said I was on my lonesome for the searching. I got the job done here and we were off to the next one.

Found 11:09am with LuckyL10n. I was out on a caching run with LuckyL10n and his partner and friend. We were doing a large loop to grab GC and GCA caches. The hide was fairly easy to spot. The log was signed and returned the cache back to its hiding spot. Hopefully they survive for a some time. Grabbed a photo too. Noticed it is back to proper labels again. After the last one hand written on the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

#GA687 - 11:10; I had sown the seed yesterday with the geohoney that we should go for a Sunday drive through the local countryside and perhaps collect a cache or two along the way. An itinerary was then hastily arranged and the geohoney's friend and MrDamage confirmed for the tour. MrD had collected some of the CO's caches which I had picked up last week, plus we had collected a couple of GC caches as well, before we hit these more recently published of the COs caches. A nice quick find on the way past after fording a flooded creek and a joint *3TF*. TFTC Tanso Very HappyClan Cerberus

Next one on my way around the area and no problems here. Pulled up just past the GZ and walked back to make a quick and easy find. Pity BB isn't a member of Cerberus, as his two finds would help us out....

Thanks Tanso...almost home straight now....
