Description

Number seven in this series of phone booth geocaches.

There are many songs dedicated to the telephone. This series of caches is dedicated the phone booth. There are not many left these days...come find the cache and make a call to someone significant...and maybe the booths will live on? PJM inspired this series with his cache further west. Something about superman, I think? This one was hard to place, as there wasn't the usual hiding spots and there is nothing magnetic to use...so...please be careful when replacing the cache. If there are any problems...Call me!

I have changed this one yet again. It is now magnetic...under and at the back

#GA2480 - 15:35; Day one of a caching mission in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After an early start in Canberra, we collected a few of the newer caches along the highway before we reached the foot of the mountains and started the major part of the mission, to collect GCA caches to help us meet some dragonZone trophy requirements. We had enjoyed a great start having picked up a few caches already, including the 10K series, as we were now headed up the hills. Another one which Sdl found on an earlier visit, but happy to stop for a quick find and sign for me to add another of superman's changing rooms to my found list. I was lucky to be able to park right next to it and after checking first, retrieved it quickly. No one at home in the webs thankfully! Sat in the car and signed the log and then returned as found. TFTC

A nice quick find on the way home from the coast. Being dark and all, muggles were not an issue today. With this geocache find I pronounce the Blue Mountains Griffin Gold once more. Smile

3 phone booths in a row...have to be honest, I've lost track a little, but our names are in the log book and all is good.

Thanks Alnic39....apologies for being vague.

An evening seek of the lower mnts caches of this series and dark ... a surprise at the number of vehicles parked, and claimed the only vacant marked parking space. A quick find and replace - though there is concern the lid is secure, or will remain so. A few warm days on the cache resting place may test its durability.

Very quick find today. TFTC.

Found with my mum & sister on our way home from my Cubs meeting.

10-Aug-15
Gradually working through this series with my mum & sister. We got this one after picking up Monkey Girl after Cubs.

10-Aug-15
The girls and I stopped for this one on our way home from Cubs. We were going to look for the ones in Blaxland and Glenbrook as well, but realised from a quick read of the logs that wouldn't be a good idea as they both seem to be missing at the moment. They'll keep to another night Cool .

Anyway, this one at Warrimoo was a quick find, after we out-waited a muggle collecting his mail.

Thanks Very Happy

A short detour on the way home.

TFTC.

05-Aug-15

Quick stop with Mrs. pjmpjm on our way back to Leura from Sydney.

All in good order with the cache. Velcro seems to be working OK.

Cache & contents dry. TNLNSL.

Thanks to alnic39 for yet another Blue Mountains GCA!

My second of this series but they appear to be breeding the more GCA caches the better. This was a quick park and grab and sign then on the way up to Faulconbridge to get the next one in the series and a few other caches in the area. Signed log and replaced, glad there was no one at the shop.

At 10:30 this morning I noticed a new cache and it's only 0.46km away, Yes!!! Very Happy
From home! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Confused
This is going to be a very long day.
I race home down the M4. Maybe not race but crawl, it is the M4.
I pick up the kids in Penrith and tell them what's happening. My daughter is happy because my son isn't.
We arrive at the GZ and my son (the one who didn't want to do the cache) is the first one out of the car and has the cache in hand before anyone else is out.
"Are we the first?" he asks,
"Patience grasshopper" I reply
We open the container and check the log and
And

Dramatic pause

No we have been pipped at the post.
But it was a good park and grab especially if you need a drink stop at this local shop
Thanks alnic39
Congratulations rogerw3
