Description

A simple puzzle cache. Find the house numbers to lead you to the prize.

This is my first puzzle cache…or any cache other than a traditional. I’ve tested it a few times myself and my son gave it a go too.

This is meant to be a celebration of my own street, as well as offering another cache to give this part of town something like a trail of both GC and GCA caches. The photos are in the order that you will find them as you walk down Davies Ave. Please park at the top of the street and enjoy the walk down. It won’t kill you! Stopping along the street in a car is not recommended. If you park at the icon (?) you’ll just have to walk back up.

Use the photos to find the property and use the house number to find the coordinates to the cache. “Reversed” simply asks you to reverse the number.

This has been on my to-do list for ages. Heading to the CO's to drop off some recycling bottles and cans for a charity, so decided to hunt for the info with rogerw3 on the way. Then off for walk to GZ with the CO. TFTC

Found with Geodad and sister. Dad didn't make it easy for us.

Found with Dad and Lachnic on a wet morning. Easy to work out, as it is in our own street.

Sometimes you can go a long way for a cache and today wasn't one to be walking the streets but this one made for a reasonable scavenge score. Interesting mixture of architecture in your street, when you look closely. Found the cache rather faster than the numbers and dived back into the A/C car. Thanks Alnic39.

Mum said we had had to help her find some caches tonight, while our brother was at gymnastics. I helped with this one by spotting some of the houses.

Thanks.

Mum wanted to go caching this evening, so she dragged me and MonkeyGirl out to keep her company. And to spot the houses she needed for this puzzle. I made one little mistake, but I think I made up for it by spotting the last house needed when Mum missed.
thank you.

The last few weeks I have been either too busy for caching, or have had car issues. So today, with dance finished for the year, I decided it was time for a little fun after we dropped CFig at his last gymnastics class for the year. We only had an hour, so we picked this street as a suitable target.

This one was a good choice to start with, and identifying the houses was easy with multiple sets of eyes. However it did have the drawback of accepting a teenager's answer for one number. She got the house next door. Not a major problem you might think, except that it was one that needed to be reversed. That gave a GZ several kilometres away. I corrected her error & got a much more reasonable GZ!

Then we had a quick walk and an easy find.

Thanks Alnic, the three of us enjoyed this one.

Found on a weekend trip to the Blue Mountains with Sol de Lune. Yeah, we'll be honest here - we didn't walk, lol, we were really tired! SdL drove while I wrote down the answers to the questions. Even though we didn't do it the right way, we loved the concept for this cache - haven't seen this before, which was really cool. Once we got the coordinates solved, it was a quick find at GZ. Cool little cache. TFTC Alnic39! Clan Cerberus

Grabbed with Toy Hunters during our 2 day run around the Cerberus Mountains.... Clan CerberusClan Cerberus

Ok...lets say it up front...we didn't walk. We'd be in and out of the car and walking all day, so I decided the air con car was the way to go. Had to do 2 trip up and back, but all the info was gathered and all was good. Once couple even waved to us. Friendly lot around your street...good to see.

Once all the calc's were done, we were soon at GZ and had the cache in hand....so all good.

A nifty idea for a cache, enjoyed it....apologies for not walking though....but we were getting tired.

Thanks Alnic39.....*Recommended* this one for being something different.

parked up the top of Davies Road and had a walk down the road, been down here a few times in the past, following the pictures had worked out 2 of the pictures. so knew roughly how far down had to find them. Had a person working in the front yard at one of the properties and said hello. Finally got all the details and plugged in the new co-ordinates and headed off. Got to where the GPSr said was the closest Oh No it is up there. So worked my way up to the top where I made a quick find. Signed the log and replaced as found. Second to find then found the easy way back to the road. On the way back to my car got sprung by CO just as I was going past his place

A really nice mystery cache that worked out rather easily once I found where the pictures were and figured out the order!?! Just bad misreading I think.

In the end, the find took a while for the GPS to settle. But it was all fairly simple.

TFTC.
