Description

AAI - Turtle

This is one of a series of five caches placed for the purpose of sharing the GCA Aborignal Art inspired path tag set, a stunning collection of tags produced for Geocaching Australia.

There are five tags in the set, five caches in the series and five sets of tags in the caches. If you are one of the first five finders of this cache, one of the Turtle tags within is yours to keep. If you are one of the first five finders on each of the five caches in the series, then the entire collection could be yours.

It would be appreciated if everyone who takes a tag leaves another tag as a swap for future cachers, but this is optional if you are one of the first five finders.

Please do NOT take the tag that is glued into the cache ... that is there for viewing purposes only. If there are no Turtle tags in the bag or loose in the cache, you have missed out.

DO NOT TAKE A TAG ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER CACHER - no tags to be taken for anyone who doesn't attend the cache and sign the log.

If you spot the Balga growing out of a rock (see gallery), you are close to the cache.

Enjoy

tftc firnsy found all the remnants of this cache lying on the ground so put it back where i thought it should go. There was a lot of evidence of anti social behaviour up at mt dale when i was there. Shame the cache keeps getting destroyed. Maybe i could place a new cache up there in a new spot.

Out for a day of exploring & Mt Dale was our chosen destination... Of course we had a few diversions along the way, but we eventually got here & found some familiar suspects at the nearby carpark... We joined them for a short walk to find this cache after looking for the trig. We were all clambering around the rocks when Honeybee_Perth found the prize Dancing

Unfortunately the cache may have been muggled as the lid was found first, then the logbook & the rest of the container... After adding our names to the logbook we put it back were we thought it should go. Very Happy

We had just arrived as some muggles turned up, but turned out it was Jason and Janine with the boys so all was well on Mount Dale Very Happy

I was heading up to the hills and was looking for a few caches to do when i saw the comment that there was a pathtag left in this cache so decided to go fro a drive and fine the cache. The carpark was full upon arrival with what looked like a 4wd club on an outing. Thankfully they were all confined to teh carpark and i was able to wander off and look for the cache in peace. The cache was easily found thanks to the large moveable frog sitting upon it. I opened the cache and not only didn't find the pathtag that was supposed to be there but no log book or anything else for that matter. I opened up the moveable and found two log book inside it so assumed that one was supposed to be in this cache so have replaced it. TFTC.

The road in wasn't as bad as I though so a great drive in.
