Was out doing some caching in the area on a nice sunny day and traveled around dropping off lots of moveables. I collected lots of other caches whilst out and about. It was an interesting morning and took me around many suburbs and into the hills. I ended up travelling about 200km when i only intended to do a short drive. I saw lots of interesting sights whilst out and about as some of the moveables were in great locations whilst others were in areas requiring lots of walking. After heading back to the northern suburbs and down the coast i found a few moveables that were hiding and did not realize were still in my car. So i dropped them off in a convenient spot on my home which was an easy spot to get to without detouring around. Gnoesick is resting in the bush with some friends close by and i hope that gnoemsick travels far and wide in his travels.
Reading previous logs, this moveable may still be in location OR may have been found, removed and not relocated yet. We know moveables can sometimes be forgotten / missed / left in the bottom of a caching bag, so a check has been undertaken on this one.

The better half and I went out for a drive in the country picking up some traditional caches and a whole load of moveable ones. The sealed roads that we went on were obviously OK but according to the better half not the gravel and 4wd ones which only confirmed her aversion to going down them in any vehicle.
Picked up these moveables on the way back to the City after visiting York and other places in between.

Time to catch up and log all the moves made for the large number of moveable caches that we have accumulated over the last months.
On the trip out into the Wandoo forrest area with the better half doing some maintenance of my caches after a fire and we dropped off a number of moveable caches along the way.

I was being looked after by Chwiliwr and the better half for the day at their place and whilst there saw a whole big group of moveable caches that were being organised for a move somewhere by my grandparents so played with them for a bit before they were packed up. (Those that were not too fragile to be played with.)

Happy Birthday Geocaching Australia
Happy Birthday Geocaching Australia
Being one I've found previously, plus it's now well after dark, ordinarily I would not stop to look for this. However, it's 15th March and I've found 13 dz caches so far today; thus need two more to earn "Ides of March" trophy, and as luck would have it there's two moveables sitting together here on my way home. Mission accomplished!
This gnome like Humpty Dumpty and had a great fall, and cracked under pressure.
Have glued him back up as best able, now back up on his feet.

Discovered 'Gnomesick #Genome2' at the Moveable & Mystery Madness Event held in Whiteman Park. The forecast was for rain but we were blessed with good weather for the day. A small but dedicated group of geocachers and a couple of new faces attended and exchanged stories of caches found and missed. Many thanks Karsen for the cache.

Planning for this trip began in June - we knew we would be heading to Adelaide but which way would we go? This depended on our targets. We looked at our list of unclaimed Dragon Zone trophies and picked out several that we could feasibly collect the required number of finds to qualify for the trophy. We then had to identify caches that would meet our targets and from here it was time to plan a route that would take us past the caches we had identified. Any caches too far off our route were discarded and replaced by suitable alternatives.
All was running smoothly until the Christmas in July game was announced. We would be travelling in the latter part of the game. It was difficult to include this in our target caches as we did not know what was required. Once the game began and we understood what we needed to do we could then add other caches to the target list.
We were just getting our heads, yes all four of them, around this when more Dragon Zone trophies were added. Which ones could we meet and which should we ignore? Do we need to add more GA caches and/or do we need to change our route and our targets? We decided on our target list and then our route and timeline. We had just drawn a line under everything and were about to begin printing our caching booklets, route maps and target lists when caught@work published 23 new caches on the Western Ring Path. Earlier we had decided on the caches in the Edgewater Walk series. If we added the new ones on the Western Ring Path and as many of the CCC series as possible, we could probably reach the required number of caches to qualify for the Dragon Zone trophies “Restraining Order Stalker” (Find 100 DZ caches hidden by the same cacher) and “Obsession!=Insanity” (find 50 DZ caches in a day). As the latter would give us our first Blaze Trophy, it was decided to alter everything to include the CCC series.Four Fun, in South Australia published five puzzle caches that would bring good points in the Christmas in July game. Can we solve the puzzles? A few more adjustments to the route and the caches to find list and we would be off.
Having successfully completed our Melbourne challenges and gained our first Blaze Dragon Zone trophy it was time to focus on the Christmas in July game. We started on the Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park puzzle caches recently published by Four-Fun. With Four-Fun's puzzles found, several of J_&_J's puzzles found and the Christmas in July game over it was time to focus on completing the requirements for a few more Dragon Zone Trophies.
When we knew that there was a possibility that we would have a break from grand parent duties we had planned this slight detour so that we could find both GA and GC caches that would meet the requirements for several Dragon Zone trophies and several GC challenge caches in several states. As we had already visited all states and territories except Western Australia this year it was time for us to hop on a plane and head for Perth, Western Australia.
When we were at home we had noticed that Lazarus68 had been collecting moveable caches during a recent visit to the eastern states. We wondered if Lazarus would be back in the west by the time we visited and if we would have an opportunity to find the moveables that were in his care. So, we contacted Lazarus and the stars did align. We made arrangements to visit and we were able to log finds on quite a few moveable caches. Many thanks Lazarus68 for making these caches available for our visit. In turn, we left another ten moveables in the area which are also now in the care of Lazarus68.

In my safe hands
Intend moving this to Perth WA, where some fresh moveables will be welcome.

Left at Leura during a storm for a local cacher.
Right outside my house!?!
How did I not notice?
Nice quick find for my youngest.

It's still there under its blonde hair. Thorny bush near entrance. Coords rechecked, within 5m today.
Hmmmm. Blonde hair? This one was a mystery.
No-one was at home, but rogerw3 know this place! We searched quite a long time, but in vain.
Canary? Hope you grabbed it and just forgot to log it!
Stopped by today but no luck, no Gnome to be found.
Found the hint rather obscure, Blonde Hair?

Gnomesick's gnot home but should find a friend here.
I was in the area so thought it would be easy to pick this guy up. Well, I doubt that there's a more difficult route than the one I chose, especially with the creeks in full flow after the rains. Nonetheless, Gnomesick is now my guest for a little while.

A new home in a noodle tree! Only 1m off the path. Should be easy to spot.
I got poked, scratched, stabbed, webbed and bitten but I found him! Took a good while so I took him with me or soon he'd be so hidden under the greenery and lag litter he'd never be found! Satisfying!

Gnome is still in place. They are hiding at the base of one of the plants, near a gap in the group of plants.
No sign of this or the other one that is supposed to be here this afternoon, though without a hint there are a lot of possible spots around. Gave it a pretty good look though in all the likely places. Sadly it may well be missing.
A collection of Geognomes - this one found his twin - and they have been named "Fred" and "George" by Miss Shifter.
Hi karsen. Gnomesick has found a new place to hang out with friends. He couldn't help but get stuck into a bit of gardening here as it was looking a bit messy. He may get some fishing in whilst here too.
Went on a very walk in Leura tonight - I was going to do the night cache here but being alone, female and in a dust cloud that made it hard to see where I was walking with the headlamp, I only got a few steps in and gave up. Found some new friends nearby though!
Being isolated for the duration of the GeGnome race, I was pretty chuffed to find so many GeGnomes in one night. So, not sure if they were wanting to go home or not, but they are off on another adventure now.

A last hurried move back down the mountains before the end of the race.
Gnomesick has taken a trip further west . . . at least temporarily . . .
will arrive in Grandstand for a gnome convention 0830 30/11
found on my regular walk in company with several gnomes. picked him up to give him a dry home.

A likely spot for a somewhat depressed GeGnome . . .
Another new Gegnome for me . . . thanks to the move by rogerw3.
This one is heading off to Rookwood immediately . . .
Moved up the mountains for a very short stopover before going back to the Big Smoke. Don't go looking, gone already!
What do you know he is still here, but no longer now on the move up the mountains.

Moved him down to the regular Kenley Park spot where he should be able to get another move in before the end of the race.
I know for a little country gnome, the thought of coming to the big smoke must be a bit daunting, which is probably why he stopped at Berowra to dip his toes into the water so to speak. But the time comes when a move must be made, so I went up and grabbed him this afternoon to bring to civilisation.
Located at Berowra. South end of metal railed fence under leafy bush
Gnomesick looked so right in our garden it was easy to forget he was in a race. A trip to Tamworth was an opportunity to find him a new home and it was with a heavy heart we found a shady spot and bid him farewell. Happy travels Gnomesick. TFTC Karsen, sorry to take so long with the move
This was kind of weird. Thought we had Thunderbolts Rock to ourselves but just heading back to the car another had pulled in behind us. And while he was out having a ciggie, checking the car tyres and doing the usual things, we were taking a gnome for a walk! Gnomesick was easily found. That red hat in the brown New England landscape was like a beacon at 10 metres. Will move on soon, unfortunately not likely to be too far. TFT karsen.
