Tennis Court in the Wilderness
The sign at Karragullen says "Beverley 99 ... Brookton 99". The turn-off to Beverley is at Westdale, about 56km down the road from Karragullen. Apart from the bitumen, the odd farmhouse and a wheat siding, there is not very much in the way of human civilisation between Karragullen and either of these destinations. There is, as ROSS1957 discovered, a Hall on the Beverley-Westdale Road.
Along the Brookton Highway east of Westdale, there is nothing much apart from the Dale Tennis Club. Until now, there wasn't even a geo-cache. So I decided that a cache was needed, and placed this one next to the tennis club.

A very quick find while going from Hyden to Perth. We agree with your description of the lack of civilisation. It is difficult to believe that when you leave Brookton there is no fuel til you are on the outskirts of Perth. Thanks for the hide.

What an unexpected and sad place this was. The first find on today's road trip with Me&B. Both of us were amazed the place hadn't been vandalised as it clearly hasn't been used for many years.

Out for a drive around the area with Lazarus. We stopped bye and had a few strange looks as we drove in, it looks like the small side road is being used as a staging area for the local road works. Quickly found the cache and signed the log before continuing on our way. Thanks Firnsy for the cache.
