Description
Hi, I am WizWick Story Teller and I am part of the GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo Race, please keep me moving and safe.
Game Period: 01-Dec-2015 00:00:00 to 31-Jan-2016 23:59:59 AEST
GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo is a game where geocaching garden gnomes (known as GeGnomes) will race around the world accumulating finds, moves and distance in order for their owner to be crowned GeGnomic King or Queen.
The game requires you to hide a moving geocache on Geocaching Australia on the 1st of December 2015 and then you can sit back and watch as your GeGnome travels Australia and the world. You can also help other GeGnomes by finding and moving them along at Geocaching Australia.
RULES / ETTIQUITE
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the GeGnome to another geocacher to hide).
- There is no limit to the number of times a geocacher can find / move the GeGnome provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.
- If a geocacher moves your GeGnome overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the GeGnome mover may move your GeGnome back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.
- There is no limit to the distance other geocachers can move the GeGnome.
- Avoid rehiding a GeGnome far from active geocachers territory as it basically exits the gnome from the race
- When rehiding a GeGnome get good co-ordinates. Seriously. Don't dump and run. Get co-ords as you would a permanent GeGnome.
- When making your log against a GeGnome include a good hint so the finder can identify whether it's been moved, muggled or just a bad GPS day.
- This is a challenge of moving GeGnomes along, not trying to make them impossible to find, so help you fellow players out by making the task enjoyable
- Please avoid hiding movable caches near existing Groundspeak or Geocaching Australia geocaches. At Groundspeak geocaches they go missing as rubbish or taken as trades. At Geocaching Australia geocaches the other geocache ends up travelling as well which it's not supposed to. So please find a location away from any existing geocaches (except of course other movable geocaches) to keep the GeGnomes in play for as long as possible.
- Do not leave GeGnomes at the site of the Chrome Gnome along Melbourne’s Peninsula Link freeway. VicRoads frequently attend and destroy gnomes which are left at this location.
Prizes
- GeGnome with the most moves in total (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome with the most moves > 0 km* and < 1 km (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome with the most moves >= 1 km* (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome with the most moves >= 10 km* (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome with the most moves >= 100 km* (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome with the most moves >= 1,000 km* (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome that has the highest cumulative distance moved (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- GeGnome that has the single highest distance moved (provided the owner hasn't already won a prize)
- Other winners will be announced as the countdown continues
* Distances will only apply once. i.e. If a GeGnome moves by 150 km it will count in the > 100 km category only and will not count in the > 10 km and > 1 km categories.

Will move it along soon
Cheers
I removed Gary the GeGnome, and left this one in its place.
I had to check whether this was the actual cache I was looking for as there is no gnome present. It had a GA code, so we brought it back to J & J HQ to see where we can hide it next.
Thanks tigersden.
Safe travels!!!!
As we turned off the main road we were pleased to see that the track leading to the river was dry. We felt our 2WD, low clearance street car would be able to manage this. We were about a third of the way to the first group when the track deteriorated and we found ourselves straddling some deep ruts the result of 4WD in the wet. Slowly and carefully we made our way towards the hide. We were able to park within 25m of the hide.
Accurate coordinates led us to the well hidden swag which, to our surprise, was a supermarket bag that was well tied up. We had no time to check all the moveable so grabbed the lot and stashed the bag, moveables and all in the car. It was then a slow trip back to the junction and down the next track to the next gathering or what turned out to be an equably daunting trip to the next hide where we found another bag of caches. We then headed back to the junction with the third track and a third group of caches.
We saw some awesome camping spots by the river on our way in and out and were glad to make it out with out any damage to the car apart from a very thick layer of dust.
After a very full day we spent the evening sorting the moveables and now to log them. We did not know what to make of WizWick initially as it is a very different structure.
We will take this one for a short trip before releasing him in time for the Ides of March.
Thanks
Albida
Glad to sign off on this one just before I take it on a trip south next week.
TFTC !!
Looks familiar? Must have seen another like it sometime. Fitzy says he'll get it back out in the wild again soon.
TFTC !!
Have taken this one and we relocate soon.
Thanks TD....
After some minor repairs I'll release it back into the wild, perhaps at a GC event in Heathcote.
A quick drive by while heading off to do some other geocaching this afternoon. We will try to rehide this one shortly, but its size may make this a small challenge to find a suitable location.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this cache and for joining in the game this year.
